__ Tetsuhiko was surprised to see that Zhi was not in a rush. She seemed energetic, but much more relaxed than he was accustomed to. The girl was also practically psychic with her sensory abilities. "Then they will tremble before our might!" Tetsuhiko then struck a power pose before he continued his walk.

Tetsuhiko then followed and decided to go stealth with Zhi. When they sprang out from the shadows he used his punching and kicking piston limb mechanisms. These coupled with his steel fists and feet made him much more competent in taijutsu than he had ever been before. Zhi's combination of kunai attacks were a blur as always. The puppet boy continued his precise strikes with his spring-loaded hyper fists. When he was done pulling his weight on his half of the enemies he wiped the blood off of his hands in disgust. "How I loathe having my beautiful hands dirtied!" Tetsuhiko lamented as he looked over at Zhi.

Suddenly, a spiraling wormhole of sorts opened up in front of him and Zhi. Masato and Taylor then materialized and Tetsuhiko could hardly believe his beautifully crafted puppet eyes. Taylor then began oddly speaking of innocence as he and Masato teleported to witness Zhi and Tetsuhiko standing over a bunch of dead bodies. Then again, Taylor seemed out of sorts in general, but Tetsuhiko supposed that all Suna ninjas carried a degree of trauma with them. Taylor was especially shaken though which made sense given the story Zhi told him earlier. Before Tetsuhiko could run in and initiate a Sunagakure remnants' group hug Taylor ran off and either became invisible or disappeared entirely. Tetsuhiko immediately turned to Zhi, who must be devastated as Taylor ran away from her. "Zhi, we need to go after him! Can you sense your beau?" Tetsuhiko would follow Zhi to help find their friend. Hopefully muscles could come along on the adventure.

__ Zhi adjusted her oinin mask since it was starting to become somewhat lopsided from the scuffle. Tetsuhiko had finished on his end as well, naming them triumphant yet again. As she finished doing so Masato's chakra signature appeared out of thin air. The only person she'd ever known to just appear in and out of her awareness was her father. The ability he used to do so was far less subtle, though. There was another chakra that came forth shortly behind her sempai. "Taylor!?" Zhi asked softly as she reached for and removed her mask to actually face him after so many years. However, Taylor seemed very much... off. He looked confused- fearful even. He spoke in unintentional riddles, mentioning someone or something named Kogarashi. His attempt to mask himself in the Camouflage Concealment technique which she also knew did little to hide him as he asked not to be followed. His body flicker could only take him so far, and she would watch him seek a place where he could find passage off of the island of Awajishima. Tetsuhiko's suggestion to follow echoed within her being. That was exactly what she wanted to do, but the swarm of questions regarding him did something rare. It gave her pause. Zhi once again donned her mask then looked to Masato. "Sempai...?" She wanted to ask him what was going on, but didn't feel it was right to risk the limited window of opportunity either. Their mission to clear out the bandit fortress would have to wait for this personal detour. "Ren." She referred to Tetsu by his codename instead, "Follow me. We're going after him." Of course, Masato was welcome to come too. Or he could do whatever he pleased. As far as she was concerned, this drastic change of pace was his fault so she didn't feel bad about leaving so abruptly to do as she saw fit. Taylor had a little bit of a head start, but he was running from an expert tracker, sensor and a famously quick kunoichi. He couldn't outrun her for long.

Masato watched as Taylor acted in Taylor like fashion, fleeing under pressure with his weakened mental state. Zhi would look to Masato, clearly stunned by the events at hand. Masato nodded. " Lets follow" he said as the group moved just ahead of him.

As they met the road and Taylor camped within a wooden enclave provided by Shinsei, a man crossed the Senju's path. It was no singular, unknown face, but Souta of the Land of Floods . . . someone he had previously worked with under tenuous conditions. Someone he'd said goodbye to before, and had wondered about since then.

That man -- Souta Shirokabe -- stood before him with a look of worry and sorrow in his eyes, and a deep contained stillness built into his gullet. With an apprehension laced in what could only be known as fear, he approached the shinobi, and narrowed his half-cast gaze.

"Shinsei --" he began. "Come back to us. Come back to Ginmizu." He urged him. There was a bleeding urgency in his voice that was so shrill, the Senju could not resist a sickening stall on his throat.

              "S-souta, that's simply--" he began.

"Please," the man replied. "I know I didn't treat you well enough. I didn't pay you enough, or provide you with enough affection. I know how you felt -- I felt much the same. So, please . . ." The man's eyes were lit with tragedy. He stood before the shinobi and shook him, the now-adult man barely able to hold himself steady through the other's emotion-fueled strength.

He felt... completely stalled. Shinsei truly had no idea what he could even begin to say.

"I left for a reason, Souta. And it's not the one you think. I'm--"

"Shinsei," he cut him off. "I need to tell you. You need to know what happened after you left. Please, listen to me, Sanada. Please."

Sanada. A name reserved for those who he cared for -- who cared for him much the same. He felt no sickness in hearing those words from Souta, who had never really wronged him. He simply allowed his creative mind to flex and bend and even contort the others around him. He was an ambitious, desiring man. And Shinsei, a shinobi with near-limitless potential, he desired very strongly.

There was nothing wrong with that. Nothing ill or evil. It was simply the truth of who he was, and without malice, the Senju could not fault him. He... would listen to what he had to say. He confirmed as much with a nod.

"After you left, we were sacked. Even the chakra-enriched Mokuton walls were not enough to hold them back. They... simply glided right over them, using some... machinery; I don't know. They continued by looting the village, and more; raping half of the denizens. Taking the children into slavery. We had no shinobi, and no guardian, save for you. They must've known that a new settlement would be... so very vulnerable. Somehow, despite our isolation, they knew. They--"

The Senju stopped the man immediately. He already understood... exactly what must have occurred.

"Someone living there sold us out," the Senju determined. "They informed the marauders when I left that there was no protector remaining. They likely even allowed them inside through the wooden walls. It... doesn't surprise me at all." He knew the brutality of greed. He, and Falsa, had witnessed it over and over within their very limited lifespans.

Shinsei was certain he would continue to see it, more and more.

"I'll kill the bandits," he said. Souta stared lowly, uncertain of what to say, or how to feel. Retribution... felt good. But it wouldn't restore anything that they had lost. Nothing would, and he knew that. Not all of the lives. But - perhaps the children. Maybe, at least, the children.

The Senju nodded his head, laying a reassuring, soft smile onto his lips. "I'll rescue the kids, too. Maybe they can have a home in my old Clan Compound -- I plan on moving back in there. I would reinforce it far more than the little town we made together in Ginmizu. You could stay there too, if... you have nothing left. That's -- really okay."

The older man sighed, his ashy brown hair flowing with the wind as he looked properly into Shinsei's gaze. Then, he nodded once. "That sounds nice," he affirmed. "I have... nothing else, really. I took what wealth people offered me to reside in the village you built, and I left. Somehow, despite the gold hanging from my pouch and the clunk in my step, I made it out unnoticed. I don't understand."

The Senju bit his lower lip. It was an anomaly indeed. His first thought was, rather grimly, that Souta was the one to have hired the marauders to clear out the town so that he could reap their belongings and make off with even more than he otherwise would have. Right now, even despondent and wearing his half-tattered garments, he must have held a substantial personal wealth somewhere . . . if he managed to bring his gold with him, as he'd so claimed.

But, did Souta think he was that stupid? Was Souta himself that malevolent? The Senju was entirely uncertain. He'd never detected malevolence from him, just... the desire flowing within his wealthy blood to match the name and success of his father, and his father before him. He was an earnest, compassionate man.

And so, perhaps deploying a tact truly empty of mind, he decided to believe Souta's story -- and his claim -- that it was someone else indeed, or perhaps the marauders on their own accord. It would sit better with his heart to feel that way, Nagakaborous forsake him if he were to misguide his own mind. Regardless, it didn't matter. The man and he continued their conversation, following the logical train of progression as they explored the rumors and whispers of travelers wandering through the road.

Shinsei informed Taylor of what would be a slightly extended departure, as he continued to interview and perhaps interrogate a wide array of travelers wandering through the road. Focused on stories of raiders that had moved diagonally from Ginmizu to here, he eventually narrowed a band of violent bandits to the mountains separating the coast of Hi no Kuni to the interior, where he was likely to find his prize.

Children, soldiers, and all of their wealth. If Souta truly was manipulating him, then this was his grand trove; he would return all of the excesses they had looted, along with appearing to the children and surrounding populous as a local hero, a man who had bravely wandered from one land to the next. The thing was, Shinsei didn't care. If he was the culprit, if he wasn't, it didn't matter. He was rescuing children, and killing foul-hearted, and casting his own self into the light of heroism. Little else, to his own selfish soul, mattered very much.

Time passed. He and the man came upon the grounds together, a stipulation of their agreement. That way, the shinobi would know of his affiliations, confirming his innocence through the speech or silence of the killers.

Shinsei found himself standing before the enclave of the raiders. A light was flung high into the sky, alerting the residents of the poorly-furled camp of an intruder on the premise. Still yet, no one attacked, and one even approached.

"Why do you come?" he asked, looking over both the Senju and the man beside him, though there was no familiar glint in his eyes, nor perplexity. He looked upon both of them as strangers. It appeared the group may have truly been incompetent. If they didn't know of Souta's identity, then it meant they likely selected the village at random upon learning of its existence. A... very risky gamble.

"To kill you," the Senju spoke clearly, as the grass beneath their feet began to bellow outwards, a black necrotic rot racing across the soil. The Blighted Thicket came before them, and whispered upon the skin that layered the forms of his foes. The wood the man stood on, from his watchtower, became black as the walls shifted to a rotting umber. Immediately, he began to groan and cry, as his own energy withered from his body.

The man, no shinobi and therefore no contestant to withstand the Thicket's hunger, collapsed and went onto the next world. More screams - and cries - could be heard from the high walls of the watchtower. More souls passed on, though for the safety of the children, he did not spread the Thicket through the interior. Any contact with the blighted forestry, and they were certain to wither equally.

"Mokuton: Mori no Nayami," he whispered, as a gloom of miasma-like pollen swept forward, twenty human-sized wooden stakes appearing within the onset of fog. Shinsei spun them and hovered their forms around him, holding his hand stowed to the side as he manipulated their movements with his mind.

As a soldier leaped onto the tower to fire an arrow, one of the stakes moved towards him with a high-velocity, almost terminal propulsion, ripping straight through the center of his chest as it flew with him far into the depths of the encampment. His body, and the projectile, thereafter melded into the earth and allowed the Thicket to begin to grow . . . further and further in, spreading outwards as trees, vines, weeds and a vast brush began to spawn from the edges of the encampment. They crept, inwards.

"Shinsei, you... were you always this strong?" Souta asked.

"No," he objectively replied. "My power -- on this scale -- is sort of a new, fresh thing. I assure you, however, that I am of no threat to you or any innocents. I know my Mokuton appears unbecoming, but... it sings to me in a way that others can't hear. It's made me what I am, right now; powerful, in control." And control over his own destiny was all he had ever desired.

Clearing up the remainder of his foes was... incredibly easy. Heads were pulled from shoulders, men were left diced in cobbles of flesh against the pavement. The wood flung from the edges of the walls and impaled a whole assortment of bandits, lechers and murderers. He found faces he recognized; some of the women and men of the old encampment, some alive and some dead. All of them were raped. All of them were separated from their children, some of whom were already sold.

It was so gruesome. Though not as gruesome as his own retaliation -- a handsome sight to view. The Senju smiled faintly as he absorbed the world around him; he had the power to create positive things. To do right by others. And he had the power to end lives -- as many as he wanted, as quickly as the heart could stop.

The Lord of the Thicket, his mind labeled him. But he was more than that. And, beneath all of the sound and the words and the haughty expressions, there was an empowering hum that still sung into his body a sensation profound. A feeling of being touched - truly valued - by something far greater than himself. Was it a God? Or something more sinister?

He did not know. But like all adversity that spiraled into his fleeting life, he embraced it . . . with ease. And then, when the task was truly done, he moved on with Taylor and made his way back home.

              - - -

En route to Uzushiogakure, Shinsei utilized his newfound powers to further hone his control and manipulation over chakra. It began with concentration, though he mulled over what techniques he would like to learn next as he did so. He let his chakra out of his body, expelling chakra from the Suiton affinity as he did so, rain sprinkling over the scrolls that he had copied from the Academy of Uzushio.

It was nothing but pure energy, but it had begun to manifest as something more profound and sheer. He knew, now, that his chakra had truly begun to hone into something masterful. And, gratifyingly, he felt himself ascend far beyond the point he'd known prior to now. He was... a shinobi with few equal, in all the land. Even Sanae did not look too far beyond him. [ Grand Training: Concentrate Complete ]

He made his determinations for what jutsu would follow. There were many Suiton techniques he was interested in, as he manipulated the chakra that flowed from his body. Particularly, he replicated the overflow of energy that was necessary to properly channel a true S-rank ninjutsu, and examined the Suiton techniques that he would be learning in order to synchronize with his motions. He concentrated further and further on the signature of his energy, as his eyes mulled over Kanji now glossed with trickles of rain as his energy swept the dying grass around him.

Closing his eyes shut, he concentrated more. He pictured an image before him; a forest the size of any land, Hi no Kuni and greater, with him dwelling far among the center upon a throne of gilded branches. With his chakra now, as it was, he could create forestry more dense than any Hidden Village . . . a vast expanse that would only spread outwards. Blighted or alive, he had all the ability to paint the landscape in his own image, and form a dominion after his own mind. [ Grand Training: Concentrate Complete ]

What came next was the learning. He needed to learn the Water Body Clone, the Great Exploding Water Collision Waves, the Thousand Sharks Eating, and the Great Shark Missile. These jutsu were all fundamentally similar, though the Water Body Clone deviated from them. [Water Body Clone and Water Collision Waves Learned]

The shark techniques were centered largely around forming the mobile dome of water he had previously mastered. The dome itself was incredibly powerful and difficult for weaker foes to summit beyond. As such, he started his training by casting the large sphere around him, only to create a flurry of high-velocity and deeply dangerous sharks that swam through the crushing depths. [Thousand Sharks Eating, Great Shark Missile Learned] [ Grand Training: Performance Complete] [ Grand Training: Bolstering Complete 3x ]

Depth Charge, Mist Rain and the Tidal Wave technique were next. One involved applying higher density to the water surrounding an object, and thus crushing it beneath incredible force. This was naturally an ally to the aforementioned sphere, as Shinsei could follow his movements with the orb of water only to crush enemies caught within, very quickly. [Depth Charge, Mist Rain Learned]

The Tidal Wave was the final Suiton technique that he was currently interested in, and also the final test of performance he felt was necessary. The coming of dread was something that very few truly understood in earnest. Fear is far from the same thing, and even terror carries with it a different connotation. If you can formulate a thought, you aren't terrified, and if you can act through the foreboding you still have only reached the base level of the same primordial instinct. Dread carries tune with inevitability. To be truly stuck in a state of unrelenting and pure dread robs you of the ability to do more than smile. That was the encroaching feeling that overcame the peons who had chosen to make this road, so far from Giman's reach and relative safety, their home. As the scout rang the proverbial bell, rousing the masses, they could only look on in abject and resolute defeat the moment they saw the silhouette of a small woman standing atop a far off hill. Featureless, save for the purple eyes and their black rings somehow easily recognizable. The smart and bravest of the little cadre knew better than to think she was alone, but just knowing she had come was more than enough.

He steeled himself against that pit in his gut, the weight of his sins dragging him down by the neck like the stock below the guillotine. Weapons had to be prepared, members of the group roused to fight. Several eyes remained on her visage as she watched them from her perch half a mile away, the moon shimmering behind her. Her thoughts were clear, conscious still so heavy as she ran through the many diverse simulations of how she would first act. From his perspective, Falsa was the devil come to make good on a promise.

For her, this man was simply a step on her pathway.

By the time the would be bandit camp had gathered themselves well enough to be of consequence, the mounting dread multiplied as the body of a woman, short hair, shiny full lips creased in an amused smile showed herself. The same look in her eyes, but rods extending like devil horns from either side of her head. Poetry. And then to the otherside a man stood clutching a sheathed blade. He was perhaps the scariest, even as the fourth a bit of a ways back showed herself, coming over the hill and holding a somewhat annoyed look on her face. "There is four of them, and 6 of us. Why are we afraid?" one of the bandits asked. The sound of a clap echoed through the night, reaching the ears of the bandits and causing them to all jump even though the quiet of night should have masked the sound. They watched as the smiling one extended a hand, and the ninjutsu specialists prepared to defend, but much to their fearful realization there was no large scale attack, no massive explosion on the way. Hearts pounded, ears throbbed with rushing blood. Adrenaline all around as they awaited.

"Begone," was the only word that the Deva, Sevastiana, spoke as her attack fired itself. They didn't hear what she said, merely saw the outcome as that foolish man's body was flung, with absolution, hard and fast back and away from their camp, 50 feet into the night where there was a crack as his body hit something that was much.. much higher on the moh scale than human flesh and bone. By the time they looked back, there was only smoke covering Falsa and her entourage, white smoke... and the sound of an appearance. "Get ready!" the lead called as the men and women moved to start their approach, with only two of them staying behind to provide long range cover. The smoke was blown away suddenly as a large, green bird with a yellow beak flapped it's wings and flew like a bullet over the battlefield. Below, Falsa and Mugen were on the approach as well, moving as fast as they ever did, more in sync than his murders had ever witnessed. Trailing behind, was the Human path, less needed on the front line to help them. Sevastiana, for her worth, was nowhere to be seen as of now, nor was she the focus with the bird and bodies bearing down on them.

First contact was just as worrisome as anyone could have imagined. Falsa was quick on the draw, a false image distracting as her foot came out of the shadow of her Mirror Image feint and her target, the lead ninja, was bounced back from the impact. Mugen stood in the midst of two others, snatching a sloppily swing fist and sending it aside as his own fist cracked the jaw of his nearest offender and Falsa, following through, spun her body after her kick to drive the opposite leg into the jaw of the parried man's right side. He careened backwards, Falsa seeing in the eye of the bird, Human, and hidden Deva path that one of them was now in her blind spot and bringing down a Kunai. Her elbow came into her forearm, stinging pain down the offending woman's entire arm, and when the Human arrived she unsheathed her own katana in a quick strike, bringing it up to disarm, and quickly down to slash the woman's shoulder, just barely too slow to remove the whole arm as she recoiled. Mugen pivoted between them and held a hand out, having caught the two further back launching a pair of high level ninjutsu in tandem. The wind and water formed a horizontal line that threatened them, but not their now grounded or leaping comrades. A forceful showing, but it meant nothing as the attack seemed to slam into an invisible barrier, and before it could move any closer at all to them, it was entirely and completely absorbed and dispersed harmlessly. Mugen's eyes narrowed and he held his serious expression, flicking open his own Katana and placing a hand on the hilt. Falsa, moved around him, waiting for them to regroup, and the Human path, Jaeng-i Geojismal, sheathed her own, administering them with a scowl that spoke to Falsa's disgust with their machinations and just how... pointless it had been.

These 8 ninja had taken one of the world's lights from them, and as they looked into his eyes, the infinite purple ripples, he regarded them as only a revenant could. "Not as easy when I'm not alone?" he spoke to them as the bleeding one started to fall back, gripping at her wound, and their leader dusted his chest off, helping the other two back to their feet. Before she could get too far, however, the bird made a pass, and the Deva, atop it, yanked her into the air, 50 feet straight upwards towards cutting spheres of wind that descended on her, tearing into her skin and sending her crashing right back down. Mugen moved, removing his own blade at the two side men, aiming to bifuricate them in a swift motion while serving as a bit of a distraction for Jaeng-i to prepare something of her own. While their boss was able to defend himself, his back pedal found itself cut off by something solid: a wall of earth between the forward pair, and his long ranged teammates. He kicked off the wall, aiming to drive a wakizishi into Mugen's gullet, but Falsa was quick on the draw, rending him with an expression of her stamina that found his blade caught betwixt her clapped-together hands. A swift twist of her wrist and forearms, and the weapon came free of his hand while Mugen slipped right past him, driving his own blade all the way into the wall where the second in command had just seconds prior been. Rather than try to remove it he simply bounded up the wall with Jaeng-i spriting to the opposite side of the wall from Falsa. While giving chase, the two other ninja again attempted their combination attack, but before Mugen was hit, the bird itself flew into the path, taking the attack, missing the Deva path who, up above, was falling more slowly with her opened body. The pincer attack was launched, with Mugen leaping off of Jaeng-i and meeting the Deva in the air, taking her body and flinging her downwards with all of the strength one could imagine being produced by the man. Just before she landed, as the two ranged ninja attempted to kick off of the ground, Sevastiana exhaled the name of her technique loud and proudly. "Shinra Tensei!"

As the two were bounded away from her by the sphere of gravity that burst out from her body, each of the two of them were separately then hit by the second part of the attack, falling directly into the path of Jaeng-i and Mugen's Extreme Decapitating Airwaves, being crashed into the ground like the ragdolls they had become. Meanwhile, Falsa was not so subtely toying with the man who had orchestrated Mugen's demise, all the while holding a look somewhere between amusement and anguish. She narrowly avoided every strike, slamming her fist into his body in retaliation with every single avoidance, sometimes spinning in a devastating twister of power before delivering the blows. After a single day spent crushing the faux theives who had at one time been allied with these vagabonds, deemed too violent to even stay within the limits of Gimangakure, she had learned all she needed to simply by touching her hand to their necks. She'd personally promised the family members of Sevastiana, the living Sevastiana, that she would see to it these monsters were dealt with. Every. Single. One of them would pay. And so far, they all had been snuffed out. All but him. All but the one who had pulled the strings that led to hers and Mugen's deaths separately. It only took stealing the information from the minds of just a few of them after beating them to the point that they no longer had a resistant bone in them. From there... well the soul did hold the memories after all. His name, the trail he had left, the men themselves keeping tabs in case a job came along for them to make a buck off of their former friends.

Honor among thieves indeed.

Before they ever had the chance, she'd wipe them out herself, and accept the payment mostly as a means to an end. Proof she was, indeed, the proper and rightful owner of this act of karmic retribution. She bashed his head into the wall over and over, everytime pulling it back so she could make him look at Sevastiana, then at Mugen. Two of the souls lost to their barbaric administering of the world. It was truly inevitable that they would meet destruction at her hands. She was far from finding any joy in it herself, though... Sevastiana seemed to be smiling at his slowly fading body. When at last she had had her fill, she threw the almost corpse to the ground, stomping her foot on his throat, not looking herself, but seeing it through Mugen and Sevas as his final breaths were pained, strained and full of struggle. His soul was taken by Jaeng-i and the wall came crumbling down, leaving just a lightly scarred terrain where she had descended upon them, and gotten her satisfaction. Their next destination? Likely somewhere in this same country in fact. Time to see the village of whirlpools. Or maybe there was a requirement for there to be more training... yeah that was likely a smart idea. So back to Giman then.

Before Falsa could make it to Giman, seven Vortex operatives appeared within a circle parameter around the girl and her group. They were originally on patrol to find and detain the rogue operative who somehow escaped Uzushiogakure. What they found instead, however, was a blood bath of half a dozen bandits and a trail that led to the person who paid for the execution. After a brief interrogation they were able to trace the hired blades who were responsible. "Do not resist. You are all under arrest." The leader said. He spoke to all of them bodies not recognizing that they were all connected to the same person. Once he gave his command each of the six subordinates flashed handseals and caused spider silk to extend from their mouth pieces of their mask. This silk was as durable as iron and would bind the hands and arms of each person. It would cause no pain, however. They were not executioners.

Initially, there was a moment where impulse control was lacking, and when the Vortex ninja appeared before her, the girl was quick on the draw through Mugen. It appeared as though, however, Falsa held out her hand to stop him just before the webbing could gunk up their movements. Quickly, the group would move along with them.

Koutetsu made it to the main road. While he had an excuse to leave the village in the form of a Job, that job wasn't due for another two weeks. He was thankful the Guard had been lax and had failed to double check it. Moving off to the side of the road, he bit the thumb on his right hand and ran through a series of hand seals. Spreading the blood on his hand, he slammed it onto the ground, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"

Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning Technique ]
Type:Supplemental :: [ Universal ]
Official Description: The Summoning Technique is a space–time ninjutsu that allows the summoner to transport animals or people across long distances instantly via blood. Before an animal summoning can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. The contract comes in the form of a scroll, on which the contractor uses their own blood to sign their name and place their fingerprints and once signed it is valid even after the contractor’s death as long as the contract itself remains intact. After this they need only offer an additional donation of blood on the hand they signed the contract with, mold their chakra with hand seals and then plant the hand they signed the contract with at the location they wish to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how powerful the summoned creature can be. It should be noted that anyone can summon a contracted animal as long as they have the blood from someone who has made a contract, the seal of the summoned creature, along with a source of sufficient chakra that the summon will accept. A creature is capable of determining who is attempting to summon it from the chakra used. In the anime, it was shown that if a user attempts to summon an animal without first signing a contract, the user will be teleported to the home of the animal they have a natural affinity for.
Guild Description: See official description. Allows for DNA contracts between living entities.

__ There had been much to think about and as much as she didn't want it to, the encounter with Taylor extinguished a lot Zhi's normal spunk. She wanted to apologize to Tetsuhiko for being so unusually slugglish. They had made it back to Awajishima, eventually. 'C'mon me! I have to get it together so I can learn more about this Kogarashi group and what they're doing. There's gotta be some kind of clue regarding Taylor's amnesia. Get it together. Get it together. Get it t-' While not necessarily lost in her thoughts as they traveled Zhi certainly felt something was suddenly off about her surroundings. It was a phenomena she hadn't encounter in around five years or so. Everything was still, and silent- except her. It was as if... time had stopped. Zhi didn't want to get her hopes up, but she couldn't help but mumble, "Papa..." But then she realized that there was no way it could be anything else, "Papa can you hear me?" Zhi looked around, and focused her sensory prowess to try and find any sign of her father's chakra signature. There was nothing. Then she blinked and he stood before her. The man looked as though he hadn't aged a day since the war swept Sunagakure under its vast sands. Zhi, however, had grown quite a bit despite still being very petite.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared up at him with boundless joy, "Papa... you're okay." Sonosuke just smiled and brought his right hand to rest atop of Zhi's head while his left sat on her right shoulder. "My little Zippy." He gently patted her head a couple times and ruffled her hair a little. Zhi sobbed a few more times and wiped away some of the tears. "I looked and looked and looked everywhere I could for you and mama. I thought... I thought you both were... uuuuwwaahhh!!" Unable to hold back anymore Zhi closed the rest of the small gap between her and her dad to embrace him. Sonosuke allowed it, moving his left hand around behind her back while keeping his right hand upon her head. "Your mama and I are okay, and we're sorry we couldn't come get you. I came to check on you though. Papa knows that bad things are happening around you, and he wanted to warn you that more dangerous things may be coming. The world's balance is going astray."

Her father elaborated, "The bijuu are being leashed to individual and national powers. What's more... the rippled violet eyes should be awakening in many individuals at once." He paused, knowing that the last part was more riddled than the mention of the tailed beasts since Zhi wouldn't know about the Rinnegan. "Papa...?" Sonosuke's golden left eye glowed ever so slightly as what looked like many different clock hands began to turn counterclockwise at different rates. "Zippy- Zhi, my daughter, I am so proud of you. I want to make sure you remain pure and safe from harm while your mother and I cannot be at your side." An enormous amount of Sonosuke's singularly rare power was channeled directly into Zhi's body as his dojutsu carefully channeled the temporal energy it harnessed. "Agk! W-whuuuaaaa!?" Zhi's legs buckled and her whole body felt like it was seizing as she continue to try holding onto her dad. He only apologized while finishing this delicate process, preventing her from escaping his right hand's touch until the very end, "I'm so sorry if this hurts. I'm only unlocking a fraction of the power you have possessed since birth. Like me, you have limitless potential, but I couldn't let an abnormality like you wander the world without risk in your youth. I wish I could've waited longer to give back even this much, but it is necessary for the dark times ahead." Zhi felt her consciousness fading while a comforting warmth welled up and slowly exploded throughout her body from deep within. "Use and master your gifts to protect yourself and everything dear to you, Zhi. It will take some adjusting, but I believe in you as I always have." Everything went dark and became muffled around her until the point was reached that there was nothing.

Time would resume just after Sonosuke vanished as suddenly as he came. It was like a less comical scene from a Sandler flick had come and gone before anyone else could realize. Tetsuhiko would have only realized that Zhi was laid out on the ground in an extremely exhausted state in a moment which happened faster than he could've blinked his artificial eyes. Drained, but not yet completely unconscious, Zhi forced herself to open her eyes. Breathing also felt extremely difficult, but she knew she was at least alive. The world felt so much smaller all at once. Her sensory abilities felt like they had been violently shattered and only a few pieces returned to her. This blindness in the sixth sense she had come to rely on and live with for so long was striking, along with the tingling numbness that coursed throughout her small frame. "Wwwhat.... h-haaappened..." She struggled to ask. Zhi didn't even remember falling down, but she did know that her father came to her, said things and did something that led to this. Her short term memory was scrambled, unfortunately. Hopefully whatever Sonosuke had talked to her about could be recalled soon.

__ When Zhi disappeared Tetsuhiko was very surprised. He took off and stored his cloak and mask and began searching for his friend. The Iron Prince knew that she was fast but she could not have been that fast, right? The living marionette searched around the area relentlessly for some time before Zhi reappeared some time later. He ran right over to her. "Oh my stars! Are you okay Zhi, I mean, Tempest?!" Tetsuhiko immediately ran over and extended a hand to help her off the ground. "You disappeared in a flash! What happened?" He was extremely puzzled and asked what happened to her even though she asked it before him.

__ Zhi heard her dear comrade and friend's worried tone as the world's ambience started to come back into focus. Her vision began to return shortly afterward and her physical strength behind that. "Papa... t-time... he did... something." She attempted to somewhat successfully lift herself into a hunched posture and adjusted her mask so she could see properly again. Then Zhi looked up to find his offered aid. "I feel very... different." As she took Tetsuhiko's hand she noticed a faint glow of light from her body which faded right after gaining her attention. When she was back to her feet she tried to process the whole event again as quickly as she could. 'Time stopped. Papa appeared like usual. He warned me about... something. Then he wouldn't let go while he said he was giving me some kind of power. Now I'm here like this. That about sums it up.' Zhi never understood the wibbly wobbly powers of her father, but this much was completely new to her coming from him.

She took a moment to examine herself then felt a rushing surge of pain flow into her mind then down through her body before vanishing through her fingertips and toes. "Gah!? Uuuwaahh.... haaa...." Zhi nearly collapsed all over again because of it, "Hueehh..." She groaned as her body trembled. She took a step back to reclaim her balance again, and the ground rumbled slightly in response. Then flowers and shrubbery sprouted outwardly from her, and a few of the bushes outright grew into small trees. All of them radiated that same strange light as had covered her body moments ago. "Whoa..." Zhi gasped in awe reaching out to her right to lean against one of those small trees. However, as soon as she did an accidental but automatically unleashed blue laser of energy pierced through the trunk where her palm came to rest and then a burst of explosive force erupted outward from the same hand on contact.

Zhi stumbled back away from the uncontrollable phenomena and another variety of plant life began to grow around her. She could feel the drain on herself, as well as sense her body as the source of the occurrences. "What DID happen to me!? How am I doing all THIS!?" Truly, she was bewildered in such a way she'd never been before. Tetsuhiko was unconsciously kept safe in all of what was going on, and she hoped he might have some kind of hypothesis. Either way, Zhi needed to quickly reign in whatever she was causing to happen so they could safely navigate the island from here. "Ren..." She thankfully remembered to use the abbreviated codename of her partner, "I think we should put our investigation on hold for a bit and head back to the village." Hopefully he agreed to that option, because she was pretty sure she needed to recenter herself before she could be of any use to anyone again- including herself.
