Aura could feel her sister's presence behind her like a cloud. At first, she had been overjoyed that her parents had instructed her to take Imagi to the fair but now... now she just wanted to go home. Go home and hide from her sister and talk to Alphonse and cry. And eat ice cream. Like a bucket of ice cream.
"Hey," Aura finally chirped with entirely too much joy, "wanna see if we can't earn a goldfish? Imagi only stared back at her impassively. Silence stretch between them forever and finally Aura nodded, putting down her money for a set of ammunition.
"What's the worst that can happen right?"
But Imagi's blank stare was effecting Aura more than she had noticed. The balls either bounced off the rims of the bowls or fell to the ground without touching anything. But Aura still smiled despite herself and set down more money harmlessly.
"You wanna try Imagi?"

Coming up after Nadia he picked up a few balls as well and tossed them at the bowls and they bounced off the rims, not landing in any.

Amigar had already had so much fun with her new panda bear. Though she once again found a new game to play.
It looked super exciting as she stepped up to the game. She once again handed her ticket. She set her panda on the counter beside her and focused really hard on the fish bowls.
One at a time she tossed the balls and waited anxious for them to land. Sadly they all decided to go the wrong ways. She just laughed picked up her bear and walked away acting like a champ but sad inside. Since she really wanted a fish. Which was weird but they looked cute!

Nimue went up to try her luck again. Once more, she got close, but managed to not get her balls where they needed be.
Not a problem. She could keep trying and in the meantime... funnel cakes.

Marta did her best to try again! And, on the second toss, she SCORED A HIT! YASSSSS! One wonderful fishy for the tank! Yes, she had received permission to add fish to the family's tank. What of it?

Fairs were NOT Kestrel's thing.
At lerast, not unless she was working, which she wasn't. It wasn't a case where she didn't want to nor a case she would even decline -- in fact she adored kids -- but she wasn't asked. Likely.. Well, due to playing gothic-industrial.
OK, so maybe gothic industrial wasn't kid friendly but it beat hearing more kiddie songs than--
Kes' musings were interrupted when the young woman caught a flash of gold, and lit up. Fish! Goldfish, and in the middle some very pretty koi too. Sure, the poor things were stressed, but Kes figured she might save one, or try, and the DJ hummed, tossing a buck to the owner and moved to play.

Stump_Fairy "Hiya!" Evren yelled on her turn as she threw the ping pong balls. Only to give a sigh of defeat when none of them entered in any fish bowls. Puckering her lips as it seems she wasn't freeing any fish this round. "Yah!" The sounds Evren made were way to over dramatic as she just threw all the balls at once instead of one at a time like a normal person. This time she was lucky enough to get one into one of the bowls. She smiled as she was handed a goldfish. Evren stared blankly. "Unfortunately, Sir Buttonwood one of you does not a rescue mission make... I must win more so we may release you a proper tank because it's not a good idea to just randomly throw fish into a river."

Accalia gave the ball toss a turn and didn't land in any of the bowls. What would she really do with a fish anyway though.

Fish... probably weren't a good prize to take home, Owen thought - especially goldfish and koi. He remembered reading about them a few years ago, and how goldfish needed a lot of room, koi even more, how they were pretty dirty and needed a lot of water changes in order to stay healthy and in general just weren't really worth the work that one had to put in in order to take care of them. And yet... looking at the ones up for prizes, he couldn't help but decide to try.
It didn't go well. His luck was holding solid at nonexistence for the night, it seemed - not a single one went in, and he was left fishless for the effort. Oh well, it really probably wasn't worth it. The poor thing would probably have died from stress in a day or two, even if he had managed to win one. Still, he... couldn't quite let go of the idea of trying again, so maybe he'd come back to the booth in a little while, and give it another go. For now though, he would remain fishless and kind of bored.

This time it was sabrina's turn. She got the ball ready and tossed. Though no spaghetti o's. She wasn't taking the fish home this time but their was always next time.

Wandering back to the goldfish booth after indulging in some tasty treats, Nimue once again lined up to try and win a friend for her earlier prize. After all, friends made life good for people. It only made sense that the same would hold true for goldfish.
Once again, she tossed the balls off in quick succession, pumping her fist in the air as one of them landed in a winning bowl.
