Hydra couldn't help but lean into the gentle caress of his hand. For a brief moment she was capable of pretending like he wasn't losing too much blood, that she hadn't only seen him because she'd found him being attacked by something, and that instead, they were simply Hydra and her dream prince.
She didn't realize how much she missed him until he was tangibly before her, so close that she could almost pretend that their last meeting hadn't been so ugly. That she hadn't pushed him away. That she hadn't betrayed the sweet boy who loved her because she wanted to be loved by the man she once thought imaginary.
It hurt.
Everything hurt.
"Instacare, we'll take you to one of those or...or...I don't know. Sealie I don't know what to do but...but I don't think I can stay if whereever we go. Just-- Just tell me where I can take you please, before it gets worse."

"T-That sounds good."
Rising to his feel was proving difficult, the older boy relying too much on the small woman in front of him, his weight leaning into her as he attempted to find a comfortable position that would allow them to walk together. "I think there's one... a couple blocks from here."
Her comment had his heart panicking. They'd just come across one another once again and she was already trying to slip away?
"I'll let you t-take your leave..." He said quietly, doing his best to speak without wincing, as if it was just an everyday conversation between two best friends, "...if you promise to meet me, at least one more time. Later. Without crazy monster birds around."
He knew he wasn't in a position to be making bargains, not when his vision was getting blurry around the edges. Straight lines were now fuzzy, her face was starting to distort and Seal's Eye knew they were on the clock, so to speak.
Still, he had to at least try to salvage what was once lost.

Maybe it was the adrenaline that had her acting irrationally or maybe it was the fear that if she didn't make this promise, if she didn't show him that she still cared that he would be stubborn and insist on practically bleeding out instead getting taken care of all because he refused to let her leave but Hydra acted without second thought.
She reached to draw his face down to hers until their foreheads could press together, just like the tips of their noses were. "I promise," she mumbled, shifting so that her lips could barely brush his in something extraordinarily chaste before pressing them more firmly against his cheek.
"Now please," she begged, "let me save you."
Hydra's hands slid down until they wrapped around his waist and she could hug him tightly, trying to think about the instacare that he had mentioned. There was an alleyway not too far off that she used to cut through...
Her eyes squeezed shut and she concentrated on teleporting both of them there. When she opened them, they could see the building not too far from where they now stood.
"Sealie, remember I love you okay? But I really, really need to go so that you can get help."

He didn't resist when she took his head, willingly pressing it against hers. Before he knew what she was doing, her lips were pressing against his chapped ones, then against his clammy cheek. It was a kiss that spoke of desperation, of heartache and pain that went unspoken. He knew it was there and he hated himself for dragging her back through the emotions but Seal's Eye was just a man and as a man, he had his selfish desires just like the next weak male of his species.
His best friend was finally back and he wasn't going to lose her again so easily.
"Oka--"
They were teleported before he could finish his agreement. The instacare's sign was neon red and white, a beacon in the dark street that called to the injured Guardian.
Her comment had his head turning, his good hand shifting to squeeze her shoulder. "I'm sure there's someone else o-out there in need of saving, my heroine. I'll be fine."
Releasing his hold of her, he fell back against the alleyway's brick wall, exhaling slowly as he mustered up his energy. He would have to shed his powered form before entering the building, which meant seeing off his friend and praying she kept her promise.
"I'll see you in your dreams, my Lady."
Bad arm still pressed against his torso, Seal's Eye did his best to bow towards the Eternal Senshi, blonde hair bobbing with the effort before he rose back up to find solace in the sturdiness of the brick behind him. Offering a sly grin and a wink, he added, "I'm going t-to hold you to your word, you know."

She hated that she was crying.
Her eyes were puffy and red and sometimes the way the salty tears made her eyes burn but mostly, she hated that she was crying because her heart was hurting. It hurt because Seal's Eye was injured and being stubborn about seeing her again when he should have been focused on getting taken care of so he could see her again.
It hurt because she had been forced to realize that despite her decision that Akio was it for her, she was still hopelessly and desperately in love with her Dream Prince.
And it hurt because she knew that he didn't love her like that and she was forced to remember all over again.
"You will okay," she told him, voice cracking from her desperation. "Just-- you have to get taken care of first so that there's a you for me to see." Reluctantly, Hydra let him go, pain pinging her heart when she swallowed and stepped back, both hands brought up to her chest. "By the fountain, like we used to," she offered, nervously chewing on her lip and doing her best not to look at the wound.
When it became too much, she left-- teleporting away because she was afraid if she didn't she wouldn't leave at all.

He could hear the sorrow in her voice and he wanted so badly to reach out and comfort her. To take her into his arms and console her, to let her know that he would be alright - they would be alright. That she had no reason to worry so much for him and they could return to how things used to be.
As hard as he wished for it to be, he knew things would never be the same. He couldn't give her the one thing she wanted more than anything else and he was a b*****d for forcing her to see him when he knew how much it stung her heart to do so.
But... that was a moral dilemma he would have to face when he was not currently bleeding out in an alleyway.
As soon as Hydra teleported from sight, he took a deep breath and focused around him. He couldn't sense another powered being in the vicinity, giving him the opportunity to allow his glamor to fall, leaving an injured, wincing Akio Yoshida in his stead.
Gritting his teeth, he hobbled his way across the street to the Instacare, where he was soon carted off to the nearby emergency room. It was there that he finally tugged out his phone, shooting a text to his girlfriend to check in with her.
Had he Hydra's number, he would have sent her one too. Instead, he simply chose to bide his time, waiting for that evening when he could once again join her by the fountain in the park and see his best friend for at least one last visit.
