Sylvite was getting slower, too, each breath coming hard through her gritted teeth. Usually, when she was out there fighting knights or whatever, she was just trying to get away, so it was weird giving it her all like this. She took another hit despite her best dodging efforts. This guy just didn't stop. She took a couple steps back, again, and straightened, again, with a sharp exhale this time. It kept getting harder and she might even call the match after another hit. She didn't wanna be too much of a bruised mess just 'cause of practice. Still, she didn't want to give up quite yet. She didn't want to lose to a lieutenant. Especially with the kind of comments he was making. "With more practice, huh?" she said, not bitter, really, like she'd been about him not taking her advice, but she had a raised eyebrow and a definite smirk. She teleported right behind him and aimed a kick at his low back, as strong as she could make it. This was her shot. "Okay, then."

"Yeah, practice," he repeated, quirking a brow at that smirk. He wasn't sure if it was because she took insult to his words or if she found them amusing.
He saw the kick coming, knew where she was aiming...but he was already too slow and he took a misstep when he tried to dodge. Rather than hit his back it hit him smack in the ribs and set him falling off toward his right. He landed with a thud and groaned loudly as he slowly sat himself up, his entire body throbbing and heavy with pain. He waved a hand in surrender, though, and shot her a smirk.
"Gotta call it. Any more and I might not be able to go to work tomorrow."

Sylvite backed off right away when she saw the hand go up. Then, she let herself just double over, hands on her knees, where she spent a full thirty seconds just panting. Eventually, her breath slowed down and she popped back up, grinning big even as she shook her head to try to get her sweaty bangs out of her eyes. Yep, she totally needed more practice to win a fight. Like, it wouldn't hurt. She should probably do stuff like this more often, but for now it still felt really good to know that she was stronger, that she could win against some tough guy who was also a real adult. "Whew," she said as she stepped back towards him again. "Like I said, you're good. That was good." She nodded and shifted her weight from foot to foot. She wasn't so tired that there wasn't any bounce left in her. She took another glance around the pretty empty area they'd found themselves in. "Okay. Are you gonna stay and punch the air some more, or do you want a ride back to the city?"

When he saw that she backed off he fell back on his hands, taking slow, deep breaths to get his body the oxygen it was clearly craving for. When he was recovered enough that he could stand, he did, and he sighed but let the loss go. It was training, after all, and as long as he got a good fight out of it--which he felt he did this time--he didn't care whether the result was win or lose for him.
"It was," he said, offering his hand. "And I could use a ride, thanks for offering. If you ever need a training partner just let me know. More practice really couldn't hurt, right?"

"Okay," she said, and she went over, grabbed his hand, squeezed her eyes shut, and ended up back up in Destiny City. She was a couple blocks away from her apartment, which hopefully was convenient for him, 'cause she could only teleport so much, and being all worn out from the fight, she had reached that limit. "Yeah, same for you, too," she said, giving one last smile. "I should be on the communicators most nights. So, um, bye!" She gave a little wave, and then started off down the street. It was time to collapse facefirst into her bed.
