Koschei the youma

The walls and flooring appeared to change and Koschei, being a bird was gifted the ability to fly and that's exactly what he did when the area around him turned funny. His head cocked, eyes blinking in a shuttering succession, and his wings flapped to keep his sheer mass in the sky.

"Looks like a riddle!" He cawed, the strange voice sounding gleeful as he swooped around the heads of the gathered.

In particular, he kept dipping close to the green and gold clad senshi (Altais) and the page with all the glistening things (Chauvet).

He seemed to be rather cheerful, as much as a giant bird youma could be of course, about the whole trapped and everyone was suffering sort of thing.

His beak opened and he cawed loudly.

It basically translated to caw caw ******** I'm a bird

Bernard

Bernard had mostly been sitting there grumpily, wondering if any of the people present might have some food on them, when suddenly the room began to shake. Bernard dug his claws into the floor as well as he could, but it seemed that it was his weight that somehow managed to keep him in place. But the place was definitely starting to move around, and he was happy that he was a cat when the lights went out. Sure, there were still some showing, but his cat night-vision was a lot more helpful than just a few sources of light here and there!

But there was a bit too much going on for him all to take in, and he could only try to grip the floor tightly, hoping that it would be all over soon. And it was over soon enough, but as he finally found the will to move, he realized something. The room was starting to spin! He tried to carefully make his way over, though he really couldn't tell where he was supposed to be going at this point. If he was still on Earth it would be easier, but clearly they weren't anymore.

As the room still spun, Bernard yelled out, "I did not ask to be on a roller coaster!" He was puffed out as far as his fur could go, and almost looked like a second cat. At this point, unless everyone else decided to attack, it seemed that they were stuck working together.

Chauvet knew better than to question the writing on the wall--when the floor was shaking and a door opened up, you went through that door, even if it was just to get the hell out of dodge. She liked the next room better anyways--it had bigger ceilings, another door (progress!) and it was away from the bigger chaos people and giant demon raven who looked like it would eat her ball and then her and laugh about it.

"Last one to the door's a nerd," she called out to the collected assembly, gathering her skirts in preparation for a healthy race. However, two steps into her jog and the floor pulled out from under her, sending her careening into a taser wall complete with actual tasing. The Cosmos page slumped to the ground and groaned, her hair standing a little more on end for her efforts.

It looked like she was going to be the nerd this time.

He heard a page ask where they were, and turned over his shoulder, replying, "I think we're actually in the monument..."

When he had to catch his balance, he realized that the room had decided to start shaking now, because of course Was the monument just going to collapse on them? Encke glanced up when he heard the noises, but was relieved to find nothing was actually breaking apart. What was happening, then? Why was it getting so dim?

What was burning?

Were they going to fry in here? Was that it? Did they get summoned to a strange monument just to get sucked into it and fried?

In just a few moments, they were suddenly in a new room, or at least, the room they were in got bigger and quite possibly more dangerous.

Definitely more dangerous. The floor was moving. Great.

He saw a couple people careen unfortunately, and gave a sympathetic wince. Before he went running, he decided to stand still for a moment and gain his balance. He did parkour, sometimes. This couldn't be too bad. Just needed to stabilize himself before he got moving.

What did that door even lead to?

His thoughts were cut off when he noticed that another senshi's attack seemed to somehow ... slow the floor. Oh. This was definitely the time to make his sprint, then. He nearly leaped from his position, dashing across the floor effortlessly. Encke's feet barely touched the floor as his skipped from safe area to safe area, eyes on the prize (of the unknown door, was that really a prize?). Once he settled, he turned around and observed the others in the room.

"Now might be the time to try to run!"

In case that wasn't obvious.

When addressed, Koschei's head swiveled in Altais' direction, the gaze narrowing slightly as his head tilted until it was nearly upside down. The look on the bird youma's face, or what was distinguishable rather, was one of is that what you think?

Luckily for the super senshi his magic was a good deterant for the youma who had dived, intending on stealing the headband from his head, only to have to pull back up into the air with an irritable caw.

Sailor Nix
(I suppose I didn't actually need to roll since we hit target point, but dang it, I wanted to see how well Nix did! razz )

Nix had gone and licked the big monument a few days ago, which really only definitively told him one thing: Getting licked by his magic tongue felt really weird.

He had been thinking about it again when he'd decided to go look some more...but then things got really weird. He wasn't exactly sure what happened, all he really knew for sure was that now he was inside the thing. And there were a bunch of people around, including a General (oh dear), and...a clearly very strong knight. Neither of whom he knew.

In fact, he only recognized a Lieutenant here, and a cat--Bernard!

While he was getting his bearings, though, people started moving forward (and not fighting, which was...something, though he wasn't entirely sure why they weren't). A big room, with a door. Out, maybe? Immediately, though, there was a problem...everything was swirling, spinning, and generally being quite horrible to handle.

Luckily, though, Nix's constant training at running, jumping, and dodging rapidly seemed to help him quite a bit with this. He jumped, rolled, and managed to not make a complete fool of himself as he hopped his way across the whirling madness.

All the same, it was hugely disorienting. "I wanna get off Mr. Stone's wild ride!" he declared at one point as the room seemed to jig him into botching a landing.

Without really thinking about it, Nix turned to help Paracelsian get past the spinning nonsense of the place..although his help wasn't actually needed, so he just waved back. "Hey there," Nix replied. "Don't suppose you know what's going on here?"

In response to the Knight, he added, "I think everybody made it across alright...that was kind of fun, honestly..." He grinned at that a brief moment, then added, "Don't wanna do it again, though!"
