Torva gave a hearty laugh, "Yeah, it kinda is." Stretching out before crossing his arms behind his head he said, "I'm probably just lucky since I'm a member of well known troupe called Wanderlust Bizzare. Hm? So what do you do for a living?" He found himself asking curiously when she mentioned how she should have picked up entertaining.

"Of course! My grandfather would probably have my hide if I was to do anything stupid with the guns that he had specially made for me." He'd likely take said guns away too and that wasn't something that he wanted to risk since he rather liked them. He could only use them during real shows and practice with his grandfather... or maybe if he was in grave danger and needed to defend himself? Other then that they were to remain in their holsters. As she mentioned having to see a full show he nodded his head rapidly, "That would be fun! You can see the tricks that my family can do! My grandfather is an amazing trick-shooter and I'm hoping to be as good as him someday... and then there is my parents who have a knife throwing act." He said, only too happy to talk up his family it would seem.

"So you'll come with me? That's great! It's always far more fun to eat with other people then it is to eat alone. As such I'm happy that you'll come with me." He said in a happy tone of voice, his smile only seeming to grow as she introduced herself, "Chrys? That's a cute name! It's nice to meet you, Chrys."

Chrysanthe tilted her head thoughtfully, "I guess I'm still new to the area then." Because she had never heard of such a Troupe, but then again what troupes did she know in general? This man was the first entertainer that she had truly interacted with in Belrea. Most of the time she simply passed through the streets like a ghost who just came and went without lingering for long at all. Disrupting her thoughts with his question Torva caught Chrysanthe off guard and she found herself flushing with embarrassment, "Uh...traveling?" She replied before glancing away, "I'm not too invested in anything right now so I thought I would see the world while I was young." Here she was talking to someone who greatly loved their occupation and was steady in it as a member of a troupe while she just wandered around aimlessly. Not very impressive at all.

"Wow." Chrysanthe found herself glancing back to Torva with surprise, "So it's a big family thing for you? That's interesting..." What would it be like for your whole family to be close enough to travel and entertain as a group? That would explain how he found his place in life so easily. The thought made her smile ever so slightly, a sigh of faint relief, as she realized that perhaps her not knowing her place in life wasn't so unusual. It just happened that he had been born into something while she had simply been born at the end of a group of nomads and hunters who held no sway over her future at all.

"Is it?" Chrys gave him a faint smile, "I never really eat with others so I don't really know much about how much more fun it is to eat with others." The hybrid took a few steps and gestured towards Torva, "Since we're talking about it we may as well go to the food, right? So lead the way, Torva." She wanted to look cool about it, but honestly she felt rather flustered in this situation. She had never shared a meal with someone like this before and it was definitely a strange experience for the girl.

"Traveling? That's what you do?" Torva asked, his eyes going wide with delight at the idea of being able to do that for a living. Sure, his family did that to a degree, but only around Belrea. Obviously she must do so in all manner of places since she'd made it as far as their home in Belrea. Giving a grin he said, "That's pretty neat! I was planning to try to do a bit of traveling myself before... well, all that stuff with the bug mages or whatever their called. It seems travel has become a bit more restricted and the troupe decided to cancel the trip that I was hoping to go on with my aunt for the moment."

At the mention of his family he said, "Yep! It's something our family has been doing for generations. It's the members born into the family as well as spouses that marry into the family if they wish to join us. I'm pretty curious if my brother Tylarl's girlfriend is going to join us one day or not. She's nice so it'd be fun I think!" If his brother ever got brave enough to propose that was he thought to himself with a little chuckle.

"Eh?" His thoughts seemed to come to a halt as she said she never really ate with others. He found himself starring at her for a moment before he said, "Geez, that makes me want to invite you over for dinner too. You can eat with my family! It's always a spectacle for sure. So many people gathered, talking at once, eating, animals running around and getting treats from the younger family members." He said, wondering what a loner type would think of such a display. It would kinda be fun to see he thought to himself as he started forward, leading the way to where they would be eating.

"Eh?" Chrysanthe found herself blinking in surprise at his enthusiasm. Oh, no no no! She wanted to protest to explain that it was more like drifting around rather than an actual occupation, but then she found her words dying on her tongue. Why bother when he seemed so amused by her decision to travel? It wasn't like it mattered if she expressed herself more or not after all. The mention of the bug mages brought the budding frustration to an icy standstill as the fear of whatever those things were sent a faint shiver down her back. Even if Chrysanthe tried her hardest to be a prickly badass the thought of being taken away by some dark creatures to never be seen again was still saddening. Despite her family's flaws and the gap she felt between herself and her full wind brothers the girl held some fondness for them and honestly wouldn't wish such a fate upon any soul. She studied the man's face for any signs of the same tangle of feelings she felt at the mention of the creatures before sighing, "Well I'm certain you'll see Tendaji soon enough, but lucky me I guess else I wouldn't be gettin' a dinner and a show right now." The words slipped from her before she could stop herself and Chrysanthe felt that familiar hint of a flush warming up the back of her neck and along the tip of her finned ears, "I mean can't ever complain about free food, right?" She coughed and glanced away, "So about that show of yours..."

"Does anyone in your family ever not join the show?" She asked with a thoughtful purse of the lips, "I mean don't get me wrong it must be great to have family bonding all the time but surely not everyone was fine and dandy with that? Or do you all just continue going with it and getting lovers to join in?" Was it that common for families to be so...close? Or was her family just a messed up wreck? Or was it just her being the stubborn a** about things by leaving when she could have stayed at her mother's side? It was only a second before Chrysanthe shook her head, being oppressed was not her thing after all and that was all she felt at her mother's side.

Chrysanthe found herself staring back at him in turn, "What?" She snipped at him with a hand on her hip before his next statement had her gaping at him for a split moment, "You-" She studied him for a second before her mouth curled into an amused grin, "Are a strange person who really loves inviting total strangers to places it seems. But from the description of your family I guess it doesn't matter since any stranger probably would get swept away into that chaos." She smiled towards him, "Is that the plan? Take me to dinner then invite me to your house to be swept away?" It was an innocent tease and Chrys blamed her hunger for letting her tongue become so loose. It was rather hard to be focused on being icy towards this warm hearted man when the smell of delicious food loomed above them. They were close to the place and if her stomach had its way it would have ripped from her blouse by now to go and shove as much as possible into its starving depths. A bit dramatic, but Chrys couldn't help it when the stomach pains made her think about all the food she hadn't been eating lately.

Giving a nod of his head Torva said, "Yeah, once it's figured out how to deal with them I'm sure that restrictions will be lifted and I will have a chance of getting to travel again. It's not like I want to leave for very long or go really far or anything. It's more like I want to see the 'new world' and see what entertainers are like over there. After that I mean to return home with the knowledge to help our troupe become that much better." It was the plan at least, one he hoped would come to fruition as he really wanted to be a help to his group.

Giving a bit of a laugh at her mention of dinner and a show, the former of which being free, he said, "Free food is always a good motivator. As for a show... you've seen most of my tricks that I can show off in public. Unless you want me to walk on my hands for a while?"

Turning to look over at Chrys at the question of family not joining the troupe and he gave a nod, "A couple here and there? I think there was... hm, it was an uncle. He left when I was a youngling because he fell in love with this baker and decided that was where he wanted to be. I guess he didn't think his spouse would be happy if continued to travel all over Belrea without her." He gave a smile, "Not as many leave though since it's a pretty stark contrast between troupe life and... ahh... regular life? Is that the right thing to call it?" The troupe was normal to Torva but not so much to other people who tended to see it as something really strange, hence the name of their troupe.

Grinning from ear to ear Torva said, "I am a pretty odd one." He got that a lot so it wasn't as though it was something that would bother him. If anything it was funny to him since his antics were completely normal to him. Giving a nod he said, "Sure is! You'll come by for dinner, get swept up, and POOF you will be married into the family in no time." He said with a laugh, as though it was that easy. Lifting a hand he pointed forward and said, "There it is! That little place there. Looks like we missed the afternoon rush so we won't have to worry about a bunch of being being ahead of us." Which was always the best if you asked him since it meant getting food sooner then later.

"I see." Chrys pursed her lips thoughtfully. It wasn't like she had even thought that far ahead. If he wanted to come home quickly then she was the opposite to the degree that she wondered if she would ever leave Belrea willingly. So far the land had only shown her wonders never experienced before in her homeland and there was far less disdain save for what anyone from Tendaji would experience because all of them were different to these Belreans. Though at Torva's explanation of why he wanted to travel Chrysanthe found herself snorting, "I don't know if you want to see them." She flushed as she quickly raised a hand to cover her traitorous mouth, "I mean they are great, just I knew one or two who were rather obnoxious is all. Still, the animals and the dancing and the rope acts and other things they do are amazing to see." She moved her hand away from her mouth to rub the back of her neck sheepishly, "We definitely don't have magical guns in our shows either." What we have are annoyingly arrogant guys who like to get into trouble and steal kisses and then flee for their lives... Not that she would say such a thing out loud but the memory still left a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach.

"It is, isn't it?" Chrys found herself smiling ever so faintly towards Torva again before quickly shaking her head, "Oh, please no! I wouldn't want you to do that especially when you've just performed." That would just be silly and then they'd be getting attention and she truly wasn't that fond of attention. And how could he truly direct them to their dinner if he was upside down the whole way? Such a goofball.

She tilted her head thoughtfully as Torva gave her a bit of his family history, "I see, I suppose falling in love isn't such an awful reason to leave." She shrugged, "Not that I would know anything about such a useless thing." Love, who needed it? A waste of space and a chain on your freedom and time! She did raise a brow at his assumption, "Depends on that type of regular life you're living, I guess." Regular life could be exciting too if you were a traveler or something else, "Maybe Belrea is too tame in comparison to my home for you to think that~" She teased lightly.

He just couldn't be bothered, could he? Chrysanthe had to hand it to Torva he seemingly was unmoved by any of her teasing, "Eh?" A gasp escaped her as he agreed, "Sto-stop teasing!" She smacked a hand in the air towards him, "Someone would really think that you would want to marry me or somethin' by sayin' that! Cause who else would want ta marry me in your family?" Her natural 'country' accent slipped out in her surprise, "Sheesh, what are you thinkin' saying things like that so casually?"

"Anyways let's go get that food, okay?" Chrysanthe plowed on ahead of him to get away from the spreading warmth of a flush that threatened to burn the tip of her ears. He was so strange joking about things like that! She knew he was just teasing, but gods it unnerved her! She didn't know whether to be insulted that he found it so easy to joke about such things with her or just...well she didn't know!

Torva cocked his head to one side in a curious manner as he was told that she didn't know if he wanted to see them, making him wonder why, and then she told him. Hmm, she knew some that were obnoxious, huh? He gave a thoughtful humming sound, wondering if he should ask which ones those people were so he could avoid them... but decided against it. What were the odds that in a great big words that he'd run into the one or two obnoxious people? Not to mention that he didn't want to skip his trip when she was suddenly describing things that were 'amazing to see' which was the whole reason he wanted to go. After a moment of thought he said, "I will take your words to heart and be careful." Good to know that there were people out there that were difficult to deal with, that way he would be ready just in case.

"If you're sure." He said with a grin when he was told that she didn't need to walk on his hands to entertain her. He'd do it if she really made the request but at the same time he was glad for the break. Once he recharged on food he'd be ready for more but for now he was good to just walk the normal way for a bit.

Crossing his arms behind his head as they walked he listed to her as Chrys as she spoke, giving her a glance as she referred to love as a 'useless thing' that she didn't know about. He looked ahead for a moment then said, "I can't say I've had any run ins with love myself yet, I'm still young yet. Some day I'm sure!" He'd run into many cute and beautiful people, those that he found himself enjoying hanging out with, but nothing like his brother Tylarl and his girl. Maybe someday though, "It's an adventure I'm looking forward to for sure!"

Giving a little laugh as the girl set to waving a hand at him he said, "I only speak the truth! And it's not just me you need to think about, here are people much more flirty then I am, so you best be careful." He said in a joking manner, giving the girl a grin. He blinked a couple times as Chrys set to running ahead without him and he moved to hurry along after the girl, chuckling all the while, "Alright, alright! I will behave and we can talk food instead! I promise!" He called after her as they arrived at their destination.

"A bit optimistic, eh?" Chrysanthe just chuckled, "Well good luck then I hope you find someone great to love. As for me I'll stay far, far away." The hybrid flicked some stray bangs back out of her face before continuing on. She had seen enough flirts and ruined romances to get a bad taste in her mouth about such ideas. It seemed wasteful, made you weak and open to trusting someone who would just stab you in the back later. So no thanks. Yet being so off about love didn't stop her from getting flustered at the man's teases.

"I'll keep the warning in mind." She shook her head, "Not like I'm lettin' anyone flirt with me easily, but why invite me to your family's house for dinner? That sounds like a load of trouble." She frowned and shook her head once more, "And if they are like you then gods have mercy..." Chrysanthe muttered under her breath though her gaze wasn't upset, rather she had a faint look of amusement in her expression. They probably would be too energetic and doing tricks with each other than notice her for long and if anyone got too close well she did have her crossbow. Not that she was prone to shooting people....always. Chrysanthe smirked before pushing the doors and walking towards an empty table, "This spot is as good as any, right?"

After setting her crossbow on the ground against her chair Chrsyanthe sat with her legs crossed at the ankles and her elbows on the table, "So what do we order here?" She asked as she studied Torva for a split second before glancing about the place. It seemed Belrea had some more class than all the countries she had been in before this. Most of those places had been taverns with a much looser atmosphere than here...

"Thank you! I hope my luck holds out when it comes to such things." He said with a smile, not minding that she thought him optimistic. He just had to keep his eyes open was all he thought to himself before grinning. He had hope since he had a lot of luck thus far when it came to finding and meeting with cute girls at the very least. At her statement about staying far away herself he said, "Seems like a waste since you're so cute but if you're not interested I see no reason why you should force yourself. You should do what makes you happy!" It was what Torva tended to do.

"Hm? Why? Well you said you were used to eating alone so I figured I'd invite you to what has to be the polar opposite of alone, which is eating with my family." He gave a little smile as he said the words, hoping that she accepted the answer and possibly the invitation. If not now then someday at least.

Following along after her as she went inside and picked a table he gave a nod, "This looks good." He said, happily sitting across from her, "Well, that's the fun. We don't really have to order much. They do a stew of the day and we will get a big, heaping bowl full of that, some bread, and then a dessert of our pick. I'd suggest the cookies or pie, both are amazing! The cookies have chocolate and dried fruit in them while the pies are made from various fresh fruits."

It was long after he said that when an older Geian woman with gray in her hair appeared, setting a basket of bread between them on the table and asked in a friendly tone, "Are the two of you having the full meal today, Torva? Or are you just here for treats again?"

"We're here for both!" He glanced at Chrys and asked, "Both sound good to you too?"

Chrysanthe could only shake her head at the man's innocence. Didn't he know that love usually could bite you just as badly as it could warm you? The hybrid shrugged her shoulders, "I just hope you know what type of person you're looking for." She smirked towards him, "Would be a shame to find someone and walk right past them without realizin' it." His next words only caused her cheeks to flush lightly as she moved past him. Whatever made her happy, huh? Chrys wasn't even certain of what that was anymore. Ever since coming to Belrea she had found herself calmer, more at ease with the world but at the same time she knew that a change of scenery wasn't going to change everything in her past. She was still who she was after all. Who knew when things would catch up to her again?

"So if I'm not used to something you'll just invite me to do it? Do you know how many things I'm not accustomed to that could get you in trouble?" Like what if she wasn't used to dancing, would he take her dancing? If she wasn't used to magical displays would he keep showing them off? Or if she wasn't used to kissing would he kiss her? Chrysanthe thankfully shut her mouth before any of those silly questions left her lips and glanced away with a flush, "It's just strange to me is all..." She admitted sheepishly, "I'm not used to someone being so...open? You're too nice for your own good, Torva."

Crossing her ankles Chrysanthe settled into her chair and simply glanced around, "Sounds good." She found herself admitting as her stomach gave a little grumble at the list of food, "Though I can't guarantee how much I can eat I'll try my best if you're willing to provide." She smiled lightly at the Geian woman with a hint of a shy blush to her cheeks, "Thank you, ma'm." Hesitantly she reached for a piece of bread and tore a bit off and twisted it in her fingers thoughtfully, "Sometimes the places are a bit like home...i could have had this in Sauti..." She confessed before bringing the bread to her lips and swallowing it. Mmm, that was good. There was nothing like freshly baked bread - that much Chrysanthe would give anyone.

Giving a nod of his head Torva said, "Thanks! Here's to hoping I am lucky enough to notice the one meant for me when they cross paths with me. I wonder how I will know though? Something like in the stories I'd assume." He gave a grin just thinking about it. He'd heard that you just knew because your heart went all crazy and you couldn't think of anyone but that person. That was how it was with his parents from what they'd told everyone, making it sound almost too romantic.

"Hm? Well... I might not take you on a crime spree if that's what you mean. I have a certain reputation that I should keep up. Other things should be fine though." He said with a laugh, "Heh, too nice, huh? I'm gonna take that as a compliment. So, thanks!" He didn't see it as being a bad thing, being nice, so it could only be a compliment to him.

After the woman took their order, with Torva taking the lead to order both some pie and cookies for them, he turned to get himself a piece of the bread as well. As she mentioned the place being like home he found himself asking, "What is Sauti like? And the rest of Tendaji? I have to admit since I've started meeting with visitors from there I can help but to be really curious about everyone's opinions of the place as well as what the land itself is like."

Chrysanthe chuckled, "What are they supposed to glow or somethin?" She glanced towards him with wry amusement as she tore into some more bread, "Or do you both break out into songs about your forever after?" She shook her head her pink tipped curls bouncing about before she stilled and studied her bread, "From my personal experience I'd say it's too complicated to be that easy. No one ever knows in a timely fashion - sometimes they even learn when its too late and the person has already moved far, far along." She rolled her shoulders before giving Torva a small smile, "Not that I would know anything like that personally since I avoid it completely. It's too hard to take care of yourself in this world let alone help another person out along the way."

"Pfft." Chrysanthe just flicked a stray breadcrumb towards him, "Nothin' ever gets you down, does it?" She quipped lightly as she leaned back in her chair and patted at her tunic to free it of any other crumbs, "I could say you're the silliest man I've ever met and somehow even that would become praise....that's some talent you have." As she settled back in her seat Chrysanthe studied him thoughtfully, "Still you really should be careful since someone could always abuse that niceness of yours."

Growing quiet she studied the bread once more before blinking in surprise at his question, "Sauti and Tendaji?" She replied slowly as if balancing how to best answer in her mind, "Both are rough places - Sauti usually has a slight chill to it because of the Northern air from Zena and many people live nomadic lives there. We don't have cities or fancy cafes as you do - just hardy hunters with taverns dotted here and there with some villages in between." Her lips pursed in a slight frown, "Personally it's a lot more welcoming here, but if you're looking for more civilized places to entertain in then my suggestion would be Oba to the South. Both Oba and Matori have a lot more people and cities where entertainers perform a lot more than in the Northern regions - not that they never pass through mind you, it's just a bit harder to do so in the winter months at least." She paused and glanced at him sheepishly, "You were wanting to know about the best areas for entertainers right? Or is there something more that you wanted to know? Since you're treating me to a meal I suppose I can do my best to answer a few questions..."

"Hmm, well the idea of my one and only glowing when I got close would be pretty convenient... though breaking into song sounds like a fun way of knowing that the person is the one for you as well. Think I should practice that so I can serenade with song?" He asked with a grin. He wasn't the best singer, nothing like some members of their troupe, but it was something he did from time to time, mostly to entertain his younger sisters. More so when they were little though and were more easily won over then nowadays when one needed some sort of present to really win their favor. With practice though maybe he could make his voice worth while enough for the hypothetical task that Chrys had made up.

"Naw, not really. Well, I suppose the trip to Tendaji got me down a little but other then that not too terribly much can. I suppose I am just that upbeat a guy." He said, tilting his head as she mentioned that she could call him the 'silliest man she'd met' and it would be praise. Giving a nod and a moment of thought he finally said, "Yeah, I think I could twist that into praise if I said that since I'm from a troupe of entertainers that being silly is beneficial."

Torva set to eating a bit more in the way of the bread as Chrys explained to him about Tendaji and where the best places were that he might be able to find other entertainers. So he'd have to travel some even after he traveled to Tendaji, huh? He gave a thoughtful sound before he said, "I have to admit after meeting first Neryssa and now you I am quite interested in Matori. I wonder if I should go there seeking entertainers there since I find your tribe to be quite interesting and pretty."

Chrysanthe could only roll her eyes in amusement, "You better get right on that then. I'm sure the one person who doesn't treat you like you've lost a few marbles for breaking into song for them at random will have high chances of being your one and only." A light flush decorated the back of her neck as she thought about singing. Her mother had once had her sing when she was younger but Chrysanthe had made certain to never let anyone hear her again. She could only grin as she studied her dinner companion - it seemed he wouldn't care for the whole world to hear him belt out a few verses.

"I suppose I've met my antithesis." She commented lightly, "But I suppose that's a good thing. We wouldn't want the world to flood with grumps like me." Chrysanthe leaned back in her chair as she glanced around, "At this rate I may just eat all the bread before any stew gets here." She commented teasingly before slowly reaching for another piece of bread to pop into her mouth. Who needed to care about images and manners when one was a hungry traveler? She would gladly take a few crumbs around her mouth if necessary in order to fill an empty stomach.

"Eh." Her gaze darkened ever so slightly at the mention of Matori, "It's not really my homeland, I was raised in Sauti since my mother lived there." She confessed in clipped tones, "And if you go to Matori then be careful - they'll woo you and take advantage of you before disappearing. Thankfully you're not a woman so I suppose you don't have to worry about getting burdened with an extra package from your adventures but still. I suppose it can be a pretty place if you just watch out for some people though that's true of any place." Just don't be like her mother and sleep with some Matori man and ruin your relationship and give birth to a hybrid child who stands out like a sore thumb...then perhaps he could have fun. Not that Chrysanthe would say that. The girl could only shake her head and shove those traitorous thoughts aside, "But you've met a Matori before?" She questioned with a raised brow. So was it another hybrid or did he simply not notice the obvious differences she would have from the other girl he had met? Or did he just not care? Who knew with these Belreans?

Torva couldn't help but to laugh, "Hey, you never know. I might get lucky and whoever my lucky person is will break into song alongside me! That way I won't look crazy all alone." That was if he was a really lucky man he thought to himself, unable to help but to grin. He could only imagine what that day would be like for everyone watching if such a crazy event were actually to transpire.

"You're antithesis? Heh, cool. That makes me sound really awesome! Though... I don't know, you don't seem like a huge grump to me. You'd think you'd of run away a lot sooner if you were." He'd had fun with her so far so she couldn't be that much of a grump... or at least that was what he thought.

As the girl seemed to sound more then a little displeased over Matori he blinked a couple times then gave a smile and said, "Ah! I see it now." The grumpy side of her that was, though even then he couldn't really say that he didn't want to be right here hanging out with her at the moment. As she warned him about getting wooed in Matori he said, "That would be... interesting. If I went to Matori and came home with a kid I think that my family would never let me go anywhere alone ever again." He doubted it would happen but he supposed one never knew where they might end up.

"Yep! I met a nice Matorian girl named Neryssa not too long ago. She didn't try to woo me but maybe that is more of a thing that happens when in Matori?" He didn't know enough about the place to really know for certain but maybe Chrys knew.
