As he spoke to Zhi his eyes caught a glimmer of movement in the top right corner of his eye. Looking at nearly the same moment that Zhi did, he would spot Karuto.
" About time, I was wondering how long it would take you two to catch up." Masato said, spotting Saiko walking the normal route. He smirked. Karuto's silent expectation was not wrong. While Masato was bent on controlling the Bijuu and their Jinchuriki in the future, he was equally set on a rematch. He wanted to crush everything that was stronger than himself. For the sake of his mission though, he would show restraint for now. It was no sooner than he had spotted those two that yet another voice called out. This time, it was accompanied by somewhat unfamiliar sounds. Immediately, he would take note of the familiar form. Tetsuhiko. He knew the man all too well, having inhabited his body once before...now, looking at him...something felt off. He would not ask, but at his core he knew he had done something to alter himself. He would disreguard the chatter of mortals and gods. " I suppose...we're about to go seek out the tailed beasts. For better or for worse." Masato sighed with concern. __ Zhi interjected right after Masato's less than enthusiastic explanation to Tetsuhiko and anyone else who wasn't fully grasping the intention yet, "T-fizzle!! What happened to you!? You're all clanky now!! The little blue haired bird brain seemed to still have a knack for forgetting about the changes he friend had underwent to pursue his masterpiece. "Oh yeah, that's right though. I want to put my training to use and find the buggy bijuu. I'llgo ask the Kage of this village for permission once all our duckies are in a row." Zhi flashed a confident victory sign to the others after making her declaration. Bastet equipped her well during the war while the bujuu were being used by the enemy to become a hero. Sadly, the opportunityjust never presented itself to her. Now it was up to her to make things happen with her own power.
Although, having all this extra help was gonna make things so much easier. She remembered the trouble with Shukaku during the Henin tournament and how Sunagakure's people were forced to abandon their home because of the other bijuu. Zhi knew as well as anyone else not to underestimate those super powerful beings, but she refused to sell herself short either. "But for now everyone who wants to come should finish their training and other preparations. It's gonna be crazy hard... probably. Eheheh! Saiko stayed somewhat isolated from the group as he listened on to what was going on. As they were talking a familiar form came over to them, it was none other than Tetsuhiko. He hadn't seen the man in quite sometime, it seemed he had some something new. New haircut? Saiko's attention quickly went over to Zhi who was talking about bijuu hunting. 'Another one? Shukaku, Kyuubi and now Choumei?' Saiko thought to himself as she mentioned hunting the creature down. It made sense after all as they didn't want the bijuu to get into the wrong hands. Saiko could use another good fight like the Kyuubi anyway but, he wanted to train more before even thinking about doing that again.

Jove walked through the assortment of balconies and hallways as she made her way to the bottom of the scar of the Gully. The gulf built town was beautiful and she took her time getting down to the bottom. She walked down the last set of stairs to the beginning of the scar and saw the other shinobi speaking. She didnβt want to disturb them but she was curious about he tall man in the distance. He was going about the same as she was. She walked over to him and stood next to him ever so quietly β What do you suppose they are talking about? β She just look on the other shinobi in curiosity along with the man that she now stood next too. After a long day of training, stretching and being social felt like something she needed.

Her usual impulses to get moving and stay in motion were kicking in, so Zhi turned a friendly smile to the newest arrival, Jove, who was whispering to Saiko to inquire about the situation. "Howdy! I'm Zhi, but you can call my Zippy! That's the muscle-headed sempai, Ma- no; he's just Muscle-sempai. That's the other muscle-headed guy, Karu- I mean, Thor! This nifty stringless puppet feller over here is my old buddy, T-Fizzle. That one next to you with the eye patch was... uhh... Patchy!" After giving all these odd introductions in practically one breath, Zhi paused for just a second and added, "We're gonna try to find and catch some big new friends for... reasons. All volunteers are welcome, but I still gotta talk to Lady Sanae. In the meantime, I'm gonna go do some training to get even more pumped up! OOOOOSUU!!!" The bright-hearted, hyperactive girl let off a little self cheer which she kinda hoped others would join in for before dashing away at full speed to the academy. Like a little blue blur, Zhi was gone in a heartbeat.

Masato would glance back and forth as the brigade of ninja from the land of wind assembled. It seemed they all, for their own reasons were willing to hunt down the Bijuu. He would have to see their motives for himself. For now, he would focus on more training of his own, vanishing in a blur to the academy once more before departure.

It managed to happen again. It seemed like every time Saiko was in a group of people, some small girl would come to his side and ask what was going on. This happened all the time in Suna and with a turn of his head he had noticed it had happened again. Saiko wondered why that was. Perhaps because he looked like an onlooker in a group he was apart of? The man turned his head towards the girl that he did not know. Saiko was about to speak when Zhi began introducing the group to the girl. The man waited for Zhi to finish speaking, cringing slightly at her calling him 'Patchy'. Yes he had an eye patch, he didn't necessarily appreciate people pointing it out. However, Saiko forgave the girl as it seemed to be a personality quirk that she had to give people nicknames.
"I believe we're just talking about training to eventually take on the desert and take our land back. We don't wanna be refugees forever after all. Also, My name is Saiko, not patchy." The man would say to the girl that was now at his side having waited for Zhi to finish with what she had to say. Saiko would wait a moment for the girl to respond before smiling. "Good to meet ya. See ya around." He'd say before flashing a handseal and disappearing to go to the academy to train more. He had so much training to catch up on. At one point in Saiko's life he would have perhaps stayed around to get to know the girl but, with what happened in Suna his soul purpose was to become strong and protect those that couldn't. He failed that day and he had promised himself he would never fail again so long as he live.

__ Tetsuhiko supposed that a god fighting a demon would be apropos for the next production. He would also have a lot of allies to adventure with. This was certainly more exciting than his missions of late. "See you all soon!" He did a fabulous bow before backflipping and running out of the area to do some training.

Jove watched as the others separated into the other area of the Village. She knew that the time of being social was over; she knew that it was time for some training. The group talked about looking for the other Bijuu and she wanted to make sure that she would be able to provide a small amount of assistance if she needed. Jove started to traverse the halls and balconies of the Village headed back to the Academy to study.

It was his first day as official ninja of the village. Having finally graduated from the academy, Zane was only one step closer to his goal of revenge against those who betrayed his family and to return to Kirigakure. Despite pledging himself to the village, Zane's heart will forever lie with his parents and Water Country.
Stepping out of the alley he calls his home, Zane walked over to the edge and cupped water in his hands. Splashing his face, Zane breathed a sigh of relief as he was finally feeling like his body is waking up. This was going to be a very big day for him. He could now use his prowess to take on missions and make money. No longer would he have to live as a street rat on the mercy of others. He knew it would still take hard work, but he was no stranger to this. "Mother...Father...I promise you I will make you proud. Today, I take the next steps to achieving my goals," Zane said to himself as he clenched his fists. With those words, Zane headed towards the center of the village. βΊ

Koutetsu arrived at the Gully. The buildings surrounding the docks were typically stores dedicated to life at sea and a few hotels for weary travelers. As Koutetsu weaved through the fairly busy docks, he noticed one of the Dockmaster's waving him down. Heading over to the young woman, "Hello! Has the Kajibamaru fleet set out already?"
"Hai! Sujime left a note for you at the office, I'll take you there," the dockmaster said, waving Koutetsu forward.
Koutetsu was a familiar face down at the docks, usually working with his mother on various projects. New anchors, fishing hooks, and other smaller projects. He had yet to begin training on the more difficult tasks of weapons and armor for ninja use, but his mom had encouraged him to help forge and deliver products for those around the docks.
Making their way into a small building, the dockmaster went around a counter and fished an envelope from below. Handing it to Koutetsu, she said, "Here you go. Sujime said she should be back in a week or so."
"Forge the weapon worth wielding." "Forge the weapon worth wielding."
Koutetsu thanked the Dockmaster as he headed out, opening the envelope as he walked. Weaving through the crowd, he pulled out a letter and read it to himself. Kaa-san's working on a project for when I graduate? Yes! I gotta get to work then. I'm nowhere near ready for the graduation exam. With a renewed sense of purpose, Koutetsu rushed off to one of the Dojo's to work on his combat skills.

The air grew thick with the smell of the sea. The boats docking and shipping off were a wonderous sight. "Niko! The ocean! It's so big! Look at it!" Hisashi seemed very excited to be there. Niko laughed as they walked. "That's right Hisashi. I'd almost forgotten. You've never seen the ocean before have you?" Hisashi shook his head in awe. He looked out with wide eyes.
Niko and Hisashi walked to the end of the docks. The water was more shallow and it was easier to see the fish swimming about. Niko set her things down and readied her kunai. She added a line of chakra to it. Then, without warning, she threw it over the fishes. Instead of flying in a straight line, she tried a trick throw, and attempted to fish with it. It fell in, but she was having a difficult time with it. She retracted it and brought it back to her. She redid the chakra line, this time adding a larger surge of chakra to it. Then, she launched it again, this time with more ease. She was able to manipulate the kunai how she wanted. Weaving thought the fish, she retracted the kunai taking a fish it had impaled with it. She did this many more times until she was confident enough she had mastered the technique. She caught around twenty fish altogether.
After catching the fish, Niko realized she was out of kunai. She had made scrolls just in case something like this happened. She pulled it out and after a string of seals, she released the scroll. Then, she stuck her hand in the scroll, hoping to pull out some more kunai. Unfortunately, she was able to pull them out, but because they were made of pure chakra, a very minuscule amount, they didn't last after she removed them. She tried again only to fail. She thought about what she could be doing wrong. Then it hit her. She tried again, but this time she changed the density of the chakra and layered it into the scroll instead of just applying it. When she did it this way, she successfully created the chakra weapons.
"What are we going to do with all these fish?!" Hisashi barked in disgust. "I hate fish!" Niko laughed as she gathered her things. "We eat them silly." Hisashi barked again. "Why are you doing this to me?""Don't be so dramatic Hisashi. Now stay here. I have something I want to try." Hisashi sat down next to their things as Niko continued to mess around with the scroll. He looked over all the fish. To anyone else this was a gold mine of food. To Hisashi, it might as well be a bag of trash. "Stupid fish..."
For some reason, Niko had a brilliant idea. She took the scroll and layered the chakra like she did to master it. This time however, she held the scroll up to the water and placed her hand on the back of it. She send her chakra to it, and it instantly began to fire chakra weapons of all kinds into the water. "Uh-oh!" Niko began to lose control of the scroll and her aim as chakra weapons went flying everywhere. After a few dirty looks, the chakra weapons disappeared and Niko apologized to everyone involved.
"That is a dangerous technique..." Niko rolled up the scroll and placed it back with her things. "Still, it was better to learn it here than at the dojo." She turned to Hisashi. He seemed unwell. "Hisashi? Are you okay?" Hisashi, with a disgusted look in his eyes, had made himself sick to his stomach looking at and smelling the fish. He said nothing as he slowly got up and walked off. "Hisashi?" Unsure where he was going, Niko gathered her things and followed him.
When Niko arrived to the Gully, there were crime scenes everywhere. There were five to be exact. Buildings were burnt, just like the College and the Industrial district, but there were more portions to these crime scenes then there were in the other places. Niko walked over to the lead investigator to see if she could help.
"Ah, yes. You're here to help you say? Fantastic. Let's start with the first scene. There is quite a bit of damage, and the fire looks to be that of arson. We still aren't sure how the fire was caused here though. All we know is that it wasn't natural." Niko could take a few guesses as to who caused it, but there was no clear culprit. Niko was going to have to look at the other scenes. There was nothing but ash and charred remains of the building. Niko's guess: Fireball technique. That was the best bet considering there was no point of origin and the building was torn to shreds.
"The second crime scene... It pretty much speaks for itself." There was a man slain on the ground laid up against the wall of a building. He was taped off from the public but people were still around to see and take pictures. In the man's head, was a shuriken and in his lap was a sign that said "Beware The Don" in what appeared to be blood. Niko was sure of it now. "Could he really be responsible?" Don Juan. Niko began to cringe. "Typical shinobi hit. See it all the time. You know what I mean?" Niko shook her head. "No. This is too sloppy even for a genin. This has to be a cover up." Niko looked at the man. The shuriken had not been thrown so much had been jammed in there. Someone killed this man by, (Niko moved his collar to see bright red marks all over the man's neck) strangulation. He may have been dead before that. This was no shinobi." Niko stood up as they moved on to the next one.
"They robbed the bar of all of it's liquor and left a similar warning in blood as well. Also, for some strange reason, they burned all of this bar's money instead of taking it. There were several eye witnesses as well as victims too.""Any survivors?""Only in coma's or vegetables.""Hmm... Can I speak with the eye witnesses?""Yeah but there's only one willing to talk and he keeps going on about the "Don". Nothing useful though.""I see. Where is he?"
Niko found the man and as he spoke, Niko could tell he was trying to give them something. "The Don's not gone! I was there! I was here! I sought knowledge, and I witnessed justice! The flames! The flames! THE FLAMES! The Don's not gone!" Niko tried to ask a question. "Are you referring to Don Juan being captured and arrested last night in the Industrial Quarter?" The man would only repeat himself over and over. There was no real account as to what happened. Niko however, got what she wanted.
"The last two are both arson cases but the both have different causes and they both occurred around the same time. My guess, someone just took advantage of the riot in the Industrial quarter. Wanted to get revenge on the owner's maybe?" Niko shook her head again. This was obviously the work of Don Juan but Niko was troubled. Why would he go through all of this just to be caught in the Industrial Quarter? Then it hit her. "Check to see the owner of the buildings for me please. I have a hunch."
The buildings were all owned by Don Juan. His insurance claims will be ridiculous, especially due to the rioting that was going on. Niko put all the pieces together. The fires were all supposed to look like ninjutsu, however they got sloppy towards the end and showed that this was not a shinobi attack, the misdirection to make this look like "Don Juan" who was recently arrested, and the stealing and burning of his property, plus the crazy man who made little sense, all fit in together as a puzzle. Niko would try to figure it out. All of these events were tied together. The college, the Industrial Quarter, and this incident ran through Niko's mind. Then came the last piece. "Well hello again Red. Fancy meeting you here."
While all of this was going on, Hisashi decided to do some sleuthing of his own. He began sniffing around. He the caught a familiar scent. He smelled it when they entered the Industrial Quarter. He began to follow that scent.
"Sensei? What are you doing here?" Niko was surprised to see him. He had terrible news however and his look was as serious as ever. "Apparently, the man we arrested last night was not actually Don Juan. It was a stand in." Niko turned back to the crazy man. He knew something. Then the unexpected happen. She saw Hisashi slowly approach the man as he yell and began sniffing. Then without warning, he began to bark viciously. "Niko! This guy's fishy! He was at the Industrial Quarter and he wreaks of gunpowder!" Niko grabbed her sword when the man dropped his act and dropped a smoke bomb. After coughing a bit, the smoke cleared and Niko saw no one. The man escaped.
Niko could only infer that this was all a ploy to distract them from something bigger. She was unsure though. Her guess: the Don was planning something big, and he needed money. His bank accounts were now about to be full, because there was no way prove that this was any of him. Niko turned to Ryota as they went to the Restaurant District. They both knew the sad truth.
Niko would make her way to the Gully again followed by Hisashi. The shopkeeper advised her of a deal that was supposed to be taking place in a warehouse somewhere around here. Niko would just have to search them all until she found it. She had her trusty camera as well. Her goal: snag a photo of the real Don Juan.
Niko came upon a warehouse, but it was empty as the sky was blue. There was no sign of Don Juan or his goons. Niko moved on to another. This one had workers and employees up and down the place. This one couldn't have been it. Niko moved on to another warehouse where she would find two armed shinobi. "Jackpot."
Sneaking in would prove to be difficult. Niko didn't want to cause any attention. There might be backlash if even one of the shinobi thought something was off. Niko quickly went around the warehouse to the back. She noticed an open window on the roof. That was her way in. Before she jumped up, she made sure the flash and the shutter noise was off on her camera. Then, she stealthily made her way into the warehouse, leaving Hisashi in the back.
Niko could hear what was going on, but she wasn't close enough to understand what was being said. She was up in the rafters trying to stay hidden. There were even more shinobi in the warehouse, so much Niko wouldn't be able to take them alone. What's worse, there were three people standing in front of a dark skin man with glasses. "That's gotta be him." Niko would snap two photos of him. She angled them differently so she could have a left side and a right side. Niko thought it best to snap the three others as well.
There were two men and a woman. The woman had a lighter tone dark skin and long black hair. She was smoking a cigarette. Niko would snap her twice left and right as well. She seemed to be weak, but looks can be deceiving. Niko wouldn't underestimate the woman and hopefully someone knew who she was.
The next two snaps came from a familiar face. It was the crazy man from the other day. He however, didn't look so crazy anymore. He was blonde and had a kind face. Still, if he was in league with Don Juan, it was only a matter of time until he showed his true colors.
The last man was wearing a mask. It was like an anbu mask but simple. It had a blue lightning bolt going down the left eye. Out of everyone there, he looked the most dangerous. Niko snapped again.
She wanted to get closer to see if she could hear, but she had gotten what she came for. Niko was not a greedy person. She knew when it was time to go. Niko made her way back to the window. She had her pics, now it was time to turn them in. Niko dropped down from the roof. "Did you get em?" Niko nodded as Hisashi smiled and followed behind.
