"It's on, then," he said, eyes flickering to the blonde for a second, glad he didn't ask for any kind of explanation. "And I've got nothing to hide, but it's a waste of a chance at a favor."
He nodded sagely and straightened out when he took his turn. "Mostly been rotating around on the duty roster if I'm not resting. Just wanna make sure this thing," and he briefly gestured at his scarred arm, "heals up right. Fear shield helps a ton but just being careful."
"Feels like I'm going in circles with the shifts though. Still haven't been to the jungle outpost or the labs, or even the infirmary. It's probably a longer list, too, just not sure what I'm missing."

"The jungle outpost isn't good for a recovering arm. You have to climb up and down a very long ladder. The labs are easier. Minipet walking. Cleaning. Stocking up rooms in the infirmary. If you ever need some assistance or if you want to follow me for a day, I'd welcome the company and help." And it would monopolize his time.
He pulled out another piece.

The brunette listened carefully, genuinely interested in what other duty assignments were out there. How he got stuck in the cycle he was in, he had no idea, but an invitation to break that cycle was incredibly welcome.
He took his turn and added another piece to his pile.
"It's fine, whatever breaks the routine. I've got bandages. But I've never spent any real time in the labs so I'm curious." Rhys narrowed his eyes a little skeptically before asking, "You'd really be cool with someone following you around for a whole day? I'll be asking all kinds of questions and s**t and probably not be any help 'cause, like I said, never really did anything in the labs before."
Opportunities to learn a little more about the other divisions were something he'd never pass up on.

"I enjoy company and asking questions is great. I enjoy conversation to speed up the day. Not everyday I get to feel knowledgeable abiut things. Whenever you want we can do the rounds."

Rhys took his turn while he thought the offer over.
"Sounds like a win-win, I guess," he said, leaning back a little bit to stretch and fight down a yawn. "Let's do it. Not sure when, but when I figure it out I'll let you know."
Surprisingly the tower still looked fairly solid, and the trainee began to wonder how much longer his luck would last.

"Just dm me on Twitter or text me using the directory if you want. I'm fine with whatever you wish. I'm always in the labs anyways so it's not a stretch to bring anyone along with me."
He pulled out another block more slowly now, clenching his teeth when it seemed to wobble uncomfortable before it stilled.
"Do you only have bandages? Have you done any of the other courses?"

Rhys squinted as the tower teetered a little bit and eventually let out a long breath when it steadied. He took his turn with a good amount of confidence, somehow getting a piece without too much issue. It might have had something to do with the fact that Melvin's move had left a center piece rather loose--an easy grab.
"Alright, I'll do that, thanks." The finalization of the offer got a smirk out of him as he set his piece aside. "And I've done the Sun and Mist courses already. Been meaning to get to the Moon and Death ones but haven't gotten to 'em yet."
He nodded at Melvin before leaning forward, propping his chin in his hand. "I'm guessing you've done 'em all?"

Melvin tensed, a weak smile caught on his features as he froze with a impending sense of guilt. "I......actually haven't done them all." He muttered, shoulders hunched as he reached out and slipped out another piece of the tower.
"I....just have done clearance for daggers, torches, and bandages." He wasn't setting a good example as a senior hunter.

His brows rose a little in question when the other admitted that he still had two courses he hadn't done yet. He took his turn first, considering the possibilities of why, but ultimately shrugged. Whatever reason Melvin had for putting off the last two, it wasn't any of his business.
"Not judging, dude, no worries. We can only carry two at a time anyway, so." The brunette paused then, a thoughtful look on his face for a moment, then asked, "So that leaves...the Mist and Death courses?" Hopefully he got it right. "Any plans to do 'em at all?"

"I had been hoping to get my clearance in every one. Kind of a bad move to be in the runic department and not even have all your clearances. Plenty of tests and missions need specific types and I'm not useful if I don't have them." He looked over at him. "Care to come with? I hate doing courses on my own. I think the overseeing techs laugh less when it's split between two people."
