"I'm Kira." She stated after thinking over Tzila's words and struggling not to reach out again to help more. Looking over at the biggest ship, Kira winced, wondering how long it had been going off and how fast more Boraks would arrive.

Giving up on helping Tzila, Kira turned to Kora's body, touching it with one hand and the brown sand with the other. The sand turned back to it's natural tone. As Kira picked Kora up, her body looked untouched by the Borak blade but remained lifeless.

"I need to see if what he said is true." Kira replied, hoping the Borak's words weren't meant to send her off Earth strait into another fight. "See you around." It was almost a question as Kira glided to a pod, hoping it would take her out of the atmosphere and at least to the nearest space station; if anything she knew she could use the stone to help her journey where the pod wasn't able to. Placing Kora inside, Kira looked back at Tzila who was resting but intently watching the sky.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 01, 2018 2:14 pm

The pod that she had been in front of suddenly exploded. It blew Kira backwards several feet and almost knocked her unconscious. Her staff was missing. Hovering just above the sands was a battle plane with its small cannons on the front. The side of it opened up and a commander stepped out onto the sands followed by a small force of ten soldiers. With a wave of his hand they went to stop Tzila.

The ship continued to fire upon Kira relentlessly to keep her pinned to the ground. She wasn't able to see the commander. He came up from behind her and grabbed hold of her.
"You are coming with me" he started dragging her toward the ship.

Tzila was unable to take them all down. Her injuries were starting to take their toll. They managed to get chains looped around the rings on her chest and yanked her off her feet. They sent electricity down it. She roared in pain as they did it repeatedly.

"we'll just take care of your little pet first" he laughed and tightened his arm around Kira's throat.
He used his other fist to deliver blows to her body.
"Give me what I want and this will all be over"

He finally saw it resting between her collar bones. He began to pry it free from her flesh. Kira stared down at where Tzila lay motionless. She could see blood spilling into the sand around her body. She suddenly felt overcome with emotion. Her voice seemed to rise out of her control.
"Help me!" she shouted "Please! Tzila!"

Tzila slowly began to hear Kira's cries. It stirred something within her soul. She hated to hear her begging. Tzila opened her eyes and started to rise to her feet like a zombie coming back to life. They tried to shock her into submission again but she didn't react to it. Her hands grabbed onto the chains and she ripped them free from the Boraks hands.

They tried to stab her with their swords and spears. The weapons collided with a shield that sent an electric shock down into their hands. She roared and started whipping the chains around. They struck those closest to her shattering their scales and crushing bone on contact.

When they were all toppled in the sand Tzila stared straight at the commander. She had no pupils in her eyes. Only that deep purple as she summoned powerful magic. The Borak soldiers were burned to ash by an unnatural purple flame. Tzilas heart was pounding to fast in her chest. It hurt more than anything she'd felt before. The use of her magic was becoming to much for her body to handle. She could hardly pull air into her lungs. Yet she had to obey, she had to free Kira.

The commander merely laughed as he pulled the stone free. The ship he was standing near opened fire once again. It was joined by several other planes of the same size. They opened their doors and more soldiers were ready to pour out into the sands. The cannons blasted the sands into glass as he watched triumphantly.

He held the stone in one hand and Kira in the other as he tried to choke her to death. Then without any warning Tzila moved so quick it was like teleportation. She clamped her teeth down onto the arm holding the stone. He threw Kira away from himself and tried to hang onto the stone. He grabbed a hold of the back of Tzilas neck and yanked hard. Then he body slammed her into the sands. She used her back feet to shove him off and swiped the stone from his bloody hand.

She stood in front of Kira to keep protecting her, the stone clamped tightly in one hand. She growled and released the powerful magic she had been summoning. It tore across the sands in a black lightning form and tore apart one of the ships.
"You cant take us all" the commander shouted in a rage "You dont have the power!"
Tzila swayed. She tried taking a breath but couldn't. She was about to collapse when she felt a sudden rush of power. She was enveloped in a blinding white light and it spread out from her in a bubble like fashion. It spread quickly and everything Borak was destroyed by its touch.

When the light faded only Tzila and Kira remained.

It took everything in kira not to fight back but she knew his claws could dig in and rip her heart out with the stone if he wanted. Calling out for Tzila seemed like the only option. Everything else happened so fast or maybe it was the pulsing in her head - she hadn't been apart from the stone since they were infants.

"Kirei..." she thought. "Kira... his voice echoed as she watched Tzila take back, protect and then use the stone.

Kira remained on the ground, subconsciously reaching up for the stone in Tzila's hand. As the light engulfed all, Kira watched in aww at it's power - for the first time as a spectator rather than it's host. She watched the light fade as her chest wound healed the deep wound but left a superficial scar - five lines connecting to a shallow crevice.

Before she could look around, Tzila fell back into Kira's outstretched arms, exhausted from the fight. Frantically Kira took the stone back from Tzila's paw, trying to figure out what just happened.

"How did you do that?" Kira asked in a panic, looking from the feline face in her lap to the stone in her hand. Reaching out her other hand, her staff found it's way back to her grip. The cat looked up at her as if you ask if she even knew how to use it herself. "I know how to use it." Kira scoffed. "We just always thought only Angels could wield Helios."

Finally looking around, there were no Borak remains, not their ships, bodies or blood. Relief flooded over kira till she remembered Kora was gone as well.

"Can your kind travel in space without technology to keep you alive?" Kira asked, swallowing her grief. Thinking the cat wouldn't live through another Borak encounter.

"No" Tzilas voice was quiet
She could not get her body to move. She stared at the angel and wondered what in the world possessed her to protect her that way. Her eyes started to close on her. She growled in annoyance as she forced them open. Her breathing started to slow and they closed again. Her head tilted to the side as she fell unconscious.
"Hey" Kira shook her gently
Tzila did not respond. Her breathing was easier now and her heart wasn't threatening to burst from her chest. The raging animal looked totally relaxed and innocent.

Kirei felt his wings give out as he approached a waterfall. His chest radiated light, sending shards of rainbow light off the falling water in front of him. Luckily there was a swimming hole at the bottom of the waterfall to catch his fall. As they stretched out in the cool water, his wings helped keep his head and shoulders above water. Slowly he paddled under the waterfall and then behind it. His eyes were starting to blur but luckily Helios kept shinning, he could see his makeshift home a dozen or so yards back but as he climbed up out of the water pool, he could barely manage crawling.

"Kira..." He called out telepathically as his shard of Helios reacted by lighting brighter. "Help me..." Opening his eyes, he looked over his shoulder at the water fall, trying to send her the image in his head. The surge of energy from Helios earlier had drained him of his energy and powers just long enough to be injured by an indigenous tribe on a planet covered by forest. He'd been in the middle of pretending to be a "God" when his abilities were sucked from him. Now that the jig was up, they'd come looking for him. Luckily the stone was already starting to heal him and he could feel it's powers coming back.

Kira's spine tingled from the base of it up to her skull as Kirei's voice echoed in her head. Looking down at Tzila, she sighed knowing the cat wouldn't like their new mission. Looking back at the stars, Kira searched for the constellation near the closest space station, they'd need supplies and a small ship, the stone would only be able to transport Tzila so far in space before it would start to take more of Kirei's power again.

Kira spotted the constellations as she held her staff over Tzila. A dull white light engulfed the cat as Kira placed her staff back between her wings before standing with Tzila resting in her arms, the cat was heavy but as Kira looked up, she knew the weight wouldn't be for long. Taking off, sand trickled off her feet. The atmosphere didn't want to allow them to leave but with enough effort it finally gave.

Travel was quicker in the silence of space and Tzila's lack of weight in her arms helped Kira focus on keeping her breathing. Kira was glad for no audible distractions and that Tzila slept as still as the asteroid belt they were passing through. Kira wanted to wake her to see Saturn's rings but wasn't sure if the cat would care.

Tzila's eyes popped open suddenly and she pushed away from Kira. She floated away and realized they were in space. She looked around at the star formations to find her location. She still felt weak and didn't move much. She stared at Kira in silence for several uncomfortable minutes.
"where are you going" she finally asked
Tzila kept most of her focus on breathing. Traveling through space with magic alone was dangerous. If you ran out of power or if you couldn't control the oxygen level properly you would die.

Kira's eyes widened in first shock as Tzila pushed away quickly, then in worry as kira focused on keeping the matter around Tzila breathable. As her heart rate stabilized she pointed above them. "We're going to the space station in the center of that star shaped constellation."

She thought she heard Tzila growl. "Do you want to extinct the Borak?" Tzila glared at Kira as if to ask her if she was stupid. "Then why not do so as my guardian? I'll need a warrior like you to help me take down them down before going after the Emperor." Kira smirked trying hard to ignore Tzila's irritation.

"I look out for myself" Tzila said "and it doesn't look like you're trying to fight. More like you are hiding"
She crossed her arms stubbornly and studied Kira. She did posses something that the Borak were after.
"perhaps you've gotten the wrong idea about me. I dont save anyone" she growled "but you do have something they want. I will stay with you only so I can kill more of them"

"Perhaps you're ideas about me are wrong as well." Tzila's eyes narrowed but Kira didn't pause. "War isn't always about physical battle, hiding can be beneficial defense to regroup, heal and plan." Tzila grunted. "If I hadn't been hiding, we wouldn't have met and you could have died alone in that desert." She eyed the cat, looking over the scars and missing patches of fur. "Maybe you don't save anyone because you're the one who needs saving."

Kira looked down, admiring the streak of energy at their feet, from a distance they must have looked as if a comet through space. Looking up over their heads the space station was growing into view.

Kira faced the space station head on with Tzila in tow. There was a faint glow about it in order to disguise it as a star from a distance but up close it was a dim light and the shape of a small metallic planet with a ring around it which gave it it's own superficial atmosphere.

As they landed on the flat surface of the ring, Kira and Tzila watched as a shuttle shot out of the planets surface toward them. From either side security vehicles hurried toward them.

"It's just protocol." Kira assured Tzila. "They'll take us inside, we'll be in and out so you can bloody up your claws again." The ring security stopped a few yards from them on either side as the shuttle landed near them.

"We haven't seen an Angel in a while. You've all gone into hiding." The alien spoke. "Some were starting to question if you'd all forsaken us." Kira's face grew red as Tzila chuckled.

"Now isn't the time for questions. The Borak are active again. They've attacked Earth and nearly took the stone." Kira word vomited.

"Oh, I see." The alien sighed. "Let's get you two settled in."

"We aren't able to visit." Kira knew Tzila wouldn't stay by her side if they delayed any type of fighting with the Borak. "We just need supplies and a ship." The alien looked at her funny before nodding and gesturing toward the shuttle.

"I cannot be saved" Tzila said following after Kira to the shuttle "I do not fear death. I embrace it as you must when you are a warrior. You kill and can be killed"
She crouched down and sat on the floor since she was so tall.
"I am already dead" she repeated herself "I feel nothing. I am nothing. My only purpose is vengeance"
They flew the short distance to the station and exited the shuttle into a small docking bay. Tzila glanced around a bit and took a few deep breaths to smell the air more thoroughly.
"You won't be performing any vengeance here" a security guard stated
Tzila looked down at him and smiled just a little revealing a few of her sharp teeth.
"You would be unable to stop me" she stated and followed after Kira

"Our medical staff is available to see you" their guide said "that will be our first stop. Then you can have the run of the place"
Kira was taken into one room and Tzila reluctantly ducked into another. Kira's check up was finished first. Their guide approached her a bit bashfully.
"Im afraid your friend has refused to be looked at" he said "So she'll have to stay here for now"
There were two guards standing outside her door and two male doctors down the hall looking pale. They were speaking to a female doctor who seemed to be in charge.
Kira popped inside Tzila's room for a moment.
"Just get what you need" she growled before the angel could even speak "Come get me when you are done. If you wish"
"Whats wrong?" Kira asked
Tzila did not give her an answer. Her ears stayed flattened and her tail swished in a wide motion behind her.
When Kira left the room the two guards were gone and only the woman was there.
"Dont worry I'll look after your friend" she smiled

Kira felt her wings twitch as she reluctantly left the infirmary. There were whispers in every language but Kira understood them all. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing? / It's an Angel! / What's going on? / What does this mean? / Do we need to prep for battle? / Is this an omen? She's the protector isn't she?" She toned it out as she made her way to a map and found the room she was looking for.

"Need an escort?" A voice asked from behind in a fluid, water like language. Kira turned to see a blue creature with gill ears and no mouth. She looked at him curiously but nodded. "He talks about you, I was on my way to greet you in the infirmary when I heard of your arrival. I go by Gill."

"Thank you, Gill. Can you take me to him please?" Kira asked, her eyes sad even though she was smiling. They zig zagged through a couple hallways before going down an elevator. As it opened a few guards turned to face them and immediately allowed passage. Her heart was pounding as they walked the narrow hallway lined on either side with bared rooms. Gill paused and gestured at the one in front of them.

"Gill, I can smell you like a fish outta water." A husky voice called out as his fingers wrapped around the bars.

"Kree..." Kira whispered, stepping into view.

"Kira..." Kree's head dropped as his fingers white knuckled the bars. "Why are you out of hiding?"

"It's safe to assume why, they found me, I need to find Kirei." Kree's face tilted up to look at her through his long locks. "The better question is why are you locked up?" Kira questioned.

"That doesn't matter." Kree scoffed. "You shouldn't be HERE if they found you. They're probably following you." Kira rolled her eyes before turning away. "Come on! All I did was kill a dozen or so Borak without authorization and this is my punishment: forever labeled as an Arch Angel." Kira held in her breath.

"Fine, Gill, let him out and he'll be my burden." Kira demanded. "Let me handle his transgressions." Gill nodded. "I need your ship any ways."

"That's all it took?" Kree's mouth dropped. "And really? You're just using me?"

"She is your version of a princess." Gill chuckled.

The two angels made their way back to the infirmary. "Ready?" Kira asked Tzila, as the door slid open.

The room was actually empty and no one seemed to know where she had gone. "She and the doctor walked away together but we dont know where. Nobody wants to be near that beast"
Their guide reappeared and chuckled a little.
"They've gone to take a bath" he said "Ann can be quite convincing even with the most difficult of patients"
He showed them the way to the bath hall and offered them the same hospitality.
"You really dont have to rush off so soon. Stay for some rest"
The baths were divided into male and female much like a japanese outdoor hotspring. Kira could hear Tzila's rough voice coming from the female bath and a lighter tone from the doctors.

Tzila was in the bath being washed by the doctor. She insisted on it so that she could look after any injuries she found. It didn't take long for her tub to be nothing but dirty water and had to be emptied again. The warm water was comforting so she tried not to complain much. She had been locked up for too long, unable to enjoy anything. After refilling her bath again the doctor started to take a look at the metal rings. She couldn't hide the anger and disgust that crossed her face.

Kira entered the womens bath area as Kree was led next door to the mens. An empty tub sat vacant next to Tzila's tub. "It's nice to see your coat shine." Kira smiled, taking in the scars and details she hadn't seen before through the dirt and blood. Kira turned on the hot water, then slowly added cold till it was the perfect bath heat. As the tub filled she added bath salts and a few essential oils from a counter behind the tubs. As the tub filled she disrobed, her back was toward Tzila and the doctor, showing off the marks over her shoulder blades where her wings protrude from. Her body was curvy but toned like a greek goddess painting. The water steamed around her body like mist on a sunny but cold morning as she sunk into the tub. "How's your bath going?" She asked Tzila, giving a playful glance at the doctor. "I'm glad you got her in here. We all could use a good clean."

...

Kree sat in his tub, his head hanging back, arms stretched out either side of the tub, smoke rising as if steam from his ears and smoky wings from his back. His eyes fixed on nothing in particular but he could feel eyes on him. He smirked, he was curious how long his freedom would last if he choose to run now without Kira. With a heavy sigh he decided it wouldn't last long.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 14, 2018 9:37 pm

"the bath is fine" Tzila answered "I am enjoying it's warmth"
She gently moved the doctors hands away from the rings. it was obvious the good doctor was not happy about the way her patient had been treated.
"leave it be. they cannot be removed" her voice was a bit concerned "if the wounds bother you don't look"
"what they've done to you is disgusting" the doctor said in an outburst.
Tzila simply smiled a little.
"I am their greatest enemy. they would not give me death. I was to suffer, and I did"
The doctor frowned and went back to looking at the rings.
"let's atleast get these cleaned. they are filthy"
The ring turned a bit and Tzila snapped at her hand. The doctor moved her hands away and waited for Tzila to regain her composure.
"I am sorry" doctor blushed ashamed
Tzila took a few uncomfortable breaths. She hadn't meant to do that.
"the pain was suprising" she admitted very quietly "I did not think I could feel anymore"

"You'd be surprised what the mind forgets that the body remembers." The doctor smiled as she tried to be gentler with cleaning around the rings. As her fingers cleaned around another ring, there was an earthquake like quake through the entire station which caused the doctor's finger to pull on the ring she was cleaning. As Cloud gave a loud hiss Kira's wings sprung open, her body hovered above her tub dripping as the water sloshed around under her. Another quake happened, this time the doctor was backing away from Cloud as to not pull on another ring, before turning to an intercom on a nearby wall to figure out what was happening just as sirens began to sound.

"It's time we leave," Kira told Cloud as the women's bathroom door slammed open. Kree stood with one hand pressed against the door and one hand barely holding a towel over his privates.

"Oh..." Kree exclaimed looking at Kira.

"Now's not the time!" Kira yelled, grabbing her clothes, still hovering while throwing them on.

"Right!" Kree vanished only to return a few minutes later fully clothed. "We've been hit. They know you're here." He looked at the doctor on the intercom. "What's the quickest way to the docking bay? If we leave they may follow us, we could lose them, it would be a win win."
