"Oh yeah," He said with gusto, "It made me so light headed, like I was above the water almost. It's also so clear, almost too clear..."
He didn't realize it was the fresh water that caused this type of feeling, and assumed it was just a different place. Much like how he would feel a bit strange if he swam too deep into the sea too fast, he assumed this was him swimming too fast up the river. He wasn't the smartest to figure out that fresh water and salt water were very different.
Nodding, he smiled again at her, grateful she was promising to not spread his opinion to the wandering ears of his deep sea friends."
Do you want to stay in the reefs forever, Fui Fui?" He asked after a moment, "I know some people have decided to move, or want to move, but I love the reefs so much..."

Fui Fui went wide eyed as her new friend explained to her what happened when he went on to the new place. That was quite surprising, not something that she'd expected to happen even in the least bit. So a person could get light headed and ill from traveling? She'd never experienced that but to be fair she supposed that she'd never left the reefs. Maybe it was an environmental thing? Something she'd have to talk to her mother about sooner then later.
"Me? Oh, I don't know... I know my mother has been considering traveling to other places to sing, just as we sing in the different towns among the reefs. I'm not sure when she's planning on doing so or if I will be staying with my father while she travels initially." She cocked her head to the side, tapping her finger thoughtfully against her lips as she thought about the idea of traveling.
"Like you said, I love the reefs... I love the people I've met here, love my parents... but traveling in the future might be nice."

Pello smiled at the thought, also thinking of how wonderful it was to travel. He loved his home, the way the sunlight dyed the waters, but he appreciated how the deep sea had swimming stars and deeper colors. He's not sure he'd like never having experienced that at least once in his life, and he was sure he'd feel the same way about the river and swamps in the mainland.
"Maybe one day," He backtracked a moment, "I might go up there, but only if I have time. Right now I'm ok with being in the sea!"
Thinking a moment more, he decided that was enough talk for him, and turned the conversation back to the singing, "Could you teach me one of your songs?"

"Yeah, I agree. I think that I am happy enough traveling around the reefs for now myself. Once I'm older I might go though if things go accordingly." Unless of course her mother decided to bring her along during one of her trips into the fresh water areas. For the time being though traveling was something that she'd dream about instead.
Clapping her hands together Fui Fui smiled as conversation turned away from traveling and instead to singing. Now that was something she knew far better then long distance travel. Something that she could actually share as well. Giving a nod of her head she said, "I know a few songs that I could share, yes!"
She'd taught another friend in the past so it shouldn't be too hard to teach another one some of the more simple songs passed down to her by her mother.

Pello smiled, excited to have a new friend who would teach him a new song. It was always nice to learn something new and have a friend participate as well.
"Well let's find someplace where we can practice!" He responded, his smile brighter than the sun as he realized he'd have something fun to do the rest of the evening. He was glad that Fui Fui was singing, and that he heard. It was nice to meet a friend, and he hoped she would travel a lot through his village so he could learn from here again and again. For now, he would work hard to learn as much as he could before he needed to return home for the night.
