She laughed in earnest at that.

Seriously. He had a sharp sense of humor, and she was surprised. It was rather charming.

"Oh, that's easy." Knot answered. "Heard some rumors about a hardcore mercenary in the city who does all sorts of jobs, and thought that'd be fun to get into. New and exciting. I tracked him down and he's my mentor. So I run jobs like this." She adjusted the bag. "Beats being a convenience store clerk, and you can't beat the pay."

She grinned up at him.

"Plus I get to meet interesting people like you." A pause. "How does one become a late night delivery knight of Polaris, hm?"

"Technically I went looking for opportunity." Knot replied. "It's you who goes looking for trouble."

The woman chuckled at the quick retort, shaking her head a bit. "Rephrase." She returned, using the word he had used on her not too long prior. "How does one become a knight of Polaris?" She re-asked her question, but turned her gaze away to check their surroundings while she waited.

After a moment, Knot's free hand pointed.

"Ah, there." She said, "Please. Drop me there. I can't be seen showing up with someone else when I drop this off, especially someone like you." That would just open up a whole world of trouble she didn't need if that caught wind that she was hanging with one of those 'terrorists'. When he picked her up earlier? That'd be easy to write off as it happened against her will. If she showed up to a drop off with him casually in tow? No.

His reply was somewhat odd, but she filed it away to ask Machine and Bus about it later. She wasn't quite familiar with how knights worked, but also wasn't in a position to pick his brain about it currently. She had a job to do, first and foremost, no matter how fun this evening was turning out to be with him.

"If you ever see anymore of those stamps, let me know. I could suffer the ballet get up for those super powers." She teased, and couldn't help but reach up to gently press her thumb into the crease of his brow as he frowned. "Hey, go back to smirking at least. Your face is going to get even more stuck like that otherwise." When he dropped, landed, and gently set her down, Knot shifted with ease. She stood on her own feet before him, adjusting her bag, and smiling at him.

"Sadly, no. Don't think they're cultured enough to really appreciate it, anyways." She grinned. "Is this where we part ways for the night, Tsesarevich, or do your knightly duties include waiting for me to come back, too?"

She was surprised when he took her hand and kissed the top of it. The most it showed though was a lifting of her brows, and inwardly she hated how, for the third time that night, she felt butterflies. She cursed that somewhere, deep down, there was an inner romantic in her. After all, who couldn't be a sucker for legit chivalrous knightly gestures...especially when the said knight was a beefcake with an accent.

It was amazing how she had a completely different opinion of the knight after this encounter.

The bow, though awkwardly stiff, was endearing as well. "Look at that." She said after a moment, taking her hand back. "Chivalry isn't dead." Knot teased, and grinned at him. "You know getting into trouble and having you come to the rescue is a reward, right? If that's all I have to do for you to come back, I'll be neck deep in it, Tsesarevich." She winked at the knight, and backed up as well. After a few more steps, she spun on her heel, and departed into the night to complete her job.
