Zylah saw the slight nod of Charlotte's head to answer her question. It was followed almost immediately bully the soft rumble of her stomach which caused a faint red color to fill her cheeks. It wasn't a pleasant fact, but Zylah didn't seem to view her any differently, and she wouldn't. There was no reason. No reason to hold on the past... no need to blame someone for actions that were not entirely within their control. Easier said than done, considering as much as she pretended she wasn't the least bit phased by her past, the reaction ahe'd has moments ago proved otherwise. However, in this instant, it was different. For starters, she didn't even have the full story and she wasn't about to drag it out of her. Least of all with Luina in the room. Zylah couldn't quite imagine she'd want to tell Luina anymore than she'd been willing to let to her... Or maybe she'd rather tell Luina. It was hard to say... Charlotte's and her had a complicated relationship so to speak. Up until this point, Charlotte seemed to usually avoid Zylah at all costs... Except for that times she had rushed into help protect her from the grim, but that didn't necessarily have any reason to do with her. Charlotte loved a fight, after all. So they had gone from total avoidance to the faunus drugged and half asleep on her lap. Complicated was a good choice. Then again, all of her relationships here were complicated because they were full of lies, secrets and a mess of confusing feelings. She wasn't here to make friends. So why did she care if Charlotte hated her or not? Why did she want to make Luina laugh after seeing her so upset? Why did she feel... guilty? Is that what that was?

It was Charlotte's daze comment about how broken things were pretty that drew her out of her thoughts. Plopping her chin back into her hand she tilted her head to the side slightly as she gazed down at the girl. By the look on her face that comment had escaped her lips without full permission. Granted, in her loopy state she was certain that was not the first and even more so that it wasn't going to be the last. "What sort of broken things do you think are pretty, Char?" She questioned, cerulean orbs never leaving those sienna orbs of hers. It was an interesting color, and more so, it was interesting to watch all these different emotions play over a face that was usually so blank, so carefully guarded. Charlotte didn't have quite as much control over her actions or her expressions in this state and maybe Zylah should have felt guilty for taking advantage of it, but those truly were not her intentions. The petite, white-haired girl was no stranger to taking advantage of people, using them. She'd done it before and would do it again. This was different though. It was just pure curiosity driving her emotions. That, and the wary thought that things might just go back to the way they used to be when the medication wore off.

Zylah looked up from Charlotte towards Luina just in time to see her reaction to her teasing. Zylah's smirked, her eyes lighting up mischievously as she took in the red cheeks before quickly attempting to brush the comment off. She did laugh though, and that was something. It had been her goal after all. "Are you sure? Seems pretty persistent whoever it is." She looked rather satisfied with herself, but didn't take it any further, for now at least. Then there was Charlotte's question, returning her gaze to the faunus still using her for a pillow, she seemed to mull over the best way to explain such a thing to her. "Boyfriend... girlfriend... no space... it would imply that they were together, romantically involved I mean." She explained, examining her expression to make sure she actually understood. Then there was the comment about the punch, Luina admitting the caller might deserve one. "On it, Cap!" She said with a signature Zylah smirk. It was often the way the girl responded to her orders. However, Charlotte had an objection and she couldn't help but let out a small laugh, smirking down at her. The faunus looked genuinely concerned. "Later then. After my pillow duties are over."

Noting the look of discern in Luina's face as she went on to explain about her sister, Zylah frowned. Honestly, she wasn't sure what sure of comfort or advice to offer in that situation. She had never had siblings and her parents hadn't exactly played their roll well. The closest she'd had was the faunus boy that used to come visit her in her cage, but in the end... even he had betrayed her. Maimed her, taken away her sight, and took the already shattered remains of her heart and burnt them to ash. So family problems weren't her forte... and as much as she knew she shouldn't care, a part of her couldn't help it. Luina had put her life on the line for her, saved her even. That was something not a single soul had ever done for her. No one had ever been willing to sacrifice even the smallest bit of anything for her, but her captain had been ready to defend her with her life. That was something that would stick with Zylah. Something she couldn't forget. Something that brought forth a whole new wave of confusing thoughts and feelings. All strange and foriegn to her. As if things weren't complicated enough. Sighing softly and brushing the thoughts aside for the time being, she patted the spot on the other side of her for Luina to sit. "Wanna vent?" She asked as she invited the girl over. Really it was Charlotte's ed and likely not Zylah's place to invite others to sit on it, but that wasn't about to stop Zylah. Nothing ever did. "Or we could just snack each other with pillows until we all fill better?" She suggested, a devilish smirk lighting up her face.

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]
Charlotte stretched a little. A tiny little groan forcing its way out of her mouth as both her arms went either side of Zylah. Her ‘pillow’. Though she was now instinctively answering things as she wanted to pass out. ”Lots of things… they are more unique..” Her words started to drift off even more though she let herself relax. Her mind was still at least partly active.

A soft smile hit her face as what a boyfriend or girlfriend was was explained. ”So i shouldn't call you both girlfriends? .. saw someone with twelve girlfriends. She was weird. At this stage she let her eyes flicker shut. Though she still heard lunia’s words. ”Maybe a family member has died and she wants to inform you? Families do that right? Charlotte's movements had slowed even her words themselves where getting slower. Softly breathing in. Then out. Then in… then out… then in… then …

The room went silent to charlotte.

’Targets. Victims. Warriors. Cattle. Food was the words charlotte heard echo in her head. In a voice that wasnt her own. She wasn't even sure where she was. It was jet black.

Soft breathing. Relaxed. Other people… Other people. Then started to echos inside charlotte mind. And it took her a second but she bolted upright and blinked. Looking around before breathing out. Her heart was beating half a dozen faster than normal and the look of panic that had seeped into her face before she got her neautral face back was evident. It had only been a few seconds but she was awake. Mainly as fear hit her system. ”I.. What did i miss?” She mumbled. Seemingly a lot shyer tone than normal. And saddly having missed the comment about pillow fighting as well.So she asked a simple question next. What is a normal family like? Well simple in terms of it being said.

Lunia Alexandria Yatomura
"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

User Image

- - - -

Lunia chuckled, she was always glad to have Zylah around, she always seemed pretty happy and relaxed around them - even making others around go from being sad to in a good mood. She looked at the space beside Zylah where she patted it to usher her over and didn't want to seem rude, so stood up, and walked over to sit very closely beside her other two teammates. Lunia sighed a little bit, and shook her head, "Nah, she's just your typical older sister in the military who thinks she knows everything.." she said, putting on a smile when inside she felt a little disappointed in herself, as always.

Listening to Charlotte, Lunia let out a melodic chuckle as she looked down at the scorpion girl. "Twelve girflriends? my my, I don't know how she managed them all!" she said, laughing aloud now. This was soon cut short however, by Charlottes next statement about a family member dying.

Lunia instantly felt a huge pain rip through her chest, it was like someone had just stabbed her. She instantly stopped laughing and smiling and her insides were just crumbling at that statement. They didn't know about Keaton, it wasn't Charlottes fault she hit Lunias biggest nerve, but she didn't know how to react, she didn't know what to say.

Standing up straight extremely quickly, she held onto her chest. She became panicked, and looked around for something to distract her from the pain she was experiencing, something to stop the tears about to roll down her cheeks. "Please excuse me!! I just have to go to the bathroom!!" she said, a lot more louder than necessary - probably indicating that something was wrong. Lunia gripped the locket that was attached to the chain around her neck and almost ran to the bathroom and shut the door behind her, locking it.

Placing her back against the door, Lunia slunk down it into a sitting position as she hugged her knees with her arms, placing her head in between as she breathed as slowly and heavily as she could. "Just breathe... just breathe..." she muttered to herself, feeling embarrassed at what had just happened yet unable to control these feelings. She had to tell the team about her past, in order to stop this from happening again.

Everything then seemed to happen rather quickly. What had been a rather light and care-free conversation became exactly the opposite. The teasing and banter were completely lost to the events that occurred next. The laughter stopped, smiles were wiped off places. Luins had only just taken a spot beside her but just as quickly as she sat she had bolt upright again. There was a moment of silence that Zylah couldn't muster up much more than a wide-eyed stare. The blue-haired captain expressed that she was simply taking a bathroom break, but even though her face was hidden from few, the petite little huntress sitting cross legged on the bed wasn't completely fooled. Her actions were to stiff and rigid, like she was only just managing to reign in the shaking. Her voice was louder and sharper than what was necessary and more so than what was normal for their captain. Blue eyes followed her form as she disappeared into the bathroom, blinking at the thud of the wooden door and the click of the lock that followed. There was a moment of stunned silence when Zylah couldn't figure out what she was supposed to do. She was good with laughter, joking, cheering people up. Pure, true, comfort was something she lacked experience. Where did she start? Did she go knock on the door or wait for her to come back? Did she even say anything or pretend she hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary?

After a moment Zylah looked down to Charlotte. Considering the lack of experience the faunus had shown in other such subjects, she wasn't even sure if Charlotte would know what to do either... but maybe they could figure it out together. However, sometime while Luina had retreated to the bathroom, the dark haired girl had fallen victim to slumber. Once again all she could do was stare. She looked peaceful, breathing slow and even. It was almost quiet enough she could imagine the steady rhythmic beating of her heart in her chest. It was strange seeing her so peaceful. Usually, when she wasn't doped up on pain medication at least, she was much more guarded. It only lasted a moment, and just like that the image was shattered. In but a moment the peaceful expression was conquered by fear. Her expression was contored with pain, twisted with panic. Having been leaning over the sleeping girl and not expecting her to bolt up so quickly, Zylah was met with with a headbutt as their foreheads cracked together. Wincing slightly a pained hiss of air broke through her lips as she quickly retreated back a bit to avoid any further injury to either of them.

It took herself a moment to collect her thoughts, the blunt hit to her forehead clouding her thoughts a bit. Once she was able to think clearly, her gaze locked on Charlotte. There were remnants of the lingering nightmare twisting her expression, but also confusion. Yet another thing Zylah could relate to. Slipping into the abyss of her own mind, tortured and tormented by memories that haunted her very soul, to be thrown out of slumber in a gust of panic only be consumed by confusion... not actually knowing where she was those first few moments. She reached out slowly, her motions much more cautious and reserve than the normally were. "Its okay, Char. You're safe." She murmured softly in her honey silken voice, tentatively placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. At her question to what she had missed, Zylah blinked several times trying to determine just how to explain what had just happened. It had all happened so quickly, almost simultaneously, that it was a bit of a blur. "Well... um..." She started, cerulean gaze darting towards the door. "I think she's upset."

Slowly sliding off the mattress, tin ut fit thudding softly against the floor, she looked between Charlotte and the bathroom door for a moment as if she wasn't entirely sure what to do. The hesitation didn't last long before she reached out and clasped Charlotte's hand in her own. Her movements were less cautious, more like her usual self, as she gently tugged the girl along behind her. At Charlotte's next question she gave a slight shrug, looking over her shoulder at the girl. Her hand was unrelenting on Charlotte's, gentle but firm as she pulled her along. "I wouldn't know." How could she have? Her parents had been far from normal. Coming to a stop in front of the door she gave a short rhythmic rap on the door before waiting for a response. "Are you okay?" To prove that she wasn't going to give up easily, she made a point of plopping down on the ground, sitting cross legged in front of the door. By the shadow coming from the crack between the door and the floor she could assume their dispirited captain was sitting on the other side. "Come on, Lu... how daft do you think I am?" She questioned, voice light and teasing as she knocked once more. "Either you can open up or I'll just be forced to find my way in... and I'm not sure the headmaster would approve of the damage."[/b] She teased again, her signature smirk finding it's way back to her lips.

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]
Charlotte blinked as she noticed the captain was missing... Her eyes flickering to zylah as only confusion filled them. Her mouth opening a little bit to try and mutter a sorry for something she didn't even understand. Though no words came out. She also was sure there was a small stinging pain in her forehead. Had she hit something as she woke? Her right hand drifted up to rub her forhead as she tried to think what had happened. Then came a hand touching her. Her entire body tensed and she flicked her attention towards the one now speaking.

It took her a second for Charlotte to even recognise zylah but the woman said she was safe. That made her feel a little better. Even if what that made charlotte wonder what she was safe from? Though the admission from zylah that lunia was upset made char blink. ”Wha.. Why? Though it wasn't long before zylah stood up and took her hand A slight blush hitting her cheeks before she was pulled to her feet.

Charlotte posed little resistance Though she kept er hand itself open. Not clasping around zylahs like a normal person would when holding hands. Though the short knock on the bathroom door followed by ploping down caused charlotte to also ‘plop’ down. Mainly as her hand was still being held. A light tone slipping from charlotte. ”I am sorry if i said something.. Please dont break the door zylah… ” She said. Though if she was honest with herself she was still exhausted. The painkillers where still in her system. Heck the being woken by the dream didn't help anything.

Lunia Alexandria Yatomura
"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

User Image

- - - -

Lunia sat against the door, cuddling her legs as she brought them to her chest. She sat in silence for what seemed like hours, but it had only been minutes. Listening to the other two teammates at the door, she smirked a little at Zylahs comment, and believed that she would force her way in. Then she heard Charlotte apologise for something she didn't even have to, Lunia felt a little shame and disappointment that after so many years she still couldn't stop the panic happening whenever she thought about the day Keaton died.

"Ok... one sec.." she said, sniffing as she walked to the sink and quickly splashed her face with some cold water to remove the tear stains and just give her some more vitality for what was to come next. Lunia approached the door and held the handle for a brief moment, unsure if going out now and explaining was the right thing to do.. was she ready for this?

Taking a deep breath, Lunia turned the handle and opened the door slowly, a little bit of a sad expression on her face. "I'm sorry about that, I just- whenever I think about things, the panic just took over.." she said, her eyes opening a bit widely as she would now have to explain something.

"My Father is Shin Yatomura, most famous and known for his past in dust trades and..." she said, trailing off at the end as she wasn't sure how to approach the next subject. "He, he was the one that gave the ok to experiments.. legal ones at least..." she said, giving a look to Charlotte as you could see the apology in her eyes. Lunia shook her head, "He never meant for anyone to be hurt, he thought that the military were making better soldiers to fight for our world, not hurt people.. my Uncle was working with the tribe and other members of the family, using my Fathers money to fund these things that tortured people.. killed them..".

Lunia gulped, too many thoughts rushing through her mind. "When we- my Father tried to stop them, my Uncle had other plans... and, my brother died fight them off when they tried to take me to become one.." she said, holding her locket tightly as she walked over to the family picture. "It's civil war between two sides of the family... our name either disgusts people or scares people beyond belief.." she said, "Which is why I don't tell people my name first.. because I'm not this monster that the news makes me out to be. I just want them to know me for me, just like Keaton, my brother, should have had the chance to!" she said, becoming more angry as she hit her fist off of her desk.

Lunia was furious, every time she thought about the conflict between her family, she was so angry at the world. Her brother should never had died, her father knew she couldn't keep her secret to herself, her sister was the golden child who rubbed in her success. Her mind was going crazy, she almost forgot anyone else was in the room. All of a sudden, everything went clear again and she realised that she had just explained too much too fast. "I just... I just want to make everyone proud..." she said, a large sigh trailing off at the end as she stared at the wall behind her desk, not wanting to give any eye contact to either Zylah or Charlotte.

At Charlotte's comment about the door, Zylah rose her hands in a mock surrender and in turn, pulled Charlotte's hand up with hers. It was hard to say wheather she'd merely forgotten to let go or simply enjoyed the feeling. "Okay, okay. I won't." She agreed, but the devilish grin and the michivious twinkle in her eye gave her away. Zylah was not above destruction or vandalism but at this time it would before a good cause, if it even came down to that. Did it make her a horrible person if she enjoyed the process? However, before she'd even had the time to think about exactly how she'd open the door, Luina answered on the other side. It wasn't long after that she opened it and stepped out. Leaping to her feet with that uncanny amount of grace she always held she tugged Charlotte a long with her, sitting back on the faunus's bed without a second thought.

Cerulean orbs followed their blue-haired captain as she meandered across the room, explaining her reaction. Only it seemed her explanation required an explanation of it's own. Zylah was silent, listening to the words leaving the girl's mouth while almost subconsciously still hanging onto the holding into the hand of the poor faunus she'd just dragged back and forth across the room. Charlotte hadn't quite accepted her hand, leaving her fingers straight rather than curling them around, but that didn't deter Zylah in the slightest. It was almost like she didn't notice at all, and perhaps she didn't. She was no expert on hand holding or anything if the sort. Yet another thing she had missed out on. Still, maybe it was a good thing Zylah had latched onto her and refused to let go. Hearing the truth about Luina's family was a shock for Zylah, but it would be so much more for Charlotte and there was no saying how she would react.

It was a lot to take in and at first all Zylah could do was blink as her eyes darted from Luina to Charlotte and back again. Her mind was racing, several different thought processes on a collision course, bound to wreck havoc on the train wreck her brain had become. Zylah didn't know much of the specifics of Charlotte's past, but over the time they'd spent together she had picked up on a few things. She recognized the look in her eyes and all the other warning signs. She knew whatever Charlotte had been through it must have been horrible. She had picked up bits and pieces of the experiments, but now here she was listening to Luina explain that her father was responsible for the legalization of such experiments. Not to mention her uncle who was affiliated with the tribe. The tribe who was also responsible for such tortures... as a member of the Tribe... didn't that mean she was just as equally responsible.

The look on Luina's face could be described as nothing short of guilt... remorse... but was she really the one who should be consumed by such feelings? The girl had played no real part in this. She didn't have any control over the action of her parents, the same way Zylah hadn't had the slightest control over her own parents. However, Luina had acted out against them. Her brother had died trying to do just that... what had she done? She'd ended up in exactly the same position her parents had been, doing the same horrid things they had done, the things she'd use to hate. In reality, Zylah was nmblind to it all. She'd still been a child when she had wondered her way into the Tribe. Many of her assignments she'd done without much thought or question. It was a way to survive and she'd become numb to the death, the blood, and the pain. She didn't know how to live. She didn't know where to go. She didn't know what to do... they had taken her in and given her a home... or at least a place to sleep and food in her starving stomach.

Zylah hadn't joined the Tribe because she hated faunus. She didn't hate the. Any more or less than she hated humans. She had seen the evil in both races. She had inflicted pain and death equally upon both. Thus... she hadn't joined out of hatred, but rather necessity. However. She had never once regretted that decision. She'd never thought twice about any of the lives she had taken. So why did she feel so sick to her stomach now? What was that strange feeling constricting her chest. Why was it so very hard to breathe? Stomach churning uncomfortably, heart thudding rapidly against her rib cage, her breaths coming short and raspy. Guilt... that's what it was, and it was a horrible feeling... one she wasn't used to. She felt like it was digging away at her insides, carving her hollow and feasting on her from the inside out. The more she looked at Charlotte, the worse the feeling got. Rising and growing until it was fire within her veins, burning her alive. She felt like she might just spontaneously combust. It was all too much.

Why? Why did she feel this way? She knew the answer to the question even if she didn't want to admit it. She cared for them both on some level or another. As much as she had tried to hold back, to keep her past a secret and her emotions at bay, she had failed. So.ehow they'd both managed to fond away to wriggle their way into her heart. Maybe it hadn't been as hard as she'd intended it to be. She had never been able to relate to a person the same way she could relate to Charlotte and she'd never had someone willing protect her and sacrifice for her like Luina had. Zylah had always been confident, sure of herself. Despite all the torment she'd been put through.. she had always been happy with herself. She felt exactly the opposite now. She had no idea what to do or what to say. The guilt was spiraling out if control turning into something far more toxic. She hated that she'd been a part of what happened to Charlotte... or what happened to Luina's brother. Even if she had played no real role I it... she was still affiliated with the people that had done it.

But... what was she supposed to do? She couldn't take back her past or her decision. She couldn't change the things she'd done. But she couldn't apologize either. Apologizing meant telling the truth and the truth meant that not only would she get kicked out of Beacon, that Luina and Charlotte would hate her. She couldn't stand the idea of losing them... she couldn't lose the only real home she'd ever had. She had been silent far too long, but she was stuck on the verge of a panic attack and was no closer to an outcome than she had been before. There was no right answer, no easy solution, no quick fix. Every outcome but silence ended in despair but what would silence bring? Lies and deceit that would eventually unravel and explode around her. Probably... but she couldn't tell the truth... not yet. Even if she were ready to face the consequences... no was not the time.

Shaking her head slowly to clear it, pale locks tumbling about her shoulder, she looked up to her two teammates. Her expression, as always, was calm and unreadable, but there was a strange look in her eyes... pain, panic, uncertainty. She hadn't realized how tightly she h as d been grasping Charlotte's hand until then and released her from her group with a mumbled apologized. "No one should he held accountable for the actions of their parents." She stated in a voice that was much softer and sincere than usual. This was a lesson she knew better than anyone... after all, she had suffered u thinkable torture on behalf of her parents mistakes. The statement was meant for both of them, to help relieve Luina's guilt and hopefully subdue sny of the anger Charlotte might feel towards Luina for things that were out of her control. It wasn't much, but it was all she could manage at the moment.

[ P O S T ]

Charlotte rolled her eyes as her hand was pulled up when zylah mocked surrender. A slight smile on her lips though it instantly fell away to a more neutral expression as lunia walked out of the bathroom. Zylahs hand in hers still was slightly confusing. Her left eye was also slightly closed due to her tiredness … and just waking up. She even let out a small noise of urgh the instant zylah. And by extension herself. Where on the move again. Standing and walking back towards charlotte’s ‘adobe’

It was soon after that that lunia started confessing what her father was. Though charlotte quickly replied after the surname was given. Okay? I have no idea who that is? She admitted to them both. Cause despite being a fanus. She had no issues with the dust trade herself. No issues with anyone but the ones who experimented on her… But of course that was not the end of it…

Charlotte was silent. No expression on her face. Her eyes stone dead. No sparkle Nothing. She was barely breathing either.

Charlotte took about a minute to herself. Trying to collect any semblance of thought she had. Her hand hurting a little as it was squeezed. But she .. couldn’t remember what from. Where was she again?... Oh .. that's right … Her dorm. Where there was Zylah.. And … And… Lunia… The daughter of the man who gave the go ahead on her tail.. On her torture.. On her pain… On.. Everything…

Her eyes steeled as she turned to look at lunia. Her body instinctively moving in between zylah and lunia as he aura kicked into activation. Her tail shot up to be next to her ready to strike if the blue haired girl got to close. Her hands up in a brawling method. One in front of the other. Though her feet were a little off. Making a throw rather easy. Gladly she didn't actively approach. Her entire body wanted to attack. Though one small iota of her brain was screaming no. Protect.

”You .. let.. You wanted.. Me to … you .. worked with.. You.. ” Her words where broken. Though she moved one hand to her temple rather quickly. She had a massive headache. Though she didn't let that distract her from her goal. Of .. something. Things where getting hard and harder to focus on in the world. Though the blue hair was nice and contrasting so it wasn't that hard. Even if her body was now swaying ever so slightly

Lunia Alexandria Yatomura
"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

Lunia was disappointed in herself, she didn't want the secret of who she was to come out like it had, but she couldn't change that now. The silence in the room was utterly terrifying, Lunia could feel her skin crawl as she just waited for someone to say something. Zylah finally spoke, and her words were so kind towards Lunia, but she shook her head and wiped her right eye as a tear began to form, "I wish it was that way, but I have suffered consequences because of who my parents are.. consequences that will last for my entire life.." she said, gripping the locket around her neck again briefly as she then let it go.

Upon hearing that Charlotte wasn't aware of who her father was, she sighed a little, more relieved to hear it than anything - she would remember never to point him out to Charlotte. Lunia heard something moving from behind her and knew exactly what it was, she turned around and stood up straight, facing Charlotte. Lunia looked sad, Charlotte hadn't reacted how she had wanted her too, she thought she would know that Lunia didn't want any of this to happen to her. "I understand how you feel Charlotte, but I won't let you kill me, not now while I still have to live for my brother.." she said, moving a little bit forward to show she would fight if needed.

Lunia didn't want to do this, she watched Charlotte and could tell that she was also having an inner conflict. "You don't have to do this, Charlotte. I want to make my Uncle and the rest of the Tribe pay for what they did to all those people, to Keaton... to you.." she said, stepping forward again so that she was very close to her. Lunia inside knew that Charlotte wouldn't attack her, something in her knew that Charlotte wanted to protect Lunia, just as she wanted to protect Charlotte.

Her words had fallen on deaf ears. Charlotte was too far gone to acknowledge them, let alone asses the meaning. While Luina might have heard them, they did not process the weight she had intended them to. She noted the pained look on Luina's face and she wanted to do something, say something... she knew what it was like to suffer in irrevocable ways due to the decisions of parents for things that were completely beyond her control. As much as she might have wanted to say just that, she couldn't. It would give away too much. So many secrets that would do nothing but rip her and this team to shreds. Seeing the way Charlotte was reacting to this... she wasn't sure she could ever come clean... even if she decided that she wanted to. How would she understand? How would either of them? Learning she was a part of the Tribe who apparently had been involved in the torturous experiments inflicted upon her... possibly part of the reason Luina's brother had to fight and pay with his life? How would either of them understand? How would either of them forgive her?

It would matter what awful things had happened to lead her to the tribe or that she was so young when she found them. It wouldn't matter that she had been kept in the dark not ever knowing the true horrors the Tribe was inflicted. She acted blindly. Played her role without asking questions. It had been the only option she'd been left with and while she might have grown numb to things such as death... she was not numb to this. There was still that guilt, eating away at her insides. It mingled and mixed with the fear. Feat of the truth. Fear of what would happen if it came to light. Fear of losing too people that had somehow managed to work their way past her defenses and into her heart.

Zylah's eyes were locked on Charlotte's, waiting for her reaction. The girl was silent, still, breaths hardly there with a dead look in her eyes. She was looked in the steely stare for what seemed like ages, not so much as twitching. Then, faster than Zylah could even blink, the faunus was up and in her feet, moving in front of Zylah and between her and Luina. The girl's tail flicked fast as lightning, up and ready to strike of she needed too. Her words were broken, never forming a coherent thought but the blanks were easy enough to fill in. She was angry, upset, ready to attack, all justified. Zylah was frozen in place on the mattress, watching as the only friends she'd ever had came face to face, so dangerously close. For one usually so carefree, her gaze was clouded with anxiety. Charlotte hadn't attacked yet and usually it was safe to say that if she hadn't done it yet then you were probably safe. She didn't hesitate... however. She was taking the defensive and clearly was not in the right state of mind. Between the drugs and the massive blow she'd just received with that information... how could she be? Things could take a drastic turn in but a moment if Lyina didn't trade carefully.

As Luina spoke, Zylah's attention was momentarily drawn to her. She watched the girl steal forward, eyes widening in panic. "Lu, don't." She stated, voice urgent but hushed. She didn't want to make anything worse by shouting. However, she wasn't heading her warning. Luina had known Charlotte longer than Zylah and she knew the captain must believe that Char wouldn't actually hurt her, but Zylah wasn't so sure. She'd been pushed over the edge, her brain was not functioning clearly... it didn't have the capacity to assess the situation and realize that Luina wasn't trying to pose a threat. Right now, that's all she could see. Danger. Even in a cognitive state, the girl had flinched away from Zylah's ever touch until she realized it was safe. Right her, right now, she must have felt the farthest thing from safe. There was something holding her back from attacking, but there was no guarantee it would last... especially if she were pushes.

"Luina, really. Stop." She repeated as the girl took another step forward. Zylah was afraid of what would happen if she. Loses the distance. She couldn't stand by and watch them fight but she couldn fight them herself wither. She couldn't pick sides. She couldn't abandon one over the other. Slowly slipping off the bed, she moved cautiously, not wanting to startle Charlotte. Slipping easily under her arm with her small stature, she came to stand between the two of them. She looked first at Charlotte, looking for the sparkle that was lost to those amber eyes. Keeping herself carefully between them, she glanced at Luina out if the corner of your eye. "I know you're only trying to help... but don't push her. Not when she's like this." She said softly all the while keeping herself carefully between them. If it did come to a fight, maybe they would think twice seeing her in the middle. If not, well, at least she could create a significant distraction before they were able to go at each other.

Charlotte was silent as Lunia spoke about understanding how she felt. Her mind was still foggy. Foggy with pain, memories and especially foggy due to the painkillers. Though that could of also have been the mind trying to process all of what had been said. Everything. From lunias words to zylahs to her own. She was sure she was now feeling the world spin. Even her own pulse.. That was rather fast.

Lunias words about not doing it fell on somewhat deaf ears. Only twitching as she got right to the end. Though if that was from the movement of zylah or lunia that was another question. It took her a few seconds to even move her eyes towards Zylah. And slowly she managed to get her thoughts into a order. Least a order to herself.

”You Understand? I mean of course you understand. You are the rhai who did yr arbrofion. Of course you understand! You want to make pay? Murder All ‘ Family’ Tribe patsies. Ive met tribe. Racist but better.. Than fanus… Dont hide… behind lies on what… are.. You Want to make ALL Proud. Includes .. Them.” Charlotte was trying her hardest though she had given up with her guarding hands and moved them both to her temples trying to stop the impending headache. Though her tail was ready to strike. Even dripping a bit of its dual poison it was so known for. ”You… Your. Same.. Made me .. “ She went quiet.

What had they made her? A monster? A genius? A insane person? A pet? All of it?

Why was it getting hard to think again. Why was the thumping getting louder. The voice to not attack was getting even louder. What was going on? Why did even having an aggressive stance towards lunia hurt. Hurt enough to override the painkillers. Hurt enough to trigger flashes of images. Flashes of images of Lunia. Then pain. Then more flashes. Then a scream. Was it charlottes? She couldn't tell any more.

Back in the normal world she was whimpering. Her tail was still up though it was more swaying with each breath. Poised to strike though not striking towards anyone.

"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

Lunia looked at Zylah, she knew that what she was doing wasn't necessarily right, but who knew what the right move was when it came to Charlotte? She was messed up beyond belief, and Lunia needed her to know that she had no part in it and neither did her family, she would destroy anyone that was a threat to her family. "Zylah, she's not going to hurt me..." she said, looking at Charlotte again who was clearly having an internal struggle with something.

She listened to Charlottes words, none of them made sense, she couldn't even attempt to make sense of them. Looking at the tail, it was still ready to attack at any moment, making her gulp as she reached her hand out to her from a distance. "Charlotte, please.. let me help you, I'm here to protect you - you know that deep down.." she said, trying to force a smile as she glared at her friend.

She always had that look about her, that look of otherness...

"You don't know that, Lu." She stated, her words coming out a bit louder than she intended. She wasn't shouting, and she wasn't angry. Rather she sounded just a tad bit harsh in her urgency. That desperate need inside her to keep both of them save... and in this moment, she had to keep them safe from each other. She felt small, insignificant... a child caught in the middle of something far beyond her grasp. She knew what could happen when someone was pushed over the edge. She'd seen it, been there herself even. As much as they both loved Charlotte, she'd been tossed over the edge and the already unpredictable girl had become a ticking time bomb. Zylah knew that Charlotte would never intentionally hurt Luina. She knew the pain that causing injury to such a dear friend would put her through, but there was always that chance... She had seen it time and time again. Not just with faunus but humans as well. When someone felt trapped, back into a corner. When they were so far past gone their brain was no longer functioning properly, a protective and defensive instinct kicked in. One that was sometimes blind to the thing sand people around them. Even loved ones. "She would never hurt you on purpose... but she's not in her right state of mind right now. That was... a lot for her to take in." Her voice was softer now, more if a desperate plea than anything else.

There was still that fear that they would come to blows. If Charlotte attacked, Luina would have to defend, but where did that leave Zylah? What was she to do? Finally Charlotte was speaking. It was kept broken than before, but no less confusing. On the verge of hysteria, her words came much too quickly, slipping in and out of a language Zylah could not understand. It was hard to piece it all together, too make sense of it all. One thing stood out among the rest. She was hurt... she felt betrayed. However, some of that initial anger seemed to have faded. It wasn't a moment later that Luina reached her arm past her, reaching for Charlotte. The tiny huntress sighed, before stepping back slightly. This didn't involve her... well it did, she was more twisted up into this story than either of them knew, but she could reveal that. Not now. It seemed relatively safe, if Charlotte was going to hurt Luina... she probably would have done it by now. So she dropped her gaze, hanging her head so that her blonde locks hid the anxiety written out in her expression, and listened silently. Silent was such a strange thing to witness from Zylah. It was not a common occurrence.

What drew her out of the daze was Charlotte's whimpering. Her tail was still poised, ready to attack at a moment's notice, but she looked nothing more than broken. It was expression she recognized. One she used to wear. One that lay hidden far beneath the bubbly exterior. Zylah couldn't help herself. Maybe she should have thought twice about it, but when did she ever do that? She didn't have the same boundaries that normal people did and things like personal space didn't occur to her. She remembered a time... years ago when she'd been so lost, so broken. Locked in a cage in too much pain to move. She remembered that hand, so soft and gentle on her own. Just like everyone always did, he too had betrayed her. Maimed her and left her too die... but in that moment, that gentle touch had meant the world. In a matter of moments she had closed the distance between her and Charlotte, flinging her tiny arms around the girl's waist. At least if Charlotte did decide to attack, it would be her and not Luina. Without her heels that she normally wore, the size difference was enough that Zylah's head was only just resting upon her shoulder. "You're okay... it's going to be okay." She murmured softly. Those were comforting words, right?

Charlotte Aoyama

[ P O S T ]

Charlotte was quiet for a little bt. As the two others seemed to speak. Her eyes still shut with her temples being gently rubbed wit her own hands. Though she was losing herself into her own mind. Things where tumbling around. Screaming. She was pretty sure there was a knife somewhere in the fog that surrounded her. Heck she even felt nauseous from the moment. She felt sick. Sick to the very core. She was pretty sure however she knew what the room she was in was. It was a dark room with one light. One door. One chair… two tables full of tools. And the chair had many many straps. There was a small Tv tied to a arm that came down to cover the face of the occupant. And blood. Blood covering chunks of the chair. Straps and even the Tv screen. Though the room itself was familiar. It felt safe. Safe as it was hers. Her territory. Her…

She snapped into reality as a small hand touched her. Her stinnger shot towards the arm at max speed only stopping a few Centimeters away from the target. The tail itself shaking a little as it seemed to be held by a unknown source. It even seemed to be struggling to try to get closer. Charlotte's eyes flickered opened towards Lunia almost in a surprised way. Though the voice in her brain was a lot louder. Almost screaming. ”Why… Was her simple response. The images of lunia flashing through her mind. For a few seconds. Least before she felt something strange hitting her.

The feeling of a person having their hands on her hips was confusing. What was she supposed to do. Attack? Pat? Sting and paralyze to keep her there? It did feel kinda nice after all. The warmth… The warmth.. Why was she feeling dizzy again? Charlotte felt so weak. So weak. The contradicting voices were shouting to protect and defend. Kill and befriend. She was still hurting inside though.

”What… are you.. doing…” The faunus forced out her mouth. Her tail returning behind her uselessly. She couldn't bring herself to attack either of the women. No matter how much she craved to. One she couldn’t as the voice demanded to not. The other wasn't hostile She honestly didn't know how to react. And this showed in her poor face. She was hurting. Confused. Scared. Lonely. Wanting. Happy? Was that a emotion that was allowed? In pain. And confuzzled. ”What.. Do..”

"I'll make you all proud of me one day.."

Lunia looked at the ground as she listened to Zylah, she was right, Lunia didn't know what Charlotte was going to do, in actual fact, she didn't know anyone really. She looked back up at Zylah and nodded slowly as she stepped backwards, retreating her arm that she had previously reached out. She would respect her teammates wishes and could tell just in her voice that she needed Lunia to listen. Lunia listened to Charlotte and watched, feeling a little uncomfortable at how robotic she now seemed, she was like a broken record, twitching and making noises that were really unsettling.

Lunia stood a little more ready for something to happen as Zylah brought Charlotte in for a hug, she listened to her attempt at comforting her and forced a small, comforting smile towards her. Lunia remained at a distance, she was the one who had caused this in the first place, but it was better Charlotte knew now, so she could make up her mind how this was going to play out.

Lunia also had a broken past, although her family seemed strong on the outside, she had a pretty messed up history. The only bright thing in her life was her brother, and he was taken away from her. She watched as Charlotte was evidently having an inner conflict, and took another step back as she sat on her bed, looking to the ground.

She was unsure what to do, she didn't understand Charlotte anymore. Lunia just wanted to tell her teammates about who she was, but it grew out of control even before she could stop it. She had always been made to feel disappointed with who she was, and Charlotte was making her feel no different. Lunia looked at her hands as if they weren't hers, as soon as people knew who she was she was looked at as a monster, a freak, a killer - and if anyone actually knew her, they would know that it wasn't in Lunias nature to be any of these things.
