Bushi slowed a bit as she rounded on him, demanding 'why' before then yelling the same question. He shook his head before he contineud to follow along after her after she asked if he didn't trust before before she started to walk away again, "It wasn't so much about trust as... fear? You were all I ever wanted and I didn't think you want anything to do with me if you knew what I was, what I am."

Quickening his pace he reached out to catch hold of her wrist, almost certain now that she was going to leave if he didn't try to stop her. If she left, if she took the twins, then he would have nothing and he would be nothing. His family was his everything, to the point that he wished he was what they had thought him to be. To be a legit merchant wasn't what his contacts were set up for but he still tried to be that way at least where he could.

Bushi looked down at Phaedra as she set to work pummeling his chest and he gave a nod of his head, "I am all of those things and likely many more." He agreed, giving her time to take her emotions out on him even if it meant possible bruises. Once he saw the opening he lifted his arms, wrapping them around her, and hugged her closer. After a moment he rested his head against hers, letting his eyes close as he breathed in her scent.

To this point he'd been running from place to place, getting in two separate tussles with Gorvis, and now that he was standing here in the aftermath he was exhausted. He just wanted to collapse on the spot but knew he couldn't, instead he said, "We should collect the twins and go check into an inn, I don't really think any of us are up for the trip back to Awat. If you would prefer I can get myself a separate room... though I'd rather stay with the lot of you." If she allowed it at least, he wasn't going to push it if he thought she would get upset with him for doing so. Best that he do as he was told at the moment.

"I'd never suggest such a thing." Though the idea of her not cooking for him was the icing on top of an already terrible day. Still, he had a feeling that it was for the best. He'd just see about picking up something for the lot of them to eat instead of forcing Phaedra to cook. Especially given she'd already done enough carving up of something today... A thought he shoved aside and moved to walk with her.

As she mentioned him being single if he suggested separate rooms again he nodded, "If you're certain." He said, glad that she wasn't banishing him from her side. He was lucky in at least that aspect. Now, here was to hoping they would be blessed by On'os and able to find the twins in a swift manner so they could all see about closing up shop and heading to an inn to rest and recuperate after the day they'd all had.
