Zigaran's antennae gave a bit of a twitch upon seeing that the girl could use magic of all things. Yeah, she was definitely what he'd thought her to be, which wasn't a warrior of Aisha or really a warrior at all. At least the magic explained why she'd gotten this far though when she didn't really appear as though she was meant to be in Jauhar in the first place. Her mother had to of sheltered her up until now for her to end up in such a state. A weird though if her mother was an Alkidike warrior. Why would she let her child end up in such a state? A thought that he shook off deciding it was none of his business. For all he knew she could have been raised by her Matorian parent or something. As she commented about going first to Emeka and then on to the Chibale Isles he couldn't help but to given a shrug, "You do that." No reason to stop her when he was in no way related to her or invested in her. Giving a whistle Zigaran called the chiavi down from where she was perching in the tree, handing her a treat as well since she hadn't gotten one from the girl. Not to mention she'd done well in killing that giant centipede. She might as well be praised and rewarded for such good work.

When the earthling boys started cat calling her as she got closer Masika felt her nerve drop. Yep, she didn't have the nerve to continue on. So she stopped and turned around to walk back toward where the stalker was. He might be insulting but at least he wasn't trying to rob her. Or calling her cutie.
"Awh! Where ya going cutie?" The boys laughed as they followed after her.
Masika picked up her pace until she had made it back to Zigaran and cleared her throat. "Maybe you would like to point an arrow at them... please." Her eyes went toward the trio who still didn't seem all that concerned with there being two of them. Once she was close enough she rounded Zigaran and stood behind him. Masika gently reached a hand out to touch the boy's shoulder blade, letting him know that she was there. In her mind she was being polite be doing so.
Maybe, if she were lucky, the arrow would be enough to sway them? Provided, of course, that Zigaran did point one at them.

"Almost free." He muttered, confused as to what the girl wanted and why she'd come back to him. A moment later she wasn't just standing there near him she was ducking behind him, one hand resting on his shoulder. He shrugged the hand off before he looked forward toward whatever it was that she wanted him to 'point arrows at' and he found himself starring at a trio of Earthlings of Shifter decent if he had to guess. One looked like he might have some mixed blood, possibly Oba, but who knew for sure. Giving a snort he muttered, "And people wonder why we aren't best friends with the Earthlings." If they acted like this around their own he could only imagine how they would act toward those that weren't. Shaking his head he said, "I'm going back to Emeka, those idiots won't follow unless they are wanting to look like they are invading an Alkidike village." Why waste an arrow on a bunch of idiots that were thinking with the wrong head after all. Snapping his fingers he said, "Sidrys, Dinis, and... girl, we are leaving." He lifted a hand to draw an arrow, notching it, before he turned and started to head back toward home with his beasts following and Masika given permission to follow if she wanted to. As they walked he said, "We are going to split up before we get there." He wasn't walking into Emeka with her, he'd never live it down.

"Oy, look at that. He found a new pet!"
The comment came after Zigaran snapped his fingers and mentioned for his beasts and her to follow. Masika ignored it, though it did bother her, and moved so that she could catch up to the boy. He was taller than her and his legs longer so she had to move a bit quicker. "Wait.." She did what she could to collect her skirt so that it wouldn't get caught on anything as she moved along then with her free hand she grabbed onto Ziga's arm. Walking as though he were her escort.
"You could have scared them off you know. You're intimidating enough." Of course she'd meant that as a compliment. Plus, it wasn't like the trio was really up to any good. So no one would blame him for scaring them. And if they did then Masika would defend him. Honestly though, if she had tried to be intimidating it wouldn't have worked. As the boy said that they would split up before making it to the village she frowned but gave a nod. It was one thing to be looked down at by an earthling or a full blooded alk, but to have the same reaction from someone who was.. like her.. it hurt. "I'll stay long enough to see if my mother is there and then I'll leave. I won't mention you to anyone either."

Zigaran gave a nod of his head, "I could have, I also likely could have shot each of them at least once before they were able to react. I could have, but I won't. The Mystic Eshe seems to think that the best way to go about dealing with the Dretch is to team up with the Earthlings. I won't risk messing up her plan just because bunch of immature brats were failing to pick a fight with me." How nice it would have been to shoot an arrow at them though. He was certain his mother would have been quite upset though, both of them actually. Giving a nod of his head he said, "Sounds good. I hope for your sake that she is there, it will make it easier for you I'm sure." It would also mean that she wouldn't have to try to go to the Chibale Isles. He had a feeling that security was only going to tighten after the news that Mystic Eshe shared with everyone during the meeting. He couldn't imagine it being easy for anyone but the most loyal sisters to get back and forth these days.

"Fair point." These days it wasn't like anyone really got involved in anyone else's problems. Unless it was her mother. Dem helped out where she could. Masika just supposed that the boy would have let her be harassed if she hadn't walked back toward him. It didn't do much in the way of how she viewed him, as she felt more insulted by him than anything. In fact he made her wish she was back at home, possibly even in Matori.
As she continued to keep pace with him she was struck by her clumsiness yet again. This time taking a misstep that would lead her to grip a bit tighter on his arm as her weight was added and leaned against him. Masika made a small sound of pain but continued to walk. "Do you think you could walk a bit slower?" And what happened to the trail? Or was this the trail? Trees and roots and branches everywhere. Masika really wished she was in Oba where the streets were clearly defined and clean. The girl's hand moved from his forearm to his upper arm (bicep area) as she focused a bit more on where her feet were going and needed that extra security to make sure she didn't fall or lose her way. "I'm not really used to walking through the woods."

Zigaran gave a little hiss as the girl grabbed hold of his arm, wanting to knock her away with a shove... but instead of doing so he took a deep breath, silently begged Aisha for patience, and then turned to look at the girl, "You should walk a bit faster. Especially if we are wanting to stay ahead of those idiots." Not that he saw them at the moment, maybe they'd fallen and gotten tangle in the roots of the trees, that would be nice. "Hn..." She wasn't used to walking in the woods? He wanted to declare his complete shock over that but he didn't say that out loud. Instead he turned around to face her, reaching out catch hold of her by the waist, and put her down on Dinis's back, "Stay right there." Once she was in place he gave a sharp whistle and started forward again, with Dinis following along after him, not seemingly bothered by the new passenger that he had. He wasn't Zigaran's future mount but he had carried the hybrid around from time to time in the past. At least until Zigaran got too big to be carried around easily. Masika was easy to carry for the radaku since she was much smaller in height and weight. "Once we get back to the path to the village you can hop off and walk yourself in."

Walk faster? Any faster and she would be running! Masika was about to say as much when the boy moved to face her casing her to almost collide with him. She squeaked as she came face to face with his chest then tilted her head back to look up at him. Zigaran was easily a head taller than her, if not more. "What's wr-- Eeek!!" Clearly she was not accustomed to being picked up at random. Her hands went to his arms as she felt her legs sway. Being off the ground wasn't something she was used to.
At being set down on the radaku she pouted. The boy could have asked rather than simply taking it upon himself to place her there. Masika opened her mouth to say as much but was quieted when Ziga told her to stay. Did he really just...? Masika took a deep breath and looked away from him, holding onto the beast as it moved. "Thank you...." At least he hadn't told her to get lost. Although she could have done that just as easily. He'd taken her off the path and without it she didn't know which direction she was going.

Zigaran fell into silence as they headed back toward where Emeka was located, wanting to get them back there. As he went he kept his eyes on the terrain around them and his ears open, wanting to get back as swiftly as possible. Between that trio of idiots and this girl, as well as the Dretch threat on top of it, he felt that maybe now wasn't the time to be hunting. He would have to see about buying meat for Dinis and Sidrys instead, though he hated to do so since he didn't get the best prices on things. He supposed that he could always ask his mother Mahaut for help though. After an extended silence he found himself looking over at her as she thanked him and then looked forward again, shrugging. He saw no reason for her to thank him, that would imply that he was doing something for her. The way he saw it what he was doing was more for his own benefit. He didn't want to risk ticking off any Earthlings and he didn't want to get her Alkidike mother mad at him. This was to keep his own hide intact. Only once they reached the aforementioned path did he speak again, pointing toward it, and said, "If you walk East along that path you will reach Emeka in no time. I offer no promises about the welcome you get being a friendly one." The alliance with the Earthlings might stay their hands, but he couldn't guarantee it so he didn't even say as much out loud. Once she was off Dinis he'd head out on his way, but for the time being he just stood there, waiting for her to dismount and be on her way.

When she heard him speak again she appeared to be startled. Like she hadn't expected him to say anything at all. Or like she had become once again oblivious to the world around her. Upon looking at Zigaran then to the path she frowned again and this time chewed on her bottom lip. Masika knew she had said she was alright with walking into the village separately but she did feel safer with him. While he might not be impre-, yeah ok the boy was impressive.
Her gaze went to him and seemed to linger in certain areas. From a designer stand point he was very impressive. Masika would have liked to take his measurements.
Turning away from him again she focused on getting off the Radaku's back. Whenever she rode Tanou the beast had hated her dismount since it rubbed her fur, so Masika was taking it easy as she removed herself from Dinis. Once her feet hit the ground she glanced at Zigaran again. "My welcome could be a friendly one if there was someone like me to greet me." Or at least acknowledge that she existed. As something other than a useless hybrid and non-follower of Aisha.

Standing off to one side Zigaran watched as the girl worked on getting off of Dinis's back. Once she was on her own feet the brown beast trotted back over to Zigaran, sitting at his feet. He moved to pat him on the head before his attention turned back to the girl, having expected her to go trotting off toward the village. Instead she was trying to talk him into giving her a greeting at the village? He blinked his dark eyes slowly before he said, "That's a no go." He had enough problems just being who and what he was, he wasn't about to make things worse for himself by inviting strange, random girls into the village. He'd leave her invitation into the village to those at the entrances. That was what the guards were put there for, to look after those that came and went. It wasn't his job to do so. Looking away he said, "Just go up to the village guards and ask about your mother. If she's there, good, if not then you can move on without going inside or stepping on any toes."

A no. She supposed she shouldn't have expected anything else. After all he'd made no effort to hide his dislike of her. Though she supposed she should be thankful he wasn't going out of his way to show it either. Masika stared at him for a little longer, trying to think of something to say that would convince him. Sadly, nothing came to mind. So instead she nodded her head at him said thank you and turned on heel to head the way he'd pointed.
Meeting one of the only other Alkidike and water hybrids had been... disappointing. Of course she hadn't been looking for one, as she assumed the mix was rarer than a low priced bolt of top shelf silk.
In the process of her walking away Masika managed to trip on the only rock on the trail. While she didn't outright fall she did stumble forward as though she might go down. Apparently she was really good at maintaining her balance, or what was left of it, when she tripped.

Zigaran watched a moment more as the went stumbling down the path before shaking his head and turning away. He'd have to see about walking around Emeka and going in through a different entrance. So long as that girl was nearby he couldn't take the same path as her without looking like he might be an ally to her. Lifting a hand up he pushed back some dreadlocks from his face before he started on his way around the village. "Well that was... something." He wasn't really sure what he thought about the meeting. It was interesting to see another with the same blood as him but at the same time he didn't really want to try to reach out to her. Unlike with Blondie he didn't want to try to challenge her either as she wasn't following the same path as him. It might just come off as him picking on her instead and he'd avoid doing so since they were supposed to be allying themselves with the Earthlings. He wondered for an idle moment if he might have ended up similar to her if he'd been raised by just his Water Tribe mother. A thought that he shook off, not really wanting to think on that. He'd been raised in Emeka, had been trained by his Alkidike mother, and meant to be one of Aisha's warriors. No reason to focus on the 'what ifs' at this point when there were more important things to do.
