Aue found the pairing of senshi versus lieutenant to be perfectly acceptable - it was a perfect means of operating their little gathering as well as a good experience for each pack member, providing them with an opportunity to spar with someone outside their usual purview. It also helped them hone techniques against other factions, since the officers were most like Knights, and the corrupt senshi most like white moon senshi. Aue approved, though his approval was neither desired nor required by his General.
Even the pairings, though not what he himself would have chosen, were not displeasing. The senshi of lemons noted Tourmaline's flash of disapproval, watched how Cornetite immediately dismissed Kamacite as nothing more than a trembling, fearful bit of nothing that would blow away with the first strong breeze.
Good. Yes, underestimate him. I want you to. We want you too. Kamacite is stronger than he looks, and much more dangerous than you realize...but you will learn. It will be interesting to hear, since I will be too busy to see. Smug satisfaction settled in Aue's chest as he bowed to Wolfeite, "As you wish, Sir."
Aue stepped to Vanadinite and bowed shortly, offering her respect as a packmate though she remained unproven to him. "As the General commands, Lieutenant." It was the only warning she would be given verbally, though the senshi of lemons did telegraph his intent to throw a punch fairly clearly when he didn't absolutely have to. The leg sweep he performed after, however, was not telegraphed.

He was fairly certain that he was going to be sick. He squeaked in surprise when Wolfeite grabbed hold of his wrist and pulled his hand away from his robes.
As if making him stop the gesture would make him suddenly not feel like he was going to faint, or his heart would stop. The pressure of his hand against his chest seemed to help him a little, but he knew Wolfeite could see that others considered it a sign of weakness.
Wolfeite had decided their sparing partners, and Kamacite had been paired with the Lieutenant that had come in with General Tourmaline. And the man seemed less than impressed by Kamacite, and for good reason. It wasn’t as though Cornetite had any reason to be anything but disappointed with his matchup.
Kamacite felt the color drain from his face, but gently pulled his wrist away so he could lower his head in a respectful bow to Wolfeite, and then glanced around Aue to the man in black and blue, noting how he was already summoning his weapon to his hand.
Warily, Kamacite gave a small bow to his opponent, his fingers fidgeting by his sides as he wanted to grip at his robes once more, but knew Wolfeite would be displeased. It was difficult for him to concentrate on Cornetite with the noises of the youma and the fight between Aue and Vanadinite going on behind him. He wished he could watch, because maybe he’d be able to pick up some pointers.
With purposeful movements, Kamacite set himself into a defensive stance, pushing his braided hair from his shoulder so it would stay mostly out of the way, and then darted forward, aiming the heel of his hand at the taller man’s chest.
The faster he could get this over with, the better.
