Arachne grinned as he pulled back from the kiss, brushing their noses together before he reached up with one hand to dust a bit of snow out of Almandine's hair. "Maybe not every time but at least I know now it works." He was mostly teasing but any excuse to kiss the other man was a good one as far as he was concerned.

He was tempted to continue the snowball fight but caught sight of the small box he'd brought out of the corner of his eyes. "Oh, almost forgot .. come'ere I have something for you."

Pressing another quick kiss to Almandine's lips he tugged him back toward where he'd been sitting earlier and picked up a small wrapped box. "This is for you."

"Yes for you. Something I should have gotten you a long time ago but for some reason, going to blame how distracting you are, didn't think of it." He smiled as he pressed the box into Almandine's hands. He was a bit nervous about giving it to him but they needed it.

He just had to hope that Almandine appreciate it even though he knew he'd use it.

Inside the box was an incredibly simple smartphone. It looked like the sort either someone's grandmother or a child would have, no bells and whistles attached. "It's a phone ... technically a burner phone. All its programmed to do is call the other one that I have."

He smiled slightly as he sat back down on the low wall the box had been tucked up against. "Can't be traced, no contracts or anything. Perfectly safe way for us to contact eachother until we get all of this sorted out."

Arin had given him the idea after looking at him like he was crazy for not thinking of it before. It was such a simple idea but one he hadn't even bothered to think about until his friend brought it up.
