My town is the oil capital of Scotland and has lots of granite - pretty dull really, no famous people that I can think of!

My town is known for the Newfoundland ferry , other then that umm nothing else that I know right now , its a boring town . sweatdrop

I live in a town populated mainly by public servants.
As a result it mainly appears to crank out public servants and artists (who often make their living off government grants apportioned by aforementioned public servants). I think one of our Olympic swimmers is also a local.
About it's only notable features are a large shopping mall and an exceptionally ugly library that won an architectural design award for reasons beyond my understanding but probably involving bribery.

I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It's known for lots of stuff. o.o
Mainly it's history. It's always played a big role our history, especially during the wars. And the icky harbour that I wouldn't be surprised you found a fish with three eyes in it ._.;
