"He was obnoxious when we were younger." Lucien probably had been too but in a different way from Lysander. They all had grown up though so he had to give Lysander a little benefit of the doubt even if he didn't want to.

At the mention of Lysander's risks he shook his head. He had no idea how the other senshi hadn't managed to get himself killed given how many stupid things he did. As long as he was learning though Arachne would be a good friend to have. He was strong.

When he felt the kiss to his fingers he looked over at his lover, smiling. "I think you only told me once this morning. Little behind on your usual."

"I can't really argue that." He laughed softly, shaking his head before pushing his hair out of his face. He had pretty much hated everything when he was younger and almost everyone too. It wasn't something he'd ever thought he would get over but he was i a way glad he had. I

He wouldn't have Arin if he'd stayed hating everyone.

"Don't know what you're talking about." He grinned, nudging Arin's foot with his gently. "Cordy's been spending a lot of time on Corvus and she's been pretty quiet lately. I've tried to get things out of her but she's ... Cordy and doesn't like botherign people with her issues."

"I've told her a few times to stop that. I know she doesn't want to worry me but I'll worry anyway if she stops telling me things." It usually meant Cordelia was hiding something from him. Usually something she thought was trivial but wasn't really when it came down to it, not if she was worried about it.

He didn't know Thisbe all that well, Arachne either for that matter, but if the two of them were going to be actually joining the band of misfits he probably should actually make an attempt to know them.

Shifting he reached for the coco so he could get another sip, holding onto the mug for a moment. "You alright with all this? Getting mixed up in Lys' life again and whatever trouble comes from getting the guy out?"

Lucien's face had started to scrunch before Arin finished his first thought and he huffed slightly at being interrupted from making a face. He wasn't quite sure it was fair that Arin knew he was going to make that face at a comment like that. The last thing he wanted in a situation like this was Arin helping out because he felt like he owed someone and not because he wanted to.

They'd talked about it though and he knew Arin wanted to help. That was something that was important to Arin. Getting anyone out who wanted out and that could still be gotten out. It was at least something they could do in the seemingly endless war.

"But I'm me and I'm not exactly that most forgiving when it comes to the Negaverse." He gave Arin's hand a squeeze as he leaned his head against his lovers shoulder. "I'm working on being alright with it. I know it's important to everyone to save who can be saved and fundamentally I know that it is. It's just the automatic emotional reaction, harder to change." But Lucien could recognize that emotional response and he could choose not to give in to it. "So I know what my first reaction is but in this situation ... it's not the right reaction."

"You mean a lot to me," He squeezed the other man's hand slightly. "So if helping others is going to help you then I'll be right beside you." Even if sometimes it might just feel like he was there to keep Arin safe, just in case, he'd still do it "Whatever you need me to do."

Luc knew that if something really felt wrong or didn't feel safe Arin would listen to him.
