"Promise?"
Her voice was soft, full of all the adoration she harbored for her princely boyfriend. He never failed to make her heart flutter, her mouth curve up into a smile, and warmth spread across her cheeks. Even after everything, she was so, so marveled that he wanted her.
"What are you--" She cut off, jade eyes flicking up to take in the way the sky was a bright light of colors that shifted in a beautiful manner.
Her brows lifted, lips parted and she stared up, awestruck by the beautiful display above them. "Did you..." She looked over her shoulder at the tall man behind her and she fake pouted at him.
"Akio," she playfully scolded, shaking her head and taking his hand. "Come on, dummy."

One arm tightened itself around her waist, helping her down the slick stairs he almost tripped on himself. The dummy comment was more endearing than anything else, even if the familiar word reminded him of someone from his recent past...
Kissing the top of her head, he led them to his moped, murmuring thoughtfully, “If I could convince the stars to celebrate your beauty every night, Aurora, I would give the heavens anything they desired.”
The passenger helmet was retrieved, then offered to the teenager as he shrugged.
“But, since I cannot...I suppose I'll just have to give you everything instead.”
Offering a wink, he tugged on his own helmet and moved to straddle his less-than-stellar vehicle of choice. “Starting with skating, if my beautiful princess doesn't object.”

"You're such a sap," Rory told him, clearly enjoying the compliments but needing to deflect because he always made her feel like she was more than she was and no matter how long they'd been together, she was terrified of him realizing that she wasn't all that he thought she was.
"C'mon, my handsome prince," she cooed, leaning over and pecking his cheek before she fit the spare helmet over her head, fastening the strap and sliding on behind him, arms comfortably wrapping around his waist.
"Let's start with ice skating and try not to think too much about everything else." After all, Rory could only handle taking things one step at a time some days because snow and frost kept making her think of things she shouldn't and she refused to let her heart ache when she was surrounded by warmth and love.
And ice skating sounded like an absolutely wonderful date.
