“Oh! What a fun sphere!” Caelian nodded and smiled as the girl seemed to have reached at least a small landing of safety in her mind…she at least didn’t seem to be as upset, and the thought brought a wave of relief through the squire.

“It might be a good idea to talk to your family, they can help you. They know you, honey. But you can also talk to me whenever you’d like. No matter what time it is or how trivial you think your need is, please don’t hesitate.”

She stood up and offered a hand out to the girl, grinning. “As for dinner, it’s not too much trouble at all. We’ll have a good night. I promise. What would you like to eat? Anything you can think of, and I’ll try to make it happen. I can’t…I can’t promise perfection on anything, but I’ll do my best.”
This was going to be okay. The girl would be okay.

…Perhaps Caelian had just really…saved someone.

It was a strange, though comforting thought.
