A local designer had the crazy idea of using Wurmple's string shot to try and create a new type of fabric. However, the flaw in their plan was that they didn't have enough wurmple! So they've decided to hirer local trainers to go back out to route 104 in order to catch the bug pokemon for them. They've even been generous enough to supply the trainer with special pokeballs to help in their endeavor. Many trainers have taken up the call.
The forest was picked through by a lot of trainers before returning back to the city or moving on to another part. However, there were some people out there that didn’t just go out to get some extra money. Deeper into the forest there was a small camp where pokemon had been tied up. The people who tied these pokemon up also had decided to take out some torches to smoke out extra Wurmples. Unfortunately an ember caught on some dry underbrush.
As the fire starts to catch, some players will find that there are shady looking characters using the opportunity to capture uncommon pokemon. Unfortunately as the fire raged out of control these criminals started to panic and in their panic they've begun to act irrationally. They’ve left some of the pokemon at their site tied up while they try to fight the fire with the water pokemon that they have. As though there is a fire raging inside of them they will become very aggressive to anyone who enters their camp to try and help the pokemon they captured or have stolen out.
Meanwhile, the fire rages on all around as pokemon of all sorts panic; running around and trying to get away from the forest fire.
