"There are other things to do. I went fishing with my twin sisters recently. That was a lot of fun. I need to practice a bit more so that I can actually get good at it. I think fishing might actually be harder then hunting because the fish make such small targets. They are definitely worth going after though since they are so delicious."

Tariu starred down at the pair of apprentices that came into the room, taking in the meat that was offered up to him. He reached out, taking it from her, and said, "I am sure that your Aunt Anohako will appreciate this. Shark is one of their favorite meats to eat. I might make the wait on the eggs a bit easier as well." Or so the man hoped knowing that his mate was getting more and more antsy these days.

"I hope mother likes it. We are gonna go outside and do some training... do you know if Koloa or the twins are going out on a hunt or a fishing trip soon? I'd like to tag along with them! Maybe I can drag Ailani around too!"

Giving a thoughtful sound Tariu said, "I will get back to you on that. Go ahead and enjoy your training you two." He made a dismissive motion with his hand, allowing them to leave if they wished.

Luka gave a nod of his father before he turned around, swimming out of the house along with Ailani. Once they were outside again he turned around, looking her over, before he said, "Well, I figured that we would start with some laps around the house. It will help you... well both of us, to better our stamina." Something that Ailani needed more then he did but he wouldn't say as much out loud. He didn't want to chase her off after all.

"Come on, we will do five laps around the house, see how you're doing, and decide where to go from there." It would be a good way to spend time while waiting on any sort news from his mother. The anticipation of seeing his siblings was palpable, but it was something that he would have to deal with since it wasn't as though he could urge the eggs into hatching.

Looking forward he set to counting to three before taking off, hoping that his cousin would be right behind him.

Luka looked over his shoulder, pleased to see that Ailani was in fact following him. This was a really good start! With a bit more in the way of encouragement maybe he would be able to help her make something of herself! Now he would be crazy in thinking that she'd become a hunter over night but maybe she'd do... well, something useful. So long as she served their family at least all of the members would be happy.

Now he wasn't sure what her parents might be thinking at the moment but at least she'd shown a spark of usefulness to them as well. If one counted baiting in a shark as useful?

Oh well, time would tell what happened with Ailani. Right now he didn't want to think too terribly hard on it. Instead he just wanted to concentrate on the here and now and enjoy the training they were doing together. It would aid them both with getting stronger even if Ailani decided on a different path down the road. Looking ahead once more he continued to lead the way, making sure that the laps weren't too fast that Ailani couldn't keep up.

He didn't want her quitting after all. It was slower then he might like but he didn't mind pacing himself if it helped her out.
