Though Ptolemy's smile seemed to remain constant, the nature of it did not. His features became melancholy as his eyes dropped to the ground and he paused in his pacing. His hands found each other behind his back.

"Yes...that's true. One side does seem to be a bit more lax about what they consider morally permissible. But you will find just as much variety in the White Moon Court as you will in the Negaverse. There are some Negaverse officers, I'm sure, who would refuse to hurt a fly. And I know for a fact that there are White Moon Senshi who have murdered people. The Blood Moon Court believed they wouldn't get anywhere if they didn't take war as seriously as the Negaverse, but it was from them that the Dark Mirror Court was born."

Sighing, the tall young man shook his head. "War isn't pretty, naturally. But there's never just one side to blame. As they say, it's not about who's right," he said, gesturing with his right hand as he summoned it from behind his back. "But about who's left." His left hand mimicked the motion of its counterpart on his other side.

"Sadly, even without youma or powers, wars still happen," Ptolemy pointed out, looking up once more. "It's just human nature. Doubt, greed, spite, hate, pain...those will always exist. But so will their opposites, so I think it's a matter of keeping the balance. The only problem is the Negaverse seems to have an upper hand right now, and I doubt it's their youma or abilities. You have magic they don't, after all."

The super senshi stroked his chin. "I don't understand why the White Moon Court seems to be so disjointed in comparison." Scratching his head, he wondered, "Maybe because each person is in charge of their own world while the Negaverse operates as one?" He gave a dry laugh. "Even if they have to force their people to do so sometimes."

Strolling on up to stand directly in front of Hypatia, he gazed at her a while, lost in thought. "That's not a bad thing," he told her when she mentioned dealing with what was in front of her. "If you try to look at the whole thing, it can end up being too intimidating and then you lose your drive. But if you take it a little bit at a time, at least you can make progress. And when you look back, you may end up having come farther than you ever expected to in the first place."

"It's ironic, isn't it?" the super sailor scout mused. "The Negaverse is a Chaotic faction, but their organization makes them more orderly than the Order faction of the White Moon Court. And the White Moon Court is kind of chaotic in its methods because, like you said, each senshi is a reincarnation of their world's protector, so as many sovereigns, they don't answer to a higher power like Metallia is to the Negaverse."

Gesturing casually, he added, "But you're right. When you think about it, that also kind of gives your faction a bit of an advantage. Without coordinating your efforts, you're unpredictable and you can cause them chaos. They can't fight all of you at once because more of you keep popping up elsewhere and you don't keep track of each other, so even if they defeat one of you, it's not like that would necessarily grant them access to others."

The only question was...was it enough? Perhaps the lack of cohesion was sufficient to keep the Order faction from being completely eradicated, but it didn't seem to be winning them any ground in the war, either. Ptolemy wondered idly if Scylla and the Blood Moon Court had made any more progress than the rest of their faction before the group had disbanded.

Dark brows lifted in astonishment at the mention of 'just a kid'. That brought up a good point. "I forgot about that. It's true there seemed to be a lot more mature, adult Negaverse officers than senshi. Maybe that has something to do with why they're more organized. But even if reincarnated senshi bodies and minds are young, many of their starseeds, as their souls, have lasted several lifetimes. That's got to count for something, right?" Provided they could connect well enough with their homeworld to access memories of their ancestors and past lives, of course. Not that Ptolemaeus knew much about that, since chaotic energy seemed to keep Chaos factions cut off from whatever homeworld they had once associated with.

The tattooed super crossed his arms over his chest. "Heh, you must not have met many other sailor scouts if you consider yourself among the older ones. There's a White Moon Senshi I know who was once part of the Blood Moon Court. She's an adult who I'm betting is older than you and has been around a long time. She was the one who told me about the birth of the Dark Mirror Court.

"She and her old teammates believed the same as the kid you mentioned - that your court should get more organized and be more coordinated. If you or he are serious about pursuing that path, I suggest trying to get in touch with her through your senshi phones. Her name is Eternal Sailor Scylla, Senshi of the Kraken."

A small, mirthless laugh escaped Ptolemaeus when Hypatia suggested that everyone did what they could or believed they should have. Unfortunately, he knew this was not necessarily the case. There was at least one even among his own faction who powered up not for the sake of the war or others, but simply for his own pleasure and entertainment. However, as the Senshi of Reefs expressed her intention to leave, the tall, swarthy adolescent folded himself in a polite farewell bow.

"Say no more. The feelings are mutual," he confessed. "Maybe we can continue our discussion another time, but tonight, it was a pleasure meeting and conversing with you, Hypatia." Righting himself, he once more adopted his full Cheshire grin and offered a two-fingered salute from his temple. "Take care, angel-face. Have a good rest of the night."
