Slight corrections were made, adjustments where Kamacite's trembling muscles didn't want to hold, or a bruise made position difficult. "Good, good." Sometimes he slipped and praised or corrected Kamacite in Finnish, not because he forgot how to find the word in English, but because he often corrected Wolfeite in Finnish just to ******** with him and it was become a bit of a habit.

"Not yet, but you will be." Aue nodded, then moved in again, "Someone comes at you and you want to toss them, you lean forward, drop your shoulder so they hit, like here--" His hand pressed against Kamacite's shoulder to show where he should try to get the opponent's weight to fall, "Then you use legs and whole body with momentum to send them over."

"If the angle is wrong, you get steamrolled. If your lower body isn't braced well, you will collapse. It can be tricky, but you are good enough to manage this."

The Finn took several steps backwards before stopping again. "First, we just try to get the angle right. I will come at you, just try to get your shoulder under me to lift. It won't be hard." What he meant was that his approach would not be a full-on sprint, nor would a painful tackle follow - not that the move would be easy. It was more that Aue would make a quick approach, allow Kamacite attempt the initial lift, and then drop back to critique it and offer guidance until it was a move the smaller corrupt was completing in a reasonably competent manner more than 60% of the time.

Then, he might give him a short break. Hydration was important, after all - even in Negaspace.

Kamacite let Aue correct him as best as he could, although he wasn’t entirely confident of his own abilities. Aue saying little things to him in Finnish every so often didn’t receive any kind of frustration or confusion in return, just quiet curiosity. It made sense that he would speak in a language he was comfortable with, even for little things, and Kamacite didn’t mind letting him do so.

His instructions and direction was all in English, even with Aue’s accent warping some of the words. Kamacite didn’t mind. Even though he would rather not speak himself, he had no complaint listening to someone else all day.

Ah, but he was supposed to be focusing on training and not the way Aue rolled his ‘r’s.

The first attempt was probably a little too enthusiastic. Kamacite hadn’t realized that Aue was actually not planning on tackling him to the ground (something, something, lost in translation), so when the larger corrupt moved within range, Kamacite practically lunged his shoulder into him, which… really… hurt Kamacite more than it probably hurt Aue. He was thankful he hadn’t dislocated it.

After flusteredly mumbling through an apology, they tried again. This time the precision was a little better, and Kamacite was actually able to focus where he was trying to balance Aue’s weight when he approached, now that he wasn’t terrified that he would be completely squashed in that first go round.

This was more difficult than Kamacite had anticipated, and by the… he wasn’t sure how many times they’d tried it… Kamacite was panting with sweat dripping from his face, even though he really hadn’t been doing much running around. It was the effort of trying to move back into position and prepare for the practice tackle, and general exhaustion from his previous fight not too long ago that had his legs shaking.

“Are you - even tired?” he wheezed, watching Aue with a mix of awe and frustration. He opened his mouth to maybe say something else, but changed his mind and shook his head as he straightened back up again, and then back into the defensive stance he’d been practicing, preparing himself.

Even if that first attempt was somewhat disastrous and sent the air jolting out of his body, Aue preferred that Kamacite was over-zealous when trying to comply, so there had been no correction offered on that. Just a mental note for himself to make certain his instructions were clear enough in English the next time.

Tiberius, for his part, thought it great amusement to see Kamacite jam his pointy, sharp shoulder into Aue's unprotected torso and drive all the breath out of him. Until the laughter set him into a coughing fit,
which set off a hairball fit.

While the two corrupt senshi were busily distracted with practicing for the world's crappiest rendition of Dirty Dancing, Tiberius found himself crouched on the crushed velvet, backing up as his entire body compressed accordion like over and over again, working beer-foam infused hairball up,
up, up with an unholy chnggnnachnngaachnnga hrrnkhrrnkhrrnk sound series that ended in a rather wet splat he hoped neither human would notice.

Tiberius blinked at the wasted beer and wad of cat fur, glanced at where the senshi were still sparring, and moved his entire 'spot' about three feet to the left as though he'd never horked up a hairball at all. In fact, he'd always been three feet to this side - what the hell were you thinking?

Aue didn't bother keeping track of how many times he and Kamacite went through their little practice move, but it was enough for his partner to be extremely worn out and soaked through with sweat.

He, on the other hand, was simply sweaty like he'd been at the gym, a bit red in the face from the blood pumping, but no where near as thrashed as Kamacite. That was - of course - due to the fact that Aue had started working on conditioning training so that he wouldn't be a liability to his Pack.

"No." Because he wasn't. This wasn't really even a work out - a warm up, perhaps, with all the short sprints. "This time, send me over when you get your shoulder under, like you tried the first time. Use your arms and hands too, whatever part you can use for leverage to help toss me, do it." It would be harder now too, because Kamacite was tired and his limbs heavier - but now was the best time to do it. He had a solid grasp of the stance needed and was able to lift Aue a little each time - he could do the toss.

In a battle, being able to perform a throw like this when exhausted could save one's life. Toss your opponent, stun them, drain or starseed them. The difference between life and death. He can do this.

A flash of teeth, Aue made his approach wide open the way so many senshi tended to -- and with every intent to clobber Kamacite if he couldn't manage to pull off the throw.

Kamacite was just going to die. He was going to pass out from exhaustion and die. All of this effort would be for nothing, and Aue would look back on this day as a waste of his time and energy. How was he, Kamacite, supposed to show that he was actually learning and not be a pathetic, wimpy thing with pointy, sharp shoulders. Which, thank you very much, was just as painful for him as it was to Aue. No, it probably wasn’t even painful for Aue because he was covered in muscle and didn’t even bother putting his shirt back on, so that was all his own fault for… whatever. For all of it. It was all his fault.

There was a strangled sounding groan that escaped between the panting, Kamacite wishing he could just… decide this was a horrible idea when it was first mentioned and never have to go through any of the pain and agony Aue was putting him through. Okay, it wasn’t that horrible, but he was going to be even more sore and bruised than he already was.

But he was prepared. As much as he was moaning and groaning about it, he did want to learn. He did want to be able to hold his own in a fight and not have to worry about someone needing to be there to save him.

Despite what Tiberius probably thought of him, Kamacite was not a damsel in distress needing to be babysat and rescued. Just… maybe once in awhile. But not all the time! He would prove that he could do this, that he was learning and going to be just fine.

He nodded to show Aue that he was ready, deciding to look at Aue practically and determine where he was going to put his hands to help with the toss and not that he’d had his shirt off this entire time because good gracious he must work out often --

Kamacite stepped forward as Aue approached, planting his feet how he was shown, and ducking down just enough to get under Aue’s center of weight. His hands grabbed for Aue’s well muscled arm (stop that), one clamping onto his wrist and the other just above his elbow to pull him over his shoulder and --

Aue was on the floor, and Kamacite stumbled backwards on shaky legs before he practically collapsed to his knees in surprise. It worked? Good, because he was just going to… lie down and rest for a bit. And maybe try to not die, although he was breathing like he was going to.

Newly settled, Tiberius curled himself cozily in a loose sphere to watch the spar. At least, that was the intention, the reality was that the Mauvian fell asleep almost instantly, his head droop-droop-drooping until his nose was touching his tail where it curled over his forepaws as he snored softly.

Kamacite made a sound something akin to an abused mule, which Aue ignored - much as he ignored the Mauvian horking (and then snoring). He knew his packmate was unused to such boisterous exercise, let alone such rough treatment. That was fine, he would adapt - he was capable. Until then, such noises were to be ignored. Truly pained sounds, however, would not. But Kamacite had been fine and so he'd proceeded.

As the senshi of lemons was grabbed, he noted it wasn't the most solid of grips - but it was effective, which was really all that mattered. Hyv. It took nothing and he was slamming into the floor, dust and crystal particles kicked up by the force of his landing. Aue grunted as the air whooshed out of his lungs in a rush, the weight of his body sending it right out along with the pain that radiated along every bone and point of contact with the ground.

Kamacite was on his knees - was he hurt? No, surprise maybe? Aue tried pushing himself up, but his head was still rattling a bit, so he instead turned onto his side and worked to bring his breathing back under control; his diaphragm wanted to seize into a fit of hiccoughs and he refused that indignity. After a minute or so, Aue had managed to get his breathing back into some semblance of order, but instead of getting up completely he just sat up fully and frowned in distaste at the Negaspace grime now caked onto his bare skin.

"Good job, Kamacite. You are unhurt, yes?"

He’d done it. He’d actually managed to get Aue on the ground, even though Kamacite was half his size. Somehow, by some miracle, the last hour or whatever of training and preparing for the toss had given Kamacite enough knowhow to actually do it, even if it was a bit shaky. Because somehow, for whatever reason, Aue had decided that it was worth giving his time and energy to help Kamacite learn some new skills to better defend himself.

And now Aue was telling him he did a good job.

Him. Kamacite.

A quiet trill of a laugh escaped.

Kamacite felt as though his whole body was in pain from exertion, his breath heavy, and they were sweaty and gross and covered in the dust and filth that had settled on everything in Negaspace.

Even as he lowered himself all the way to the ground and onto his back to try and catch his breath, Kamacite felt… light and elated. To actually succeed at something and especially for Aue to tell him he did a good job was not something he’d expected.

“Yes, I am unhurt,” he said breathlessly as he stared up at the ceiling, then over at Aue as he sat up. He laughed again, though it was still soft and disbelieving, slowly shaking his head at the sight of Aue covered in the dirt and decay of the past thousand years.

“Are you unhurt?” he asked, lifting his arms to see how much dirt was caked into his skin and robes, and then let them drop back down into the ground as if he was going to attempt something of an unenthusiastic snow angel.

He'd managed to teach Kamacite to use leverage to do a single throw - but considering how ******** stupid many of the Order folks were, it wasn't outside the realm of possibility that his packmate would be charged recklessly like that. Especially in the heat of battle. Or if he were tactical and teleported in at just the right moment to catch someone and send them ******** sailing.

Aue really was pleased. Extremely pleased. There was a lot more that he would need to teach Kamacite about hand-to-hand, yes, but this was one hell of a start and they had time.

He almost missed it, the soft dancing laughter that came from his packmate. A moment's consideration said the notes there held no hysteria, so he let Kamacite be once it was made clear that no injury ha been caused. Relief, to start. He is exhausted and the endorphin rush would make him giddy. That is all. Kamacite was also in position to make a disgusting grime angel, or something of the sort, which was kind of funny.

"I need a shower, but am fine." Barring some bruises, naturally. There was nothing gentle about your own body-weight slamming into a hard surface, which was the point. "You will require a pressure washer for cleaning." A streak of semi-crystalline dirt - likely from Aue repeatedly being slammed into his shoulder - had gone from sleeve to neck to smudge along Kamacite's cheek.

Instead of commenting on that, the senshi of lemons picked a piece of gravel from his elbow to hide his amusement. "Being small doesn't mean useless or weak, Kamacite. It just means you have to think more. Gravity, leverage, strategy."

"Working with your packmates or allies as needed for your benefit...this is how you gain advantage and destroy those that would destroy you."

In his booze-induced slumber, Tiberius belched and mumbled something about a 'Silver Lady' or a 'Swivel Baby' - it was quite unclear, really, with how drunk and sleepy he was...and the fact that cat mouths weren't entirely suited for human speech.

”I’ll be okay,” Kamacite said softly at the suggestion of using a pressure washer to clean him of the grime and filth, as he looked once more in Aue’s direction. He was joking, Kamacite knew. Maybe. Part true, because he probably would require additional scrubbing to get all the dirt off his skin, but a joke nonetheless.

It was… Kamacite didn’t know what it was, but he couldn’t remember feeling this pleased with himself in a long time. Aue’s comments about how being small didn’t mean what Kamacite had always thought it to mean was slowly starting to sink into him.

And it wouldn’t have been possible without Aue taking the time to not just tell him, but to show him that it was possible. To show him that he could do things if he practiced and tried and didn’t give up.

When was the last time someone had done something like that for him? He couldn’t remember. For most of his life, Kamacite did his best to figure things out on his own. He copied what others did in social situations, he memorized the way they moved and spoke so he could try to fit in better. It didn’t work very well, which was why he tried to just avoid people all together.

But Aue… maybe it was just because he was part of Aue’s pack that he wanted him to grow, but… it was more overwhelming than Aue might realize for Kamacite to actually acknowledge that he might be useful.

Tiberius was sleeping. Snoring in the corner. And Kamacite was pushing himself shakily to sit, and then up to his feet. He looked like an absolute mess, caked in sweat and dust and who knew what else.

He carefully crossed the short distance between himself and Aue, hands reaching to place delicately against his packmate’s face, mostly so he could hold his attention than trying to keep him in place, so he could lean down to kiss him.

Seeing the way his packmate was bolstered by not only words but by having been able to throw him was pleasing. Kamacite had needed that, needed to have his spirits and confidence fanned - he was capable, but he had so little faith in his own abilities as to be comical. That Aue could help was most excellent on many levels.

He could hear the Mauvian snoring, but it was Kamacite's laughter that echoed in his ears and kept the curve of his mouth pulled ever so slightly up. Aue watched as his packmate got up out of the filth and stood, head tilting up and back with his brows drawing close - what was Kamacite doing? Wasn't he tired? Or perhaps his goal was to head back for a shower, clean up, and get some sleep after all.

Considering who and where they were, Aue felt no trepidation as Kamacite came in close, nor when the other senshi's hands went to his face. When Kamacite leaned down and kissed him, Aue let him without trying in any way to take control of the gesture - after all, this was about his partner, not him.
After a moment the senshi of lemons did reach up with dirty, calloused hands to touch along the back of Kamacite's own and up the belled sleeves of his fuku.

"Are you ready to go?" Aue spoke only after Kamacite had pulled away, the implication that where his packmate was ready to go go was home...and that said home was the warehouse.

His hands weren’t shaking. At least not in that very moment. And he’d only noticed after Aue’s rough hands touched his. Kamacite wasn’t sure what to make of it. He felt as though everything he’d ever done that might have been considered bold had been done with a ton of anxiety dumped onto the action. Maybe it was because he did feel so exultant, even if the training itself probably didn’t seem that groundbreaking.

Slowly, he pulled back, his heart beating just as quickly as before, and his face red from training. He couldn’t read Aue’s expression. He’d just let Kamacite do as he wanted and said nothing of it. Was it really that easy? Did Aue not mind either way? Maybe Kamacite was just overthinking it, as he did many things.

Now, he drew in a breath and nodded his head a couple times, the words to indicate that he was ready to go was stuck somewhere in his throat. He had no intention of going back to his dorm to be by himself.
