Ever stuck to tea for completely unrelated reasons -- simply because he preferred his own cheap Earl Grey, now and then. He made a faint noise, drawing on the cigarette again and watching Zeke in a sideways manner. "They dose the coffee and cookies. And everyone gives me a hard time for not eating enough."

Zeke was quiet for a moment after that, though his arms may have tightened minutely around the blonde, pressing him in even closer against his body. "Because our weapons can't protect us from malnutrition. You still need to eat."

"I eat." He waved it off a little, drawing on the cigarette again -- and then he snuffed it out, catching Zeke to untangle himself enough that they could walk, anyway. "Anything else you need to do today? Or maybe we should get you back to the room..."

Zeke snorted softly. "You nibble." At best, but it was significantly better now than it had been after he'd gotten impaled. It helped that Zeke had figured out what the Life did add didn't like eating

He thought about the question though, allowing himself to be untangled, with some reluctance. "I don't think so." Heading back to the room sounded like a splendid idea, and Zeke even withdrew a little more so they could start heading in that direction more easily.

"You need me to carry you?" The wry twist to his voice was definitely needling, but it came with a sideways flick of his eyes to make sure Zeke was actually okay. And if he said 'yes', Ever would probably do it.

The wrongness of it made Ever shudder just a little bit -- and if Zeke was planning on anything other than sleep, he was about to find that there were things that turned Ever off. Still, he stooped to toss Zeke easily over one shoulder and start back toward the dorms.
