Katie Catigern HP: 15 Nurse HP: 0
It all happened so fast, but then, everything happened fast when it felt a little like Katie was underwater. She was still trying to assemble the collected brain power to mourn the loss of her phone when she noticed the sounds of a scuffle towards where she'd seen that figure in the darkness. Instinctually, she didn't want to get anywhere near where she'd Gaunt McMonstermouth, but intellectually, she had to know what was going on. Feeling a bit like a zombie herself, she lumbered forward, rubbing at her eyes in the hope that it would give her some kind of focus.
What she found when her vision was adjusted to the low light was a bunch of people around a hog-tied nurse, which was...bad. This was bad, right? "Jesus Christ," she murmured lowly, leaning against a wall. "This is...some full riot mode stuff, guys..."
And then, closing one of her eyes, she started to hum along to something vague and warbly under her breath. "...beings in a mob...mob to a king...king to a frog...frog to a tied-up nurse...who don't believe in...anything..."
It made her chuckle, just a little.Quote: what's up I haven't had a chance to write tags in days

Toby YatesHP: 15 Nurse HP: 0 Fear of doctors was something that Toby had never developed, luckily, but all the same this was getting more than a little spooky. And then, of course, creepy nurse started… objecting strenuously to people trying to figure out what was going on. There were enough people in that pile that he decided it would be best to hang back, make sure some people didn’t fall all over themselves or whatever while stumbling around and… …wait, what was that? Was she singing about him? In spite of the scene around, he snorted. “Er, how about we…let those guys handle that, huh?” he said to Katie. “I’m sure there’s a nice seat with a bucket nearby for you…” AMItotic Toby follows, feeling responsible for bringing Miss Definitely On Top Of Things to this shindig.

Jack MaazHP: 15 It was just an absolute mess of a situation, and Jack's reaction to it all was not impressive in the least. She totally forgot that she was infact a soldier of light that should have been stepping up to defend the poor girl that had been so randomly attacked. Instead she screamed, panicked, and ran for Katie, who was much taller and much tougher. Never mind she was also very drunk, or something to that effect. She grabbed for Katie's arm, swing around to place herself half behind the tall woman, and then instantly felt ashamed of herself for having abandoned not only the folks fighting the feral nurse(and what the hell was that all about?!?) But the girl with the hurt wrist as well.

Sadie Avamir HP: 15 There was suddenly a nurse. Sadie didn't appreciate the smug look in her eyes, and she really did not appreciate the way that she straight away smacked a girl in the face with a clipboard. However, the way the crowd reacted to that small act of violence with considerably more violence, going to beat the woman within an inch of her life filled Sadie with complete disgust. It was a desperate time. She understood that. Everyone here was in pain and felt unsafe. She understood, but she did not approve. Still, she could not help, could do nothing but take her shaky palms and find a safe corner to squeeze her good eye shut in. Bystanding was also an act of violence, she knew that, but also they were fast, everything was over quickly. "This is not good," she said, and then looked around, back towards her companions who looked equally shocked. Would there be more?

Alphonse Wingates-St. Grey / HP: 13 / DMG: 1Current Boss HP: 0 ”I know it’s a lot to promise someone you’ve never met, but I will do everything I can to get you out of here.” Alphonse began to let his guard down now that the nurse was more or less tied up and the threat was, for the time being, only the dark. ”I’m not very brave myself...” The small-framed young man said with a blush as he looked around at the others, especially the woman who had contained the nurse just now. ”But I have been trying to keep faith that this black-out will be resolved and we’ll get the lights back on.””What’s your name?” He said as he extended a hand to other man - his uninjured one as his other hand was still wounded. ”I’m Alphonse.”✪

The nurse collapses at the final blow, falling in a heap on the ground. Unconscious, she is much less intimidating than earlier, her eyes closed. Clearly she had not anticipated the sheer desperation of everyone in the room; and as she falls, something metallic falls from her hand and clanks to the floor:
A small copper key.

You may now leave the room. Please have ONE person pick up the key and go here.

Alphonse Wingates-St. Grey / HP: 13Clink!A small, old-style copper key fell to the ground in the now silent room. The nurse, who had been fighting the patients who had walked into the examination room for answers, was now incapacitated on the ground. He wondered why she had attacked them. It didn’t make any sense. He understood that emotions were high. Almost everyone here had an injury or was sick or in pain. They wouldn’t be at the center if they weren’t. The few that were well were caring for those that had come. It made sense to be worried. And, given the blackout, it made sense to be scared. But violent too? The situation didn’t make sense to Alphonse. Something - though he didn’t know what - was amiss. Looking over the nurse, he felt her pulse like he had been taught in first aid. She seemed like she was unconscious. Hopefully, another nurse would arrive soon to tend to her. But what about the key? Could this - one little piece of metal - help them find a way out of this mess? ”Maybe we should try and see if this key will open any of the doors. I think we should try...”✪Everyone Is it okay if I pick up the key?

Toren Estel Toren's HP: 11 -----------------
He stared at the hand and then, pulling it away from his face, shook it. Despite having his arm bandaged, he didn't seem to mind as he gave it a few shakes before withdrawing it.
"I'm Toren." He answered.
"We should stick close." In case anyone ambushed them.
As he sat, he watched as Alphonse found a key from the nurse and looked at it. "Okay....I'll follow you."

Dessie's HP: 11Dessie didn't argue with the guy when he said there were likely more of them but she couldn't help making sure he saw her face when she said, " No one will take you. No one. I won't let them." She wouldn't let anyone who was this scared out of her site let alone be taken anywhere without their consent. Hell she wouldn't let someone who didn't look like they were on the bad side of a mental breakdown 'be taken' without their consent. She would go down fighting first. Alphonse seemed to be feeling the same since he also reiterated his certainty that they would get out of this in one piece. She honestly thought he was a little naive if he thought that the lights would come back on and all would be right once more but she didn't correct him, instead she glanced back at where the nurse was hogtied. A metal clang had drawn her attention even as the kid introduced himself to the guy who was still just shy of losing it, Toren apparently. She wasn't the only one who heard it either since Alphonse checked the lady's pulse and picked up a key. Who used keys like that now? This whole place was getting more and more bizarre. With a shrug the blonde just sighed, "It's better than trying to bust bullet proof glass or smash open metal doors I guess. Dessie, by the way." Her introduction to Toren was said rather absently before she spoke up to the room in general. "Let's blow this popsicle stand people. We all have places to go and people to see," I've got to find Ian, she silently added as she waited for her two to get moving.

Alphonse Wingates-St. GreyAlphonse was glad that Dessie had backed him up in assuring Toren. How had he found such good people in this strange place? He nodded with a serious face - a expression of determination, leadership even, that he didn’t have before - and took the key firmly in his hand with both companions behind him. ”Let’s get out of here.”✪MoonKitsune Alphonse will power up in the next room. You can react to Alphonse disappearing.

Katie Catigern
Vaguely, Katie was aware that Jack was hanging onto her arm. Even more vaguely, she was aware of the boyscout talking to her again. Mostly she was interested in the glint of whatever key got dropped by the psycho nurse, but everything about her was moving slow, too slow to reach for it or interact in any meaningful way. The glimmer of the metal also did something to make her head spin and her stomach lurch (though it was more likely just the benadryl). In either case, she wobbled on her feet, leaning as much into Jack as the petite girl was sinking into her.
“Yeah...I guess we can do thaaaat,” Katie murmured, frowning but for no particular reason. “If the doctors are all gonna be a bunch of…hic...punk-a** jerks, we might as well...I dunno...call the cops on them or something.” She continued to hum to herself, reaching in her pocket for the phone she’d thrown down the hallway at whatever monster had definitely been there. Then, she remembered that she had in fact thrown her phone away and it was pretty much dead to her, so she sighed, looking forlornly at the boyscout.
“You said you knew where a bucket was?” Even in the low light, she was starting to look a little clammy and green. She squeezed Jackie’s hand, and then she wobbled forward, feeling a little bit more like maybe the frog had been right. “I just gotta...I need a bucket minute, and then I can rainbow us outta here, no problem.” She wasn’t sure if she could actually bust them out as Chauvet, but she was reasonably sure she could kick down a door or two if she could just...remember where her feet were.
If the way she stumbled past Toby was any indication, she was going to need at least a few bucket minutes to set herself straight. She tugged loosely at Jack’s arm, like they were going to travel to the bathroom as a group.

Jacqueline MaazJack was trying, not entirely successfully, to make herself as unnoticeable and small as possible. If she could have willed herself to disappear, to be anywhere else but standing here as the nurse dropped, she would have. WHich was, she knew, pretty damn cowardly for someone that was supposed to be a soldier of light, but the last time she'd gotten involved in something like this she'd ended up knocked out in a burning theater, and if it hadn't been for Branden...well, she didn't want to think about that. That incident was the entire reason she was here now. Getting checked out weeks after because she was still getting headaches, and she was pretty sure they should have stopped by now. She'd been worried, so she'd driven herself to the clinic. Funny, headaches didn't seem like a big deal anymore. She missed the key dropping to the ground, but when Katie's weight shifted to lean into her side Jack straightened a bit, providing her tall friend with the support she needed, even in fear. But I guess the fighting is over... Calling the cops sounded like a great idea. Let them come sort all this craziness out. It wasn't their job. She blinked as Katie squeezed her hand, looking up at the volleyball player and frowning as she noticed how pale she looked, even with the lights still out. "Oh, hang on. Let's just, um." Both hands on Katie's arm she looked around for a restroom sign. When she spotted one she started steering the redhead towards it. "Come on." She did look back at the young man that'd been helping, flashing a grateful, if strained smile to him. "I can take her home with me, she can sleep off whatever this is." In that moment, Jack didn't really register what Katie had said about rainbowing them out of there. [Jack Exit]
