Delta tilted its head at Dubhe, possibly pondering why the senshi might be upset. NovaCracker "What are you? Why did you have those things attack us? Why not try a more peaceful solution?" She finally spoke with a trembling tone, one that was poorly hiding the fact that adrenaline was fading, leaving a tired and somewhat saddened senshi. Delta seemed like a nice machine, and she felt a little badly. "There's got to be kinder ways, at least..." [[ This Unit is an Artificial Intelligence Projection, Biological Interface Unit, Delta. This Unit is a hologram. This Unit is designed to activate when Containment or Deconstruction procedures fail. This Unit does not oversee the Containment Units of this vessel. Peaceful is within my programming. Peaceful is not within the Containment Unit’s programming. ]] Stump_Fairy "I... I don't understand this nonsense of deconstruction but what I do know is what you're doing here is not nice!" Ananke put her fists on her hips."I have been shocked many times and then there was a giant electric snake! Since you seem to know what is happening I can only assume you were the one who was behind this. Who are your parents? I wish to talk to them to see where you got this idea that it is fun to play with electricity!" Delta seems to ponder these questions for a moment. [[ Deconstruction is the means by which this vessel, Exploration Unit Lambda, gathers and stores technological and building materials. A building, for instance, can be Deconstructed using Lambda’s Mass Particle Beam to reduce the building to its major components. This makes the gathering process more efficient.
This Unit does not have authority over the Containment Units. This Unit activates when Containment procedures fail.
This Unit does not have parents. This Unit is not biological. I am simply a hologram artificial intelligence. This Unit and this Vessel were created by [LOUD SCREECHING NOISE.] ]]

Super Sailor Cor Caroli
Okay, so the current answers pointed to alien logic. Alien computer logic. Strict alien computer logic. This was gonna be a doozy. Delta gave its answer to Cor's particular question, and then that godawful screeching noise happened. "What the hell?!" Cor nearly rocketed up (who could blame him for being jumpy after all that nonsense?). "What the heck was that noise?! Sentient biological materials? Okay, so, first off, if it's sentient and biological, it's probably not a material. Second, returned to where? And third, what do you mean by deconstruction?!" If he didn't get a straight answer, or that screech noise happened again, he was going to very loudly advocate that Delta either be attacked, or that everyone should just quit the interrogation and get out, because nothing productive was going to come out of the situation.
Of course, he wasn't going to attack Delta first himself. His fighting ability was piss-poor a good 70% of the time. He just kind of lucked out with Alpha. Maybe Delta's self-defense mode was the final boss? Oh, please, that kind of talk had no business being here. Whatever. Cor was feeling a wee bit belligerent today and really just wanted to go home and clear his head.

She did speak Spanish.
Anser was delighted. When the half-girl half-air AI returned a fluent Spanish statement to her and asked if she would prefer that to be her default language, Anser clapped, though it was mostly because she enjoyed hearing the Spanish spoken and not necessarily that she wanted it to be her default language. Not that she would complain if it was. She wondered how many people in there actually understood Spanish. Probably not many, if she had to guess. It would be like a secret language with the AI.
... Except not really that secret, Spanish was a fairly common language.
Still, the idea of the AI speaking Spanish delighted Anser enough that she quite eagerly declared a, "Sí!" in response.
Anser then leaned in a little closer, as if she wanted to tell the AI a secret.
"¿Puede jugar videojuegos en esa pantalla?"
She really just wanted to ask about video games and that screen, though. It seemed like the adults were handling the why were the other AI trying to kill them portion.
"¿Puedo jugar videojuegos en esa pantalla?"
And anyway, her fellow AI had just tried to kill them. It was the least she could do!

Knight AlphubelAlphubel had looked on in horror as the thing, Delta, had started to answer his questions. He had finally made it into the room, just as the thing appeared, and had been unable to think of any questions that hadn't already been answered. Well, it wasn't a very surprising answer, at least it wouldn't be in any other sci-fi horror about aliens coming to earth and trying to contain people. Heck, even Marvel had The Collector.
The fact that it was happening here, now, and in reality, was what was freaking him out.
When he finally managed to look around, he found Camelot and Hadaya, and practically raced over to them, his face red from the exercise (and probably the extremely warm outfit he was wearing) and practically grabbed Camelot's arm like it was the rope he needed to grab before he drowned underneath the water. He probably looked like an idiot, standing there, his mouth opening and closing without any words coming out. Hopefully the older knight would forgive him for this.

Computer logic explained why her response was simply something about prime directives, but it didn't explain why those prime directives were containment and deconstruction.
From what the AI continued to say after that, the Unit -- Lambda, overall -- had interest in finding things that were unusual and containing them. And ... deconstructing them. It had to have been some kind of alien research vessel. An alien research vessel with rather skewed ideas of a good idea. Unfortunately, it seemed people who thought they had superiority were perfectly willing to experiment on and destroy things they thought weren't superior.
Encke grimaced.
Familiar.
After everyone else had finished talking, and some of the yelling stopped -- and why was that chibi asking about video games right now? -- Encke ventured a, "You know," and cleared his throat, "if you want to know more about us, you could just ... ask. The whole capturing and taking us apart thing you got going on is more than a little unnecessary."
Some humans were violent and he didn't exactly expect everyone to be willing to talk to some random aliens, but the AI seemed pretty smart. It could probably figure out who would be willing to chatter.
"You'd probably get more cooperation with questions than shoving people into tubes..."

Guardian Cat BernardBernard wandered slowly into the room, taking his time so that he did not tire out by the time he came into the next one. Luckily he hadn't had to do much fighting, but it was still disturbing that he had to do it. AND it wasn't even against the Negaverse! It was quite wasteful in his opinion and he did not wish to have to do it again.
This place did make his fur stand on edge though, and he couldn't help as though feeling like something else was coming.
He had wandered through a few White Moon legs, making sure to rub against them a bit as he did so, just to put a bit of his scent on them. He may have been a Mauvian, but he did have some cat instincts, and the more it smelled like him, the more comfortable he would be in the room.
He had wandered back over to Nix and curled himself around one of his legs as Bernard listened to the being, Delta, talk that it apparently wanted to contain them, without their consent or asking if they even wanted it. "Mon dieu..." Bernard said, cursing a bit. He was watching too many french soap operas. He couldn't hide his disgust at all of this. Sure, he knew there might be others out there, and there were probably some planets those thousand years ago that pillaged and took and did what they wanted... but for it to still happen during this time...

Princess LetoLeto was tired, bleeding, and out of breath. The one saving grace of the situation was that the electrical hum of the room and the dancing lights and symbols all went away. It was silent. Until there was another strange voice asking for them to go see her. Great. Just what Leto wanted- another psycho alien b***h. She was really not prepared to deal with Altea v2.0 considering it still felt like just yesterday she was on another planet. She wrinkled her nose as the scent of burnt wires tumbled into the room as a door practically peeled itself open. Any normal person would have been reluctant to move forward, but Leto was mad and had quite enough of this s**t and would really ******** like to go home, so she grabbed Crocus' overlay once more to keep him by her side as she stormed- bruised, battered and burnt- into the new room that was apparently filling with other people. "I'll ******** kill you," Leto said through clenched teeth, ready to march up to the one called Delta ... until she heard it say that it was a hologram and there was probably no killin' that. Stopping short, she narrowed her eyes and glared at Delta instead. And then she was suddenly very aware of how full the room was and all of the different auras of various levels and factions and it was almost overwhelming. She hadn't even realized she was still gripping Crocus with one hand.

Lt. Paracelsian"Huh." From the sounds of it, this Delta was in a different sort of department from the Containment Units. The godawful screech noise that seemed to act as a kind of censor for Delta's origins was offputting, to be sure, but Paracelsian kept his composure. There were two possible routes he could take for further questioning: he could ask what Delta did have authority over, or he could probe more about Lambda, which seemed to be the monument itself. After some thought, he figured that asking about the "vessel" would just result in more of that forced censor screech and ultimately getting nowhere. "If you don't have authority over the Containment Units, what do you have authority over?"As he asked the question, Para thought he felt judgmental eyes drilling holes into his back with their gaze. He turned around slowly, and oh god there was a General with his eyes on him. He hadn't seen this guy before, but the way he was looking at him didn't seem that approving. He smiled nervously (a smile not visible under his dorky surgical mask) and nodded in acknowledgment at Arsenopyrite. Maybe he wouldn't get that bad of a talking-to...? WC: 201 (384)

DMS Super MithraMithra could feel herself becoming a bit twitchy. Of course it had to be a hologram. Nothing to punch. She felt like she could feel the same aura of disappointment from somewhere, and looked around to see if she could find it. Princess Leto! Well at least there was someone here whom she liked, though she liked most DMS she had met so far. She had heard what the princess had said, and Mithra wished they could kill this creature at this point.
Maybe they could go and get some dynamite and just blow the **** out of this place. That might make Mithra feel a bit better about all of this.
She had seen her boyfriend in the crowd, but she did not acknowledge him, and she was sure that he was doing the same. They may have both been chaos, but they were still on opposing sides.
So instead she decided to do the dumb smart thing to do and ask the stupid hologram a question. "So I'm going to guess it's in your programming to go and 'contain' interesting things in the interest of whomever built you. Now, if you believe us to be 'intelligent' like you said, why would you EVER think that we would somehow just willingly go into your containers with no explanation, after trying to kill each of us a couple of times, and then acting like you're SURPRISED that we didn't want it?! Where you come from, can I assume that your creators just go and take things whether those 'things' have objected or not?"
Probably a dumb question, but she needed to get everyone on the same page that this thing was not friendly.

General Benitoite HP: 70/70
Looking to Acubens he gave a nod of the head. "Yes...it's best if we stand back and observe and learn." He spoke in a whisper, his slate eyes turning to the knight he'd managed to bring with him. "Keep silent and listen, it's best we learn...it may help in the future." Whether that future be sometime tonight or another time, possibly days or weeks from now, it didn't matter. it was time to learn.
As he stood there he listened to it as this hologram, as it said it was, answered the questions of others. Some of the questions were interesting, others were somewhat expected but also alarming to an extent.
"I don't like the sound of deconstruction..." He whispered for the small group to hear. "While this hologram is not vicious...this thing as a whole seems to be....or maybe neutral in that it doesn't do things to be malicious...but rather to break things apart. I do wonder what for." He would ask if he wasn't busy paying attention. He didn't want to risk giving anything up to this thing, if that was possible.
"Do you think we should ask what it does with materials?" He questioned Acubens, his slate eyes glancing over to her as he continued in his whispered voice. "Oh...and there is one of yours." The general stated as he pointed to what was most certainly a dark mirror senshi...a rather clueless one, who was also first stage. "You should hurry over and get him - bring him here." To keep safe.

DMC Itokawa HP: He still didn't know what he'd just been through, didn't understand it all, he knew he'd gone through some sort of...game but this game hurt, at least some people. He hadn't suffered too much. Maybe it was just because he didn't understand much of the language that he didn't feel as he should? It was a high possibility that he was being calm simply because he didn't understand everything.
It was when he heard the half person, as he didn't know it was a hologram, speak in a language other than English that he spoke up as well - questioning it. "คุณพูดภาษาไทยหรือไม่?" Would it understand what he said, it would be easier for him if it spoke Thai as well as whatever else it spoke, so he could perhaps understand what was going on as well.
Standing there, away from everyone else, he was clearly a loner and he had a feeling that right here and now that wasn't safe...but he also didn't know anyone here. "ถ้าคุณทำเช่นนั้นฉันสูญเสียสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น ดังนั้นฉันขอโทษถ้าคุณได้ตอบคำถามนี้แล้ว แต่สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น?" He had been watching everyone, everything, and listening to what was going on but only some of it did he understand.

DMS Super Ptolemaeus: 20 (+ 40 from restoration pad) = 60/60
Finally, 'Unit Alpha' as it might have been calling itself, seemed to falter and its words became distorted. What seemed to be its last attempt to subdue them materialized as one more electrical beam that burned its way through the ceiling. Glancing from the damage done to the entity that caused it, Ptolemy saw it slowly disintegrate into static until that, too, dissipated. He stared, dazed and bewildered, as their group eventually heard a new, female voice that bade them continue onward through a new aperture that opened before them. More tests?
Though he had been a little slower than others to enter the next room, Ptolemy limped gingerly to a wall and listened in silence as he regarded the central figure which soon introduced itself - herself? - as Biological Interface Unit Delta. The sight of her drew a weary grin from him. Of course it would look like a child.
He continued to observe and keep his ears open as the super dragged himself toward the restoration pad that had been offered to them, curious as to how it worked. To his surprise, there were already a few familiar faces there. And if that hadn't been enough, those of his court were keeping interesting, less familiar company which included a general and a giant monster bird youma. More of his teeth slowly revealed themselves as his smile broadened.
Ptolemy nodded to the other Dark Mirror Senshi, not wanting to speak over or interrupt any of the verbal exchanges going on between Delta and the room's multitude of other occupants. By the looks of things, they must have all faced similar, if not the same, trials in other sections of the obelisk. As he noted this and the injuries sustained, the young man did his best to mentally keep track of the questions being asked aloud and answers given.
Speaking of Dark Mirror Senshi...was that Princess Leto? And come to think of it...he wondered where Lumen was and how he was doing. He imagined the younger sailor scout would have had the sense to come to the restoration pad once he became aware of it and was able to make his way over. Just in case he was having difficulty, however, Ptolemaeus kept en eye out for him.
In doing so, he noticed two other court members who he guessed must have been new. There was a young lady and a young man. The latter had glasses and had chosen to speak up after the previous round of questions had been asked. He sounded as though he were inquiring in...was that Thai? Ptolemy smirked and leaned back on his arms, impressed.

Acubens was getting a head ache. All of this information flooding into her and she understood all of the words that were being said separately, but when they were strung into sentences they lost meaning. It was only when Mithra appeared that she finally cracked a small smile. So comforted was she by the presence of someone familiar that she didn't even mind the youma bird picking at her hair. "Glad I'm not the only one who sees the similarities," she muttered. After Mithra came the powerful aura of a familiar Royal, and Acubens nearly lit up. Leto, visible even from across the room resplendent in her royal form. An invisible burden on Acubens' shoulder lifted. And she had Crocus, thank god. So Mithra was accounted for -- and firing questions of her own, though Acubens would have preferred her stay silent -- Crocus was safe, Abstracta was by her side... she was still missing Kiuchi, Logos, Kissling, Sinope and Ptolemy... Oh wait nope... there was Ptolemy, limping over and while panic rose in Acubens throat, she tamped it down. There would be time to worry over him later.. For now she continued to look for the others... if they had even been called at all... were no where to be seen. And she hoped to gods that they hadn't been. The general speaking to Acubens cut though her search. "One of mine?" She cast her gaze around again, widening her search until her eyes landed on a rather lost looking young fellow. She pressed Abstracta and Mithra to the General and stated simply, "if anything happens to them while I'm gone I will peel your skin off with my fingernails. Ptolemy, you're in charge." And then she was gone, giving the two ladies a brief squeeze of the arm to ensure them that she would be back once she had gathered her newest charge. "Hey there," she muttered when she was in ear shot. Slipping her hand gently into his she sidled up next to him and smiled. "I'm Acubens... someone like you. Why don't you slide over here with us... safety in numbers?"

Phaethon followed the others into the room at somewhat of a distance, eyes casting from one corner to the next, taking everything in and hoping that they would get a chance to-- Well, at least this one was friendly...? He hoped? He didn't need any kind of healing, having miraculously escaped injury despite his utter inexperience and incompetence in a fight. Throwing rocks? In retrospect, it seemed very silly. He was a bit embarrassed, though mollified by the thought that it was unlikely any of the others had taken any especial note of him. At least, he hoped they hadn't. He didn't think anyone was looking at him, at any rate. As people talked to the... hologram... alright... sure, Phaethon saw from his position off to the side of the room someone sitting over on the floor, a man that looked quite worse for the wear. He wasn't looking at him, but he had enough of his wits still about him to not approach this person from behind. It ended up with him making an awkward circle around, but at least he got there. He began to rub his hands together before it occurred to him that he probably shouldn't just... touch the guy. At least, not without explaining what he was doing, right? "I, uh, can take the edge off? Help you to the... thing?" he made a vague gesture towards the healing pad. Phaethon wasn't going to bother talking to the hologram. The "where are we and when can we go home" questions seemed to have been taken care of, and to be honest the whole thing really creeped him out.

Corrupt Sailor Fafnir - HP: 47 It was wildly disconcerting to go from battling a giant, violent beast to being calmly asked to 'Step this way please' by a soft, feminine voice. At first, Fafnir was convinced their captor had finally decided to show herself... themself? and he'd sidled along after the others, grabbing Sweetite's hand to tug her gently along after him.
The... hologram that met them was strange and vaguely horrifying, like someone (some thing?) figured the only comforting thing they needed was a head and shoulders, and left off the rest as immaterial. Who needed legs, right? A disembodied head was fine... And while pleasantly answering their questions, he couldn't shake the feeling there was more to this.
Why solve puzzles just to be 'contained'? Why, when monsters and brute force failed, offer something that wasn't even tangible? Why answer questions from things you planned to take apart down to their more useful components? Why any of it? It as inefficient at best, insane at worst, and he disliked it intensely. There was enough about this damn war that didn't make any ******** sense, he really didn't care for more weird s**t.
The questions being lobbied at the... thing were all about IT and about why It had attacked them, and honestly, the more he listened the more he only wanted the answer to one ******** idiots... who cares about any of that?
"What does any of that matter?" He shouted over the others as he stepped forward a bit, keeping what distance he could from the other members of Order. It was a comfort that there were other dark uniforms in this larger group, which he assumed had gone through the same nonsense they had. It made him feel bolder, more confident that the Negaverse wasn't as outnumbered as it had seemed when it was just the two of them.
"How do we get out of here?"
There had to be more to this... if containment failed, why send a hologram that couldn't do anything?
