He looked to the circle. "Aye. I guess. I mean it's a few years old now, but it's this thing." And he fished out a dagger on a chain around his neck, black, twisted and wicked looking.
"Goes everywhere with me really, cannae get rid of it. Lets me see in the dark though and softens the fall a bit." he shrugged. "Can't complain about things that keep me alive."

He stared at the dagger and suddenly recalled Rep being able to see Melvin and Lawr making out during Death course despite it being dark. It felt so long ago and yet he still felt embarassed about it now. "Oh...that's the artifact that does all that. Useful."

"Aye." he said grimly. "I found it in some ******** cathedral thing. I've got a lot of artifacts now really." He extended his hand to demonstrate and on the hand not wearing his wedding band he'd gained a ring almost identical to the one the blue queen wore.
"I've got a ******** bunch. Too many probably, but whatever."
