"I'm always supervised." She smiled and pointed at Isolder who waved cheerfully at the pair from the distance. "Hes a good Dad. Even if hes from Jauhar not Matori. He picked me out of all the others at the orphanage. I don't know why but I'm grateful he did."
She looked at the water. "I like the ocean I feel most at home near it. But you are right it demands a lot of respect and care. So many mystrries to discover. I can't wait to explore it properly."

His gaze followed her finger and the man nodded, "So I see." The Matori's gaze softened when she explained she was adopted, "Well that just means you shined the brightest in his eyes." Emiyn replied without hesitation, "I don't blame him either since you have been quite an enjoyable friend for this afternoon." He reached out in a motion that mimicked the same one his own grandmother did to him as a child and he ruffled her hair, "Well when you do explore it one day I wish you the best of luck and hope that you have many adventures."
"For now though why don't we gather some more clams? You'll have a feast by the time we're finished with this area of the beach."

"I bet my Father would really enjoy some food he didn't have to catch himself. He takes such good care of me." It delighted her that she might be able to repay some of the favor her father had shown her. She was worth it, and she would prove it to him! She would make him a proud papa. Even though she still missed her parents sometimes, she was glad that they had sent Isolder to her. Somehow she thought they might be involved.
She continued to dig around in the sand lookiing for the coveted clams. They tasted good and were better fresh than bought at the market...even if the market kept them in the little buckets of water, this way was best as the locals knew..visitors tended to buy from the market.

Emiyn smiled at her words, "Then we will definitely make certain to fill a bucket up with clams." He paused and then stretched out a hand, "Let's wander about three feet in that direction, I think there's a lot more there." He moved swiftly and as if to testify to his statement the first hole he reached a hand in had a nice big clam, "There." The Matori grinned towards the youngling as he continued to work with her. This was something that his grandfather had taught him as a youngling and he was glad to be able to give this young child some assistance. A good effort should always be rewarded. He thought quietly to himself before whistling a soft melody under his breath as they continued to search the beach.

Soon the bucket was full and she felt so proud and grateful to her new friend. "Thank you so much for helping me out, I really appreciate it, if you need an escort anywhere for stuff, my Dad is a guard, I'm sure he can recommend someone for you. Or if you ever need help with gathering clams, I can give you a hand no problem." She was so excited she danced from foot to foot. It was such a great day! She was content, an covered in sand and had done a good thing AND made a friend. What could get better than this?!
"I better get going home, but I do hope I will see you again someday Emiyn. She gave him a heartfelt hug and dragged the bucket off towards her father, pausing every few steps to wave at him.

"I'll keep that in mind." Emiyn smiled at her offer, "Thankfully I don't live far from here so if you frequent this beach I'm sure we'll run into each other again some day." He flushed slightly at the sudden hug before squeezing her in return before she let go and darted away towards her father. Smiling at her antics Emiyn could only raise a hand and continue to wave until she had disappeared from sight. Now that he had spent time with the girl the boy had to pause himself. Was there much more point to being out here? Perhaps the winds had led him here specifically just to meet and help the little girl. The thought made his gaze glimmer with amusement and warmth before he too turned on a heel and began to head down the beach in the opposite direction towards his own home. It should be time for dinner and he was definitely prepared to spend an evening home with his grandparents after such an eventful day.
