Character Name: Cassadega Bright Team: Spectator (Game Host)
Most of her time was spent sitting at a table, checking her nail polish and occasionally her phone but now and again a username would flash across the screen and Cass would glance up and see either a round concluding or someone pushing forward.
None of the current batch seemed to be doing particularly well and she was ready to start picking at her chipping nail polish when a familiar name flashed across the screen. MastaRey.
"I know that username." Suddenly her interest was piqued.
Sitting up, she rested her chin on her knuckles as she watched him play and--
Fail, as it were.
Amused, Cass picked up her phone and typed a message to her favorite gamer.
[Text to Ali-Bear: if you need some post-loss steam release, call me]
The phone was slid into her back pocket when a team's victory flashed across the screen and the tablet on the table flashed to tell her what booth to make her way towards.
With a roll of her eyes, the tablet and clipboard was plucked up and she made her way over.
She reached Ciaran's booth, coming to lean against one of the panels separating them. "ChasinWaterfalls?"

Character Name: Nolan Ellwood Team: Spectator (Errand Boy)
Nolan had been looking for something to do over the summer, and while school was pretty much back in session already, they had heavily advertised needing volunteers for this Anthemusa event at his school and he had rushed to fill out the forms. Better than the usual school droll! And he got to get out of class for a bit! Win-win for him!
He had been assigned the Gladiators of the Gallows which sounded interesting, but not something he wanted to participate in exactly, so being able to help with the game was good enough for him.
As of right now he didn't have anything to do so he was just enjoying watching the entrants either succeed or fail. It made him feel a bit jealous however. Maybe he should be in there fighting? At least he was getting some training at Romano's.

Character Name: Alexa Dewey Team: Blue Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: ...
Okay, was there a better way to celebrate becoming an adult than video games? Alexa didn't think so. She was loving the whole con atmosphere anyway, like there was so much pretty stuff here! The big screens and bubbly host managed to grab her attention and draw her over, though, and before she knew it, she was sliding into a booth and slipping on some giant, fancy looking headset.
She squinted at the keyboard for a second. This was way more complicated than the stuff she usually played, that was for sure. No tapping or matching stuff here. Good thing it was just for fun!
She didn't usually do usernames, either, so on a whim she typed in CandyCutie and then chose the melee character. Whacking stuff with swords was always fun, right?
"Hi, guys!" she said to the team.

Character Name: Alexa Dewey Team: Blue Prompt #: 2 POINT TALLY: 10
The game was starting! It looked like there were a couple different paths. At the urging of her teammates, Alexa started guiding her character down the center one. It seemed like some of them were taking this pretty seriously. Okay, then.
Before long, she saw enemies starting to pop up. Good thing Mister Rudiarius had his fancy sword. She started to attack and dodge the best she could, and as she kept up the sword whacking, they started to die.
She giggled. This was pretty fun!

Character Name: Alexa Dewey Team: Blue Prompt #: 3 POINT TALLY: 13
Alexa just kept killing stuff and killing stuff. It started as a rush and slowly started fading out. She couldn't help but notice that there was a points tracker on the screen and it felt like she wasn't getting as many as she was supposed to. Wasn't she supposed to be attacking towers or something by now?
She tried looking around a little, but it was just more of the same. More little monsters that were getting in her way more than anything. At least watching them die was still pretty satisfying.

Character Name: Alexa Dewey Team: Blue Prompt #: 4 POINT TALLY: 11
Little monsters, little monsters, little monsters, nothing but little monsters. Alexa was starting to wonder how many of these guys she was gonna have to wade through when something else came down the path.
Someone else, actually. It was another player character. Alexa grinned.
In her moment of excitement, she forgot that they also had a sword. They also seemed to know how to use it, because practically before she could react they were just slashing up her character. From that point, Alexa got in maybe one hit back before she watched Rudiarius fall to the ground and die, just like all the monsters before him.
"Hey!" She said, pouting at her screen for a couple seconds before she slipped off her headphones and got up.
She hadn't been sure the game was gonna be her cup of tea, but it had actually been pretty fun. She hoped it went live soon, because she really wanted to try again now.

Character Name: Ciaran Cassidy Team: Blue Prompt #: Completed POINT TALLY: 35 points
Ciaran was in the process of putting blue bright hair in a bun when her username was called out by the eyecatching host. "That's me!" She beamed at the woman, looking her up and down with an appreciation. They had really done a good job of keeping people entertained.
"Come to ask if I cheated?" Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she looked at the tablet and clipboard. She didn't think they would, but she had been accused of worst.
"How's it going pretty lady?"

Character Name: Alrik ReyTeam: Fail Still pissed to high heavens that he would lose at such a basic game, Alrik had nearly made it out of the gaming area when his phone started to chirp in his back pocket. He had half a mind to ignore it, his pissy mood giving him the urge to snap at whoever dare message him while he was in a bad mood but he plucked it from his pocket anyways and flipped it on.
The message had his brows furrowing, cheeks flushing a dark red.
Wait...had Cass seen him fail?
Talk about mega-embarrassing.
Frowning, fingers punched into the keys of the phone as he responded back.
[To Cassie: I didn't even have time to warm up yet, that wasn't my best performance ok]

Character Name: Cassadega Bright Team: Spectator (Game Host)
Her phone buzzed in the back pocket of her shorts, but she ignored it to pay attention to the busty cutie sitting in the booth in front of her. "Can't cheat a game that's never been public until now," she replied, green lips splitting into a grin as she tapped some things on the tablet before turning it over so that it faced Ciaran with a form for her name, an email, and some other extra details.
"It's better now that I've found more appealing company," she said, teeth sliding across her lip to mess with the ring before she offered her the tablet. "Mind filling this out for me since you've won this round? It's for when we release more beta testing, if we go through with the acquisition and some other things." Her free hand waved about like she had an idea of what other things were but didn't know specifics.
Hopefully Ciaran wouldn't want more information because she probably wouldn't get it.
Once the tablet was handed off she fished out her phone and grinned a little brighter at the text.
[To Ali-Bear: Relax babe, I know how the game plays. I'm the host after all~ Off for some steam release is still on the table :*]

Character Name: Julianne Payne Team: Spectator (First Aid)
Julianne Payne was quickly finding herself bored with the day's events.
She'd volunteered to assist with a large convention one of the up-and-coming company's in Destiny City was hosting because it had sounded like a decent distraction at the time. She'd seen various conventions before on the news, how people came from all over to dress up as favorite characters or meet their idols - it was fun. A little more childish than she'd had preferred but as long as she entered in the capacity as a staff member helping out, she could always enjoy it from the sidelines, right? Just because she didn't have a favorite show or host didn't mean she couldn't share in strangers' enthusiasm for theirs.
Except... she'd been assigned to the gaming section of the event. Not exactly her choice of stations to be at, but a job was a job, right?
Fingers strummed against the table top she sat at as the older woman watched as boys and girls of varying ages all took their places behind computer screens. Folks were creating a line just to get in to play this strange video game that Jules had no idea about. She'd seen the scattered advertisements for it through the Exhibition Hall but remained in the dark as to how it was actually played or the storyline behind it. But people after people piled into a line, nearly crushing one another's personal space just to get a chance at a keyboard for it. As soon as they disappeared behind the wall set-up, her attention found itself straying elsewhere.
Every now and then she'd hear an angry outburst or someone tossing their headphones or mouse onto their table but for the most part, everyone seemed relatively.... healthy?
She guessed???
She supposed it was a good thing for her skills to go unused but at the same time, it certainly made the time drag by a lot, lot slower.

Character Name: Leon NohrenbergTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: Not yet! Did someone say "test new game?" Someone said "TEST NEW GAME!" Holy crap Leon was so excited. He loved cons and tended to lurk in their gaming rooms. He was lousy at fighting games, but he still loved cheering people on, shouting stuff like "ICE CAR!" and "DROP A BRIDGET ON THEM!" despite the fact that the first meme was cOLD and the second involved a character not in that particular series anymore. (Alas, poor Bridget. You really did fool everyone, didn't you?) Computer games he was a bit better at, though, so he signed up for this MOBA thing. He'd been plopped onto the Blue Team, which was fine and good. His hair was blue, he should be on the blue team. Right? Right. In any case, he logged into his station, put his headset on, and scanned the three character types in front of him. What, no mages? Boooooo! No fighting game was complete without a mage type. Still, that Velites character was marked as "ranged," so that had to be close enough. The game was still in beta, so hopefully there'd be a mage or two added to the final build. He selected Velites and waited for the next step. He really wanted to rant about the lack of mages in the meantime though. Was this game ALL melee fighters, even if the spear guy was supposedly ranged? What world did this take place in? What was the lore? He wanted to know the lore so bad. There had to be good lore or these guys wouldn't get his money. [WC: 263]

Character Name: Leon NohrenbergTeam: BLUE Prompt #: 2C POINT TALLY: 5 + 5 = 10! Leon got spat out into the arena, and the first thing he did was make Velites "dance" by walking around in a circle. "Controls aren't bad, guys!" he typed into the chat field. No one responded for a bit, and he felt a little mischievous, so he brought his rant into the game itself: "Needs more mages tho." Someone LOL'd, someone told him that was what Velites was for, and someone else said "let's just go down the paths and get this over with." He had a feeling that the third guy wasn't impressed with what he was seeing so far. In any case, he went down the right fork of three with one other guy. He discovered that, if he was good at anything, it was at hanging back and delivering targeted shots while his partner kept things from getting too close to him. The synergy made Leon wonder who was on the other side of the screen, and if he could look around and say "hey, thanks for guarding me so well!" In any case, 6 minions went down by his trusty spear, and he was super pumped. He typed a quick "Thanks dude!" into the chat and continued moving ahead. All he got in response was a "yw." Well, it was better than nothing, and not everyone bothered to type full words out like he did. Made some people look awfully terse, though. Onto the next stage! This game was pretty responsive. Not bad, not bad at all. [WC: 251]

Character Name: Accalia Cordovoa Team: Red Prompt #: 1 POINT TALLY: 0 Quote: Roll 1D4: Evens = Red Team 4Velites, whose spear marks them for the 'ranged' role. Considering Accalia had always been into these types of games, she just hadn't been able to participate in anything like this for quite some time. Having taken a break from her duties she decided there was enough for her to actually test this one out before having to be back. Moving her mouse through the options she looked at her options, Murmillo was the first option. She'd never really been one for tanks, which she figured was his all around end game she moved onto the next options. Rudiarius and Velites. Placing her other hand through her hair briefly she thought about the two roles and scrolled between the two and finally selected Velites for the ranged role.

Character Name: Accalia Cordovoa Team: Red Prompt #: 2 POINT TALLY: 11 Quote: You find yourself deposited into the arena, a classic three pronged stage with four other players. There's a chat function that's displayed but remains relatively empty, a few pings of various chatter and the screen is filled with various trees and rocks. After a quick discussion among your team, you split up down the various paths. 2C: IF YOU CHOSE VELITES Grab your 'partner' and proceed down the bottom path. Roll 1D6. 5-6: Your handy dandy spear and partner help you keep enemies at bay without risking too much damage to you. You take out 6 minions with it's range! Add +5 to your total. Proceed to prompt 3 The functions of the game seem easy enough and she quickly got the hang of it and with Velites moving down the path. The way the game moved and the colors and clear video play were astounding and to say that she was impressed was almost an understatement. If it was a virtual reality game it would definitely top most of the games out there, though any WoW player might object. She loved gaming systems, even if she didn't play very often anymore. It wasn't long before her and her party were surrounded and using the spear's range advantage easily took out 6 minions. It seemed almost too easy and that was a little concerning but overall not a deal-breaker. Pleased with how things were going she continued on with the prompts. Total WC so far: 250

Character Name: Accalia Cordovoa Team: Red Prompt #: 3 POINT TALLY: 13 Quote: Regardless of who you've chosen as your fighter and the fact that you know what the goal of the game is, to take the enemy base, you also know that you need to take out the most amount of enemies to rack up the most amount of points. As you trudge along your designated path, you can't help but scan the foliage in hopes of finding minions or enemy heroes as well as towers to disable. 3C: IF YOU CHOSE VELITES Continue down the path. Roll 1D6. 1-2: You find a handful of enemies instead of a tower. Between your ally and your ranged weapon, dispatching them is easy and lackluster. You move on, disappointed. Add +1 to your total.Proceed to prompt 4 As she continued through the game she hoped to come across a tower perhaps but instead was met with a handful of enemies. Easily enough they were dispatched and her and her counterpart continued onward through the designated pathway.
