Keiko felt a pit in her stomach as the Tropius took off. Not because of being lifted into the air, but the fact of what she'd have to do - what she'd have to make Pokemon do. She didn't like it - Wren was right about that. But if this made the war effort any easier for the Indigo Alliance and Unova, she had to do it. While she didn't share my patriotism, she knew what Lysandre was doing was wrong, and she wanted to help set it right, even if what she had to do to help left a bad taste in her mouth.

When Wren broke off from Winona, she gave the same order he did, and could feel the speed increase due to her top-heavy body.

Wren guided his squadron of bombers across the length of Route 3 opposite Keiko and, as he went, he made sure to follow his own plan. Wherever he had a spot he could drop one of the bombs without a definite death being caused by it, he'd signal one of the Jumpluff to release and return home. He'd only dropped two when the troops down below caught the first explosion in their midst and mass hysteria broke out amid them. Neo Plasma units scattered like Durant without leadership, trying to figure out where they were being attacked from. When they looked skyward, all they saw were Pokemon with a delivery company's logo on them and assumed the bombs were buried as their own had been when they claimed Virbank City for their own.

"It looks like it's working." Wren said to himself as some of the troops began to retreat. It was only a few so far but as the bombing continued, the number was sure to increase. He kept an Keiko as best he could, trying to make sure she wasn't in need of help. He knew the enemy below wouldn't be fooled for long when his crew continued circling during this and they'd fire back sooner or later. Now was not that time, though, so he tried to keep his attention on the objective as best he could, signalling his squadron to drop another bomb about the time he heard an almost rapid-fire barrage of explosions behind them. Winona's attack on the frigate had begun, it sounded like.

Keiko didn't hesitate to do her job as promised, launching her own bombs when she flew over the enemy and told any Hoppip on her side to bail once they'd delivered their payload.

"We need to get out of here!," Keiko told Wren when he talked to her, not quite hearing him due to having to hold her ears shut - what with all the explosions going on. The rapid-fire blasts in the distance didn't help matters. Keiko was surprised that Neo-Plasma hadn't figured out how they were being bombed yet but she knew they'd figure it out soon and she didn't want any of the Pokemon in Wren's company hurt because of it.

Almost as fast as they had begun, Wren's team had unloaded their mortars on the Neo-Plasma grunts below and, true to his suspicions, the grunts began to retaliate just before the final bomb dropped. Luckily for Wren he was down to just himself and the Tropius he had chosen to ride for this operation, making it easy to dodge the incoming attacks -what few made it far enough into the sky to reach him, at least. The frontal assault didn't seem to have the kind of firepower they normally carried for big attacks this time, for some reason. Probably because the frigate coming in behind them had it. This wave was meant to overtake an already weakened bastion with the frigate containing the firepower to prevent it from being taken back, after all.

By the time Wren had unloaded the entirety of his squadron's payload, the Neo Plasma units below looked to be in shambles. Luckily it didn't look like anyone was seriously injured but they had mostly begun to retreat with the few remaining determined to press the assault left with little backup. Nacrene City's defenses should be able to handle the few remaining troops with relative ease and if they couldn't, he'd come back!

"Let's go! It sounds like Winona's attack is over!" The Grass Channeler shouted to Keiko as he drew his Tropius' path around and pulled up close beside the hybrid. It was true. The sound of the distant bombing had come to a complete stop by now. "Follow me!" Nudging Tropius forward again, he'd lead Keiko along the way back to the Airfield and dismount from Tropius' back. Congratulating his steed on a job well done, he'd send it on it's way while he waited for Keiko. Once the woman had landed and dismounted as well, he'd head toward Winona's plane, which looked like it had only just barely beaten them back.

"Looks like we did it!" The Gym leader cheered as she exited the plane. "The Frigate sank like a Golem after those bombs started popping holes in it!" She seemed a bit bouncy at first before calming herself down. "I'm not one for war but that was the most fun I've had flying in a long time! Those Plasmas kept me on my wingtips the whole time." Letting out a sigh at last, she seemed to be coming down from her high. "I won't lie... We're all lucky we're still breathing..."

Wren heaved a rather large sigh of his own. "Believe me, I know." He was a bit distracted, however, when a few of his Jumpluff suddenly floated up to him. "Hmm? I thought I sent you lot home? Work's done for today." He told the quartet. Two of them didn't stop at him, though, and passed right by him to Keiko, floating around her head for a moment before they stopped to present her with a gift just as the other two did to Wren.

"Pluff Jump jumpluff!" They all cheered as each pair deposited an egg into the hands of the trainer they had picked.

"Whoa! I didn't know any of you were expecting! When did this happen‽" He asked, shocked a bit by the sudden revelation.

"Pluff pluff!" The quartet replied with a unified smile before the four flew off home again, leaving the two trainers with their offspring.

"Okay... I'm a bit confused on that one. I mean... I've been planning on raising one of their babies one day but I never expected to get one of them sprung on me like this..." He admitted to Keiko before he looked back to Winona. "I think you've got this under control by now, right?" He asked, though he'd give Keiko a chance to contribute anything she wanted to add to this coversation before up and leaving. Especially since he was certain she'd be questioning keeping that egg his delivery Jumpluff gave her.

Keiko made sure to give the enemy attacks a wide berth, not wanting the Tropius that had been kind enough to help her with her mission to get hurt as a result. Once they were out of range, Keiko happily followed Wren back to the airfield and let the Tropius that had helped her return home. She was also happy to be done with this mission, but was caught off-guard when she was presented with a Hoppip egg. "Huh? For me?" she asked the Jumpluff that gave the egg to her, only for it to cheer happily and confirm that yes, she was to keep the egg. "Thank you!" Keiko smiled, putting the egg away as the Jumpluff flew off.

With that done, she looked over to Winona. "We'll happily help you with anything else you need doing, but if you don't have anything for us, we'd like to head home, too.," Keiko confirmed in her own way.

Wren nodded to agree with Keiko. "I agree. We've got things to do elsewhere as well." He affirmed calmly but with confidence.

"No, I think you two have done plenty to help for now. If we need you again, we'll be sure to call on your lot when the time comes." Winona assured.

"We'll keep in touch then." Wren assured the Gym leader before signalling for Claydol to come pick them up.
