"Hm, maybe," Brody said, and sniffed the kittens over before purring, hoping he'd reassure the little creatures. Regular cats were strange, but these two did seem rather nice. And tiny. "She might be able to, but... how do you live with a regular cat? Will they even get along with us when they're bigger?" He frowned thoughtfully, then sighed and shrugged. "...Not that we can leave them here, anyway." No, no it was too soon for this, but. Ah, well. Might as well have a little fun. "Did we just have a family?~"

" I grew up with cats. They seem to understand enough that I have no issues reading body language, and they'd learn our communication style." Kitty purred, grooming the kittens gently then blinked. Did he? Oh. OH. Well! "You know what? Yes we did." She giggled. "Our kittens are the best kittens, and we'll make sure they know it, too."

"Well, okay then," Broderick aid, and sniffed the little white kitten politely before licking the orange one on its head. "I guess ordinary cats are okay enough." He paused, then sighed. "I suppose we can share the rest of the watermelon with them..." He didn't like the idea of sharing his favorite treat, but the kittens were so thin. And he could take the little orange one home, he was certain his Myammy would adore another fuzzball, especially one that wouldn't talk back when he was in a mood. Or steal her snacks from the fridge. ... Or browse the internet when she was away from the house. (Not that doing so was easy, but. But SO MANY THING TO SEE!) "... We should get them out of the weather soon too, though."

"I can take the white home to my owner." Kitty agreed, and looked up. "But for now, let's go to my place. Ally and Tor are a page and senshi, so we can explain and Ally has plenty of cat food for Sandalwood around." The female smiled, and licked his cheek. "So they get real nutrition, not only treats." And slowly, Miss Kitty lifted the kitten by the ruff, purring to the kitten soothingly even as it seemed to finish the small piece of melon it had and mrewed protest at being carried before yawning, letting the adult ultimately win. "C'mon. Yiou push the tub, and we'll go."

"Oh! Maybe we could put the kittens in the tub and push them both home that way?" He asked thoughtfully. "They can eat the rest of the melon as we go!" And though it was painful to think of sacrificing that much delicious watermelon, it was worth it. Those two may just be regular kittens but they were still little babies, and no babies deserved to be hungry and frightened. ... Hopefully once they got home, their people would be understanding.

"That sounds good." Kitty nodded, and removed the lid, carrying it in her teeth next to the trash can before returning and gently placing both kittens in the tub, earning a mrew from the tiny white before she beamed, and gave Brody a kiss on his cheek. The day may have not gone as good as it looked and she might've had a scare... But it was ending even better than she could even imagine with a tomfriend, and the gift of adopting two kittens like them, and for her, it was a splendid day indeed.
