Despite Verosh's attempt to describe snow in a good light, Mina remained doubtful of how enjoyable it could be. For one thing, as obvious, it was cold. For another, it would mean leaving Jauhar, and that would ne- ...well, she had no intention of going any further than she already had. Clumps and shapes could be made in mud and sand without being cold.

Fortunately for Verosh, Mina was quite intent in her focus on the berries and missed the bashful blushing. It was much more comfortable to not see who was with her... but, of course, that comfort was short lived. She gave a curt little nod in response, but left it at that. Of course, she would have no need of using an earthling's healing. The apology made her look around to the male though, lips parting slightly with surprise. Negative reactions.. rightly so! Who would want- wait. The earthling had helped an Alkidike heal, after all. There had to be some skill... though surely the Alk had not been so terribly wounded, right? "Has your mo-..father.. aided our sisters aside from your mother?" she asked slowly, walking to the other side of the berry bush to pluck a few more for the basket. Now, no more eating them!

His shoulders were tense as she started speaking again. What would she say? Verosh was prepared to lash out, to defend himself and his family but her simple question caused him to pause. She was inquiring about what he had done? The hybrid rose a brow before glancing towards Vermina, "He has." He replied quietly, "While some may not want to admit it he has indeed proven helpful to those in a pinch." There wasn't always an elder nearby after all nor could the mystics be called to treat every typical hunting injury. Even if the earthling couldn't fight like the Sisters he could at least channel magic which would prove far more useful than the average salve that many huntresses knew to apply.

"It's different when you're further from Chibale." He found himself speaking as he reached and plucked more berries for his basket, "There's not always enough time to get to a Sister who can fully use the arts of healing and the mystics do not always have the time." Verosh frowned as he felt that he shouldn't need to express himself to her, but the Sister did seem a bit ignorant of the world outside of that protected island, "When a life is on the line sometimes heritage does not matter....just as long as someone can be saved."

Mina tried to listen with as open a mind as she could manage. She was afraid that something might spill out if she opened it too much! Helpful in a pinch. Yes, that made sense. "I am.. glad.. that sh- that he is able to help our sisters when they need." As uncomfortable as the thought was, perhaps Verosh was right. When it came to living or dying... accepting the aid of an earthling was preferable to death, surely.

Her mother would have said otherwise, but that was why her mother wasn't around anymore...

"Well, this is the furthest I will ever need to go from Chibale," she assured, standing upright. "However... should the need arise...... I am glad to know someone willing to assist is near." Hopefully, it was a test she would never need go through! Yuck!

Looking up at the faint sky, Mina gave a small sigh of relief. Freedom was coming! "It seems that the rains have finally decided to lift. They will be expecting me back on Chibale." Looking back at Verosh, she found herself hesitating. Did she tell him it had been a pleasure? Wish him well? "...Thank you for your willingness to discuss things with me," she finally decided to say. It was through the more willing hybrids that she was able to learn and grow, step by step.

"You say that but who knows?" The hybrid shrugged his shoulders, "Anyways that is your decision." As much as he appreciated the rest of the Alkidikes as a superior race there was still a part of him that did want to defend the earthlings, at least for some things like this. He was glad though that he was better versed in the outside world so that he knew how to brace himself against any future trouble. He would not be blindly living here staying cooped up in a forest like some god when there was an outside world to still conquer or rather an outside world to still pose as a threat even to the Sisters. Not that they would admit to such things due to their vanity, something that made him frown.

At least she was trying. He couldn't help snorting quietly under his breath, "One day you may remember this indeed." He murmured under his breath before standing as well and shifting his basket back into place on his arm, "Go back to your shelter Sister and I will head on my way as well." He paused at her thanks before offering a small smile, a hint of something other than his usual snark, "You're welcome and truly good luck to you." He wished her the best of luck in her travels and in her growth as a warrior because even if they did have a bit of differences there was one thing both would share - they were warriors under Aisha and they would bare arms to protect their home and their Sisters whenever the need would arise in the future. That much Verosh was certain of.

Who knows, indeed. She truly hoped this would be the furthest she would ever go... This far was bad enough.. and had not exactly been her decision. If she could help it, this would be as far as she goes!

She glanced back at the mumbling sound, but did not press for clarification. She certainly would go back to her shelter, and never come back out from it! The smile she suddenly got was as disarming as it was unexpected though. Silently, she gave Verosh a small nod before turning to head for the dock.

Okay, so meeting a male had not been the worst thing she had experienced. At least she had experienced it now, and she would have a story to tell her sisters when she got back.
