Rob Banks

Saturdays were meant for leisure. After a hard week at work trying to right wrongs and triumph over the large corporations by standing up for the little man (or rather, make money off of doing all of these things), he'd allowed himself a day to relax. To kick off his shoes and rest his weary feet on the coffee table as Netflix droned on about some documentary he'd found about nurses who'd been secretly serial killers without any of their hospitals knowing it.

Maybe he'd order pizza later. Yeah. Maybe he'd spoil himself a little bit, pizza and a soda, since the alternative beverage of choice was still off the table, as far as options went.

His body was in the process of melding itself with the couch when his discarded phone let out a soft ding. Frowning, he reluctantly retrieved the device and slid the screen on. Hazel eyes widened slightly at noting the recipient's name, thumb moving swiftly to click the icon and read the message.

Oh dear.

His gaze went back to the television for a moment, a silent minute of mourning for what was supposed to be a lazy day at home. But friendship called (apparently in the form of teenage misdemeanors) and it meant putting back on his suit and tie for some weekend pro bono work away from the office.

It took twenty or so minutes for him to dress and fix his hair (perfectly styled, of course) but an additional twenty minutes simply to Google search what "con" Kavinsky could have been talking about. It didn't take much effort (once he figured out that "con" meant "convention" and not "confidence trick" or "convict" ) and off he went in his car, idly wondering what on earth Mordred could be getting into to warrant the need of a lawyer.

Knowing her... pretty much anything.

Purchasing a ticket at the door was a feat in itself, the lawyer surrounded by oddly dressed teenagers and groups of young adults prattling about something or another. He felt out of place but held his chin high and kept his mood jovial as he slid the crisp bill to the ticket girl.

Once inside, he tugged out his phone and shot off a text to let his Russian companion know that he was inside, as there was no sign of Mory or Kavinsky in sight among the masses.

Mordred Pendragon

Now, Mory wasn't stupid. She was just a tad fool hardy with certain endeavors. Like running a gambling ring. She had told Kavinsky because honestly showing up with a bunch of cash was rather questionable, and well, if she got caught, at least then he couldn't say she didn't try telling him. Or giving him no warning.

Yet as she rounded the corner, ready to set up the bids for the next round of games she saw him.

The Beau.

The table that the Corner Game Shop had set up in the convention hall was relatively small compared to the other vendors - much less the extensive gaming pavilion. Yet, for the small store run by the St. Grey family, it was the biggest venue they had ever been a part of.

Alphonse and the twins’ parents had pulled out all the stops to advertise their little gaming shop. Fresh-made signs and flyers and business cards had been printed. A small station to test old games before buying had been rigged up. A screen blinked waiting for any of a number of consoles to be set up.

Of course, there were the wares too - games of all types, new or old, table-top, console or PC. As many as they could bring without completely depleting their stock at their apartment/shop/gaming cafe (whatever they were calling it now).

The exhibit hall began to fill and Mr. and Mrs. St. Grey started handing out flyers and advertisements for the shop. Alphonse anxiously waited for Aura or Imagi to show up. He didn’t know how he would keep up without them!

Vivi Beeson

Vivi finally made it to the convention hall, excitement building in her as she had passed through the bustle of media coverage in the main hall, and now she wanted to check out the booths, maybe buy some stuff, she had brought some money with her for just that after all.

She passed over a few food booths, not hungry yet but planning to go to them after they had their rush of hungry patrons. and passed a few art booths, though she saw some prints she wanted, she wanted to see the booth brimming with plushies, specifically clearly stitched together downright weird combos of plushies. It seemed, she found Abby's gift right away.

"Excuse me?" She called when she got closer and the crowd around the booth dispersed, hoping to gain the attention of the vendor.

Well, Justine hadn't been calling to anyone in particular (tricky tricky), but since she managed to get someone, she considered the lure successful. "Mm-hm." Her eyes went from the woman to the child to the sketchbook, and then back. She made a prolonged thoughtful noise before picking up a pencil and starting a pose skeleton. "How old is she, and do you think she'd be willing to hold still for a few minutes? And you, too. Holding still, I mean. You don't need to tell me how old you are." Even as she talked, she was making fluid sketch lines with the pencil, making it not entirely clear what was getting the majority of her concentration.

Evren Porter

Evren looked up with relief. "Oh thank goodness... " Standing up to walk around the booth to take the kittens back from their current handler.

"...There are still two missing so if you don't mind... I'm quite sorry... usually all the little ones I look after don't stray too far away from me..." Pulling out the box she placed the siblings back with each other.

Putting her hand on her cheek she sighed. "Oh please call me Evren. I was hoping they would sleep for most of the time here but I guess they're just too curious..." Bending down to the box she pouted at the kittens.

"We're trying to find potential adopters remember! You can't get adopted if you're not here!"

Omorose Khan

The girl was so sad to hand them over but she understood, they were working kittens.

Her eyes widened though and she blinked slowly. "Adopting you say?" She wondered if Penelope be upset if she took home a kitten.

Could she take a kitten to negaspace. "Would it be easier to look with you or should I do it by myself?" She smiled at her, "I got super senses for kittens! I bet I could hear them well!" She flexed regardless of talking about her ears being super.

When she started to walk away to find the other kittens, she sent a text message to her benefactor with a plea gif.

Stormy Ortega - TEArimisu vendor

It was time! After tossing her bottle in the trash and readjusting her uniform and apron, Stormy rushed to the booth. She was five minutes late according to the pink Disney princess watch at her right wrist, but thankfully the person she was relieving didn't seem to care. The booth had seem some activity at least, though she wondered if she could get away with eating some of the goods...The pros and cons of working for a place you liked...

She settled down in the chair and fussed over herself one more time. It was going to be a long while here, and she had to make the best of it.

Gwen was less than enthralled with the venue but she had conceded to go along to help build her and Brendan's roomate relationship. Well, at least that was how he had put it. She was pretty sure she was quite fine with the state of their 'relationship' but she played along. Of course, the hot summer day wasn't going to be kind to her complexion a large hat protected her face and shoulders. A sun dress, white with a delicate blue floral pattern and flip flops were her chosen attire. Her ''meds' were also safely tucked away in a purse that hung off of her arm.

"You have far too much energy." She remarked with a yawn. Despite coffee, Gwen was exhausted. A night of patrol had wiped her out. "But...food wouldn't be a bad start. And something nice and cool to drink. It's scorching out here." She glanced around at the booths around them for something of interest.

"Anything in particular you'd want? I am not picky right now." She had slept late that day, skipping work, and food had yet to be acquired so anything would suffice.

"She turned five a few months ago," she answered, a bit automatically as she put a hand on her child. Abeline was good at direction, and especially liked the attention. "Abby, can you stand still a bit so she can draw?" she said to her daughter, who nodded excitedly and took a stiff standing pose, beaming as if it were a school picture and a camera was watching. Cat laughed and turned back to the artist, also trying to stay a bit more still. If she was drawing, there was no reason to make it harder on her.

"So, how long have you been an artist?" she asked, curious as she watched the other woman made strokes on her paper. Back when she was in school she knew some people who were really into the arts, but aside from crafts, she wasn't much for it personally. It was always fascinating to see though, and as Cathleen felt a bit awkward quietly standing there, she continued to make small talk. "Did you go to school for it?"

Kavinsky

Because he was on foot, Banks beat him into the convention and through the ticket line. He didn't get a chance to catch the lawyer before he slipped through the entrance gates and he had to hastily purchase a ticket and shove his way through the crowd so that he didn't lose sight of the man in the crowd.

It appeared that Banks had been spotted by his ward just as Kavinsky came up behind the older man, reaching for his arm to wrap fingers around the bicep.

"Banks." He said curtly, silver eyes cutting over to Mory. "солнышко," he greeted her with a nod and a narrowing of eyes in suspicion.

"Called Banks in case we need legal help," he stated, though it might've been obvious. With Mory it was near impossible to tell and they hadn't told her that they'd maybe made out once...or several times.

It didn't matter.

He wasn't telling her.

Busted. Mory slumped visibly when she was caught but not just Banks, who she actually liked in a weird approval by way of dating Kavinsky way, but also my the man himself. She actually felt a bit of guilt when he said he called banks because he thought she was serious about legal trouble.
"I- I mean I haven't been caught yet!' She defended herself, a touch angry that K thought so little of her skils. She'd told him just as a precaution. "I just figured it would be good to give you a warning is all."

But none of it mattered because they were here, meaning they spent actual money to get in which just made Mory feel worse because knowing them both they'd done it no questions asked and money wasn't easy to come by. Not in her experience. Even if she's accidentally started a gambling ring.

"I just- well. I may have accidentally started a gambling ring over the MOBA matches and uh-" She smiled.
"Well, I can afford to get us all dinner later?"

Evren Porter

Moving to put up a sign saying that she was away from the booth. She smiled back at the girl. "I don't mind the help! I don't think they've gotten too far but you should never underestimate cats."

Evren smiling she looked over at her cat. "Regi please look after the little ones while I'm gone okay!" The lethargic cat blinked his eyes once before turning to stretch and yawn. With a few steps of his feet, he jumped off the table and into the box with the kittens.

"He's a very smart cat... sometimes I feel like he's going to start talking in English someday... too bad the most cats can do is imitate other animals and babies."

Arthur - Order Gaurdian Cat

Arthur arrived based on a few factors. His daughter was sonewhere here and because he heard that big events had lots of food. Since a large cresent mood was a dead giveaway in public places, he put on a white and blue sailor bonnet that he felt looked fetching and wandered the convention until he smelled his daughter. Following along, he soon found her leg and rubbed up against it.

Torin

He didn't go out often. It was after he got off work and everyone and anyone said he had to visit the convention. It happened every year and was said to be A MUST to attend at least once. So with time to kill and some extra cash from patrolling with Castor, he decided to check it out.

Overall it was all lost on to. He didn't watch japanese cartoons and he didn't play video games. His downtime was taking walks with General or eatching tv with Wyatt - when they werr okay with each other.

Thinking it over, maybe he could get Wyatt something to ease some of the tension between them.....a lot of the tension between them.

He paused at a modest booth that he coukd actually make sense of.
