Good man? Phaedra lifted a brow at that one. She wanted so badly to comment but decided to keep it to herself. Bushi was still on very thin ice with her. Mostly due to the fact that he'd kept something so important hidden from her. Even more so since it was a part of who her lover was. "If anything happens to our children Bushi... I can't promise I won't hurt someone." Or at the very least try to. She might be gentle most days but if anyone messed with her kids she turned rough real quick. Her mood seemed to drop even more as Bushi mentioned something about where they were going. If he thought it was bad then surely it had to be. And this man, this good man, thought he deserved gifts? If her lover was in her head he would likely fall over dead from the rants she had going through her mind. Phae looked at the crate she held, debating on whether or not to put it back down. "Now I'm not so sure I want to be nice." It would be best for Dovian if she were though. So she looked at Bushi again. "You had better lead the way before I decide to bring my trident instead."

Bushi gave his Sprite a glance, opening his mouth to say 'you mean hurt someone again' but the words didn't escape him. Instead he closed his mouth, considered her words, then said, "So long as I deal with the fines coming my way then I'm sure everything will work out." He said finally, deciding that he really should try to put her heart at ease. He couldn't help but to wonder though about said fines, what they would be, how high, what his past actions would do to balance them out, and so on.
As she mentioned that she didn't want to be nice he gave a slight wince, then said, "Yes, no reason to put this off any longer." With that he turned on his heel, leading the way first to where he left the twins and called out, "Shura, Dovian, we are heading out now." With that he turned and headed for the door. The sooner that they got to the Janarim's Skull the sooner they could talk with Hestian and be done with all of this bad business. Once it became just water under the bridge then they would all be able to continue with life as usual.

"Guess we'll just have to see how things go." She said with a slight shrug of one shoulder, not really sure one way or the other how she was going to react to the current situation. She didn't much care for the idea that some stranger was going to try to mess with her brother. She was the only one that was allowed to get away with that sort of thing. It kind of annoyed her... but at the same time she worried that if he did get in trouble that it would kind of be his own fault. He had stolen something after all and when it came down to it that was a bad thing to do. What if it had been a guard that had caught him? Wouldn't he have been arrested or something? The idea of her poor brother sitting alone in a jail cell like a common criminal really didn't sit all that well with him. It was in fact something that made her want to scream! Not that she would. Instead her racing thoughts were thrown completely off the rails as he mentioned her going to to sit with Anhalo. There was a long moment where she starred at he brother, hard, before lifting a hand to give him a little flick in the forehead, "I'm not abandoning you, Dovi. So don't bother trying to get me to do so. Got it?" Glancing to the side she spotted there parents and hopped to her feet, "Alright, time to get going, Dovi."

She noticed that he opened his mouth to say something and she stopped to look at him. Since he seemed to think better of his words she narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously. Phaedra now wondered what exactly had been going through his mind. "I hope the fines aren't too large." She still didn't understand how Bushi's world worked.
Once he started to lead the way she followed, her small crate in hand. If they waited too much longer then the treats would be cold and not taste as yummy as they were intended to. Phae looked at her two children and smiled as if they were simply going out for a family night. "Shura, sweetie, make sure to keep an eye on your brother." Which was mom code for 'hit anyone who tries to hurt him.'

The flick to his forehead made him flinch and he moved his head back while scrunching up his nose. "Really Shu?" But despite his words there was a hint of a smile there. At least being picked on by his sister was still normal. Once he caught sight of their parents he seemed to lose the smile, thinking that it was too serious to make them think he was playing around. He was on his feet about the same time as his sibling was, but he hadn't popped up with any sort of enthusiasm. "Here we go..." As his mother told his twin to keep an eye on him he secretly rolled his eyes. "Uhm.. Dad? Does everyone have to go?" Which was more or less him trying to figure out why their mother had to go. Shura he already knew wasn't going to back down. But when he'd learned about his dad's other life it had appeared like he didn't want mom to know. So why was she tagging along now? "I was also wondering why I have to apologize. I didn't steal from your boss."

"I'm hoping the same but I am willing to pay whatever fines are required of me." If it meant keeping his family safe and together he felt that whatever Hestian asked for would be more then fair. There were just so many factors to take in that he couldn't help but to wonder what his boss might be thinking at the moment. Was he doing what Bushi was presently doing, which was going over the figures in his head. Well, projected figures at least. He couldn't really guess at exactly what Hestian might be thinking after all, the man was on a whole other level then what Bushi did for work.
Looking over at Dovian as he asked he gave a slight sigh, "Not all of us have to go but one of us in particular volunteered. A good thing since your mother wants her to keep an eye on you." It might be for the best that Shura played the role of bodyguard, if only to put Phaedra and Dovian at ease with everything that was going on at the moment. Whatever made this go more smoothly he thought to himself as he headed out of the restaurant, leading the way to where they would be meeting up with Laine first, followed by Hestian.
"Why? Half because you were taking things in his territory and half as a formality. If you apologize then he will see that as you acting in a mature fashion despite what you did and will look more favorably upon the situation as a whole." He explained in a hushed tone, not wanting just anyone to hear what he was saying.

Shura gave her mother a smile and a little salute as she was put in charge of looking after Dovian, "Of course, Mom! I wouldn't just abandon him because he got himself into a little trouble." If anything this was the exact reason that she'd trained as hard as she had. She wanted to protect him no matter what after all. Giving Dovian a little nudge and a smile she fell into step next to him, seemingly keeping an eye out as they walked just in case. As they went Dovian set to asking their father questions and getting answers, something she was glad to hear. She was kind of glad to hear that their father was answering his the questions seriously because it meant that they could at least figure out where they might stand going forward. Well... more like where Dovian might stand but still, it was important to Shura that she understand what was going on as well. Ahhh, so it was a territorial thing? Heh, poor Dovian... the first time he tried to act outside the law and he did so in the worst possible place. No, wait... maybe Awat would have been worse since it was a small place and everyone knew him. So the second worst place that he could have gotten himself into trouble in. It made her want to pat him on the head but she refrained, wanting to at least appear like a serious bodyguard for the time being.

Phaedra made sure to keep her attention on the conversation in case she needed to know anything. As she learned that Hestian more or less wanted the apology from her son as a show she seemed to dislike the man even more. The things that went through her mind were not exactly pleasant. Phae did keep them all to herself though. She didn't think her children needed to know what she was thinking, nor did Bushi for that matter. It would likely make him stare at her with wide eyes.
Moving her green gaze to her daughter she smiled at her. "Thank you sweetie. Remind me to take you shopping later." Mostly as a reward for being so brave for her brother but also because Phaedra herself wanted to get something for her daughter. It had been a while since she'd had time alone with Shura. "Dovian, did you remember to bring your gift?" Might as well make sure they were all prepared for what was coming.

He caught his sister saluting out of the corner of his eyes and gave a small groan. Leave it to Shura to actually enjoy being put in charge of him. When she nudged him he snorted and gave her a gentle shove. "I should make you go sit with Anhalo." Not that he could but it would be fun to try. As his dad started to answer his questions he gave his full attention. So it was because he had taken something inside the man's territory? He supposed it made sense. There were animals that attacked others for hunting in their space. Dovian supposed he should be lucky he wasn't attacked.. well, he sorta was but not by Hestian. As he thought about it Dovi moved one hand to his side and traced over the scar he now had. Since he was dark skinned like their dad the scar stood out as a slightly pinker hue than his twins skin tone. In the midst of his thoughts he heard his mother ask if he had remembered to bring his gift. He nodded his head before answering, "Yes, I have it." Not that he was at all happy about handing it over but he figured it was for the best.

The walk to where they were going was a fairly quick one, though it took them from the more reputable parts of the area to one that was slightly less so. Upon spotting the sign which was just that of the bar's namesake along with the written out name as well Bushi pointed, "We will be meeting with Hestian there." He paused glanced at Phaedra, then said, "Well, not there exactly. We are going in through a side door into the back room. That way we won't actually have to take the twins through the bar." Best to reassure her or else she might end up in a worse mood.
Looking around for a moment he spotted Laine before lifting a hand, waving at the woman. The Oban woman pushed away from where she was standing and moved over to join them, "Wonderful, you're all here. The Boss is ready for you any time." She said, moving to lead them through the alleyway and to a side door. After knocking in a specific manner she opened the door and motioned to the group, "Head on in, I will stand watch here."
Bushi nodded his head, "Thank you, Laine." He said before heading in first. The back room was lit with the low light of a couple torches and Hestian sat in a seat behind a desk, on the other side of which stood three seats. It seemed he was definitely not expecting a fourth visitor. The man looked nothing like Shura guessed him to look. In fact if nobody knew better they would just expect him to be a father or grandfather given his amiable look and greying hair.
Bushi moved to take the middle seat and said, "Shura, stand behind your brother."

Shura looked around as they walked, giving a little whistle as they headed toward a building with a rather interesting sign, "Huh, the meeting is in a dive bar?" That wasn't what she expected, but at the same time she supposed it made sense for a criminal master mind to work out of such a place. She found herself trying to peek in the windows as they went by, curious as to what was going inside when she spotted the woman that was approaching them. She found herself starring for a moment, taking in the woman's look. She had a lot of muscle, a stern expression, and a shaved head. She looked pretty cool if she had to say so herself and she found herself wondering what her job might be in the guild her father worked in. If they were in the situation they were in she might have asked. Instead she decided to focus on looking after Dovian. Though once they'd headed into the back room her attention was pulled away from him and to the man behind the desk... and she could only stare. That was her father's boss? The one that they were all so worried to meet with? This wasn't what she was expecting at all and she couldn't help but to be a tad disappointed. As she was told to stand behind Dovian she nodded, moving to standing behind one of the seats, "Sit here, Dovi."

Dovian paused as he saw where it was they were going. His eyes, ones that mimicked his mother's color, looked at his dad with shock. Was he really going to take them in there!? Not just him and Shura but their sweet mom too? Dovian looked skyward and prayed that his mother didn't have to deal with anyone bad.
As another woman approached and started to speak he looked from her to his dad then to his mom before finally landing on his sister. Dovian wished he was anywhere but there at the moment. Still, he followed Bushi in and when he noticed the three chairs he looked around for a fourth. He didn't come to lay eyes on the guy behind the desk until he had determined that there was no fourth chair. As Shura told him where to sit he said nothing and just moved to take his seat. For now he would stay quiet and wait to see what happened. Not to mention he really wasn't all that sure what to do.

When they reached where they were going all Phaedra could do was stare at Bushi. The look on her face said she was less than thrilled to take her children to a questionable bar. Still, she didn't say anything. When Shura said something she turned her attention to her daughter. "Shura. That's enough. We don't need you insulting anyone and getting into trouble as well." While her words were stern her tone was not. Phaedra looked at the woman that came closer and then lead them to the side door. Bushi seemed to know her so the leaf woman wasn't all that worried. When the woman, who she found out was named Laine, said she would stand watch she paused. Bushi and her children entered as she stood there for a second. Was it really needed to have someone keep watch? Just what had Bushi gotten them all into? "Thank you." Phae spoke to Laine politely before following her family inside. She entered the same time she heard Shura tell Dovian where to sit and so Phaedra took the last empty seat. Keeping the small crate on her lap she looked at the man behind the desk. She was doing everything in her power to remain calm on the outside because inside she was a ranting mess. All she wanted to do was grab her children and leave but until things were settled she needed to stay put.

Hestian gave the group a once over as they came to sit down before him, one more of them present then he'd been expecting. It appeared as though Bushi's second child had tagged along as well? He starred a moment before his deep red eyes dropped to the papers that were settled down before him, papers that he shuffled through once more as he considered what he was going to say.
"Busy day the other day, Bushi." He said as he finally looked up from the papers he'd been eyeing. He gave a thoughtful hum before he began, "Stealing in my territory without permission from the guild, attacking a fellow member, assuring said member wouldn't be returning to work, fighting in the streets, and otherwise causing a ruckus." He looked at each person present save for Shura, not seeing her as a part of all of this presently. Giving a shake of his head he set the papers aside and then seemed to consider the other half of things.
"On the other hand we have Gorvis laying hands on a protected family, trying to recruit a child without permission from the parents or instruction from myself, stabbing a child, and trying to forcefully recruit a... and I reading this right, a cook?" He blinked a couple times, then shook his head, "On top of that there was the deal between the two of us, Bushi, as well as my in with Matori that is on the line because of the infraction of said deal." If he lost that then his dreams of a Matorian wife at his side would never come true! Not something he meant to risk.
After he shuffled through the papers he finally said, "I suppose with all things considered you will pay the fine equal to that of someone buying their way out of the guild, and I will have assurances that if your son wishes to try his hands at the craft again that he will come to me first. I can't have just anyone running about snagging things or the whole system breaks down, not to mention I can't protect people from the guards if I don't even know their working the beat. It would also be a service if you would allow the members of the guild to eat at your restaurant, Miss Bushi, as they are always looking for safe havens in which to hang out that also have good food."
Bushi, who had remained silent to this point, nodded his head. Getting to his feet he retrieved a bag of coin from his pocket, and set it on the desk in front of Hestian, "The price for 'buying out' Gorvis as well as a tribute that I feel is fair. We did cause you a lot of trouble. The last thing we want is to give you a heart attack, boss."
"You did make a valiant attempt at giving me heart problems. Not to mention that I should very well punish you for bribing Mera as you did... but at the same time I can understand why it was done. I wouldn't have stood by and allowed my child, any of them, to get harmed in such a way either." Just thinking about it made the older man's nose wrinkle a bit before he set to counting through the coin quickly that had been offered to him.

Shura lifted an eyebrow as the man set to talking, explaining both sides of what had happened that day, a lot of which she'd missed hearing about. So they got themselves into that much trouble while she was off shopping around the marketplace? That was actually surprising, never having really pictured her family as being capable of such things. She'd seen them as her cook mother, merchant father, and naive brother, nothing more. To think they could all get into trouble. It was really something for sure. As the man mentioned the fine that would result she found herself wondering what a buy out price was exactly, but didn't ask. Given the bag of coin their father handed over, along with a 'tribute' she could only stare. That seemed like quite a bit... but what did she know? She wasn't really all that well versed in that sort of thing. Leaning over she rested her hands on the back of Dovian's seat before giving him a little nudge. While they were giving tributes wasn't Dovian supposed to do that as well? If so she found herself wondering exactly what he was going to offer up. She hadn't asked but she was really, really curious since this was their dad's boss after all. Surely it had to be good, right? "Go ahead, Dovi." She murmured before looking ahead once more, keeping an eye on the man that had been talking to the lot of them.
