With a sigh, the shifter knew she was right. That didn't mean he agreed or wanted to accept it but it was just the truth. As Itotia started explaining the rest of what she needed to do, his lips pressed firmly together in a thin line. "Do you have any family? If they would let you stay with them then do so, I can worry about my own lodging as long as you have a roof over your head." He didn't know what yael was like. He only had an inkling of an idea of how yaeli were like. It was perhaps rather idealistic to ask, but well, if she was safe and comfortable, he could figure it out. "You know..." Kres started, "You could always tell them the gods took away your glow because you pleased them and are now favored. Though...that might not really help either." Kres laughed a bit. He didn't mean any harm by the comments. In all actuality, the young man was looking forward to learning more about their culture, just hopefully not at the cost of Itotia's relationship with her people. If what she was saying was true, which he automatically assumed so, then he didn't really need to worry about it.

Itotia paused in her discussion when he asked if she had family, and considered it for a moment. She had extended family, but had no faith in them letting her stay. No, it would be best to avoid that, as she didn't want to even consider her family's respond in a negative way. She simply shrugged, "No, I don't think it would make sense to stay with them..." she responded vaguely, dismissing it.
She grinned then at his next comment, "Oh yes, maybe if I was the first. By now I'd assume they already figured it out. I've seen a few Yaeli travelers who came and went..."
As they neared the Red, she could see it in the distance, "When do you wish to leave? I've heard it's pretty easy to get on a ship still, more people are interested in flying on those air ships instead of across the wild sea..."

"Oh, okay." The shifter replied simply. He was never one to push anybody if they didn't want to speak, Itotia especially. She'd tell him whatever she wanted him to know in time, he wasn't worried as some might be. Instead, his mind moved on. "I suppose you're right. I guess I haven't really realized how long we've known each other." And with that realization, how long he'd been in Oba; how long he'd been away from home. He wondered if she might ever go with him to visit his home but that was a conversation for the future.
"I don't really have any attachments here. I'd just have to retrieve my things from the inn and pay them out for the rest of the week. They were nice to take in a shifter when I'd first arrived, I want to make sure they know I'm thankful. Otherwise, I'm free to do as I wish." He thoughts turned to the new thing she'd mentioned. "The air ships seem a little more....dangerous than traditional boat travel. Plus I doubt the airships would stop in Yael when they have such a long voyage to Belrea." Even though he'd heard the voyage to and from yael was dangerous in its own right.

Itotia nodded once more, suddenly turning into business mode and pushing back the nerves and emotions. It was finally happening. She was finally coming home. Maybe, if she could push past her pride, she would tell Kresimir that she really did appreciate his offer. A familiar face would help her in the trying time to come.
"Very well, we will need to plan for a few days of travel on foot...and then ship. Let's meet at sunrise in the morning, then we can fully take advantage of the day."
It was on the tip of her tongue, and Itotia took a moment to gather the courage.
"Thank you."
And with that, she spun on her heel and walked to the Red, needing to speak with Aseara and let her know that finally, she was going to take her vacation to head home.

The sudden, though small, change might have once worried the shifter but he'd grown used to Itotia's little things like that. It seemed she was pleased with the ability to be able to leave soon which concerned him ever so slightly. If he hadn't ran into her here at the market, would she have vine to find him to say goodbye? Whatever the answer might have been, Kresimir would not dwell on it. He would see her tomorrow morning and that made his heart beat a little faster. When he got back to the inn, Kres thought, he'd have to see how much he had saved and perhaps arrange transport for part of their land travel. It would just depend. He nodded along letting her give the game plan, it all sounded good to him. The idea of spending so much time with her made him nervous and excited so at the same time. But those two words made him she he'd made the right choice.
"Thank you. See you tomorrow." He said as she turned and walked into the Red. Tomorrow started a big adventure, possibly the biggest. And this shifter was ready for whatever challenges it held.
