Tadeos gave a slight shrug, "I don't know if it is. I just know that I want to help people in a way that I couldn't if i just became a farmer. Feeding people is all well and good but being able to treat wounds, tend to the sick, looking after those carrying children... it's just what I wish to do." He could only hope that it all worked out and his mother didn't pick a fight with Doctor Forthus. He was a good man and Tadeos didn't want cause him trouble.

Looking over at the girl after he paid for the various sorts of threads he waited for her to be done with her own shopping.

Giving a shake of his head he said, "It was hard enough to convince Doctor Forthus to take me on. He's not an 'old man' as he puts it and doesn't need an apprentice. I think he took me on because I proved that I'm meant it when I gave up what I used to spend my time on." He should count his lucky stars that the man was willing to train him when he didn't have to.

"I need to get..." He sighed having to say it, "Candy." He glanced over at the girl and said, "It's not for me or anything. The Doctor hands it out to the youngling patients since it's a way of rewarding them for behaving during check ups or for taking medicine when they are sick." Surely she knew how that worked? Right? Here was hoping he thought to himself as he started forward again.

"Exactly like that." He was glad that she seemed to understand why he needed to get candy instead of thinking that he was getting a bunch of the stuff for himself. He wasn't against candy persay but that didn't mean that a lot of people didn't still look at a guy funny when they bought it. It seemed that unless it was for a girlfriend it was odd for a guy to get it... especailly in bulk.

Shaking his head he said, "Not at all. They are unpredicatabl and prone to bursting into tears without any sort of provocation. As such they have to be the most difficult to deal with... well, along with pregant woman and drunks. No offense about the former thing." The only time he'd had to help out with a pregnant woman he'd nearly lost a hand because she was having contractions and the doctor made Tadeos hold her hand until her husband showed up to take over.

Tadeos gave the perching creature a glance before nodding his head, "I... will take it as a good thing then." He should take it as a compliment since that meant that he should do well with dealing with the people that came to the clinic. At least those that didn't come by for the sole purpose of trying to get him to go on a date with him. Those ones he'd be only too happy to toss out but everyone else he wanted to take care of, especially the younglings. They tended to need the most comforting when it came to having to deal with anything medical related.

"Huh? Oh... yeah? Just don't let my sister hear you saying as much or we will be married within the week." He cautioned the girl, giving a glance around to make sure that Tyr wasn't lurking some where nearby. Once he was sure that everything was looking good he turned his attention back to Talria once more.

"What flavors do I like? Well, what I want isn't terribly important. What is important is getting a huge variety of it so there are plenty of choices for the children." He said, looking through the various types of candy before he set to gathering various types of hard candy in one of the bags that were providing, filling it up, then did the same with a second one. Once all of the candy was gather he turned to look over to Talria and asked, "Is there anything you'd like?"

"Tools?" He found himself asking as he paid for the candy that was meant for the children that came to the clinic, tucking them away into his pack, "I'm sure that they will like this." It seemed like sweets like these were the best way to make up for the children what they had to deal with, stuff that seemed to be that much worse when one was a child. As an adult a check up was just routine, for a child it was just terrible... or so they would lead a person to believe.

Giving a shake of his head at her question he said, "I'm quite alright, but thank you." It would make him feel a little silly to make a girl carry things for him. Best that he did it for himself so that he didn't appear to be rude. Giving the girl a glance, eyebrow lifting, he said, "I hope your luck continues to carry you forward." He didn't quite believe in luck carrying a person through life but he'd still cheer her on best he could... and if she got injured he'd help her out.

Tadeos gave the gun the woman carried another glance, then nodded his head, "I see." That must be difficult, having to worry about a weapon of that nature. He knew very little about such guns since they were restricted to very specific members of the Lightning tribe. Now what they were capable of, that he knew. He had to be ready to deal with those sorts of wounds after all.

"Learning a lot is quite important, I agree. Especially when one wants to take care of others in the sort of field I'm pursuing." There was so much to learn and so much to keep track of.

"E-Eh?" He turned to stare at the girl, his icy blue eyes going wide, "W-What? Cute? No." At the mention of Tyr he instantly set to looking around, not wanting to get caught by his twin being called 'cute' by another girl. He knew that he'd end up in over his head in a way that he was definitely not interested in.

Tadeos gave a grumbling sound and a half shrug, as though to say that he wasn't amused. She was a difficult one to deal with, wasn't she? A bit like Tyr in that way, she was able to find weak spots to poke at, something he told himself he had to get better at protecting. He couldn't let himself show any weakness when he had a lot of hardship laid out before him when it came to how difficult it was for someone to jump sectors when it came to work. Not to mention his messy past that liked to crop up from time to time... and yet here he was still getting flustered by something as simple as being called cute.

Looking down at his list he gave a humming sound, then sighed, "Doctor Forthus wants me to go to someone that he treats who trades booze for treatment to pick up a payment." He had zero interest in drinking himself for many reasons but the doctor found it nice to have a drink at the end of a long day. Tadeos would fetch the stuff for him if it meant staying on his good side.

"Is there anything you're actually wanting from the marketplace? Or are you just content following me?" He asked as he started forward toward where the brew master could be found.

"Hmmm." People watching was better then doing nothing? He couldn't say that he had a feeling one way or another in that instance. Mostly because he wasn't one for wasting time with doing nothing. If he had free time he tried to spend it reading one of the doctor's many reference books. He just couldn't understand people that wasted their time doing nothing but that was a thought that he kept to himself because it made him sound like a bit of a jerk.

His icy eyes turned to Talria again, starring at hard at her for a long, drawn out moment, before he asked, "Are you sure that my sister didn't send you?" She seemed like the sort that Tyr might send even if Talria said that she definitely wasn't sent by anyone.
