Noah laughed and sat up enough to take the glass. "No, I missed the last one, and the one before that was a year before I was born, I think," he answered. "So this is gonna be the first one I can watch. How about you?"

"There's been a few partials, I think, but I never actually saw them so this is my first real experience with one." He took a sip from his cup then sat it down. He placed a hand on Noah's knee and smiled fondly at him. "I'm just glad I get to experience it with you, actually makes it mean something yanno?"

Noah likewise took a sip of wine and put the cup down. "Yeah," he answered, ducking his head a little and smiling shyly. "I'm glad we can see this one together. Thanks for poking me about it," he added.

"Of course," Al said, smile relaxing a bit to a calmer look. "Don't want all those life nerds teasing you for missing out on a science."

Noah laughed and leaned over to kiss Al before picking his wine cup back up. "What time is the eclipse supposed to be at its peak here?"

"Soon, Actually..." He grabbed the glasses and offered them to Noah and leaned into him once he freed his hands up for a lazy kiss on the cheek and a cuddle. "Let me know?"

Noah put the glasses on and looked up, leaning comfortably against Al. "Whoa," he said after a moment. "It's like a bite out of the sun. That's really cool. Here, you should see," and he looked away and gave the glasses back to Al.

Al put them on and pressed his cheek into Noah's shoulder while looking up. "It almost looks fake," he stared at it for a while before looking down to offer them back. "It's like a crescent moon during the day. Even the sky seems weird."

"I can't tell if it's really a little dimmer or if I just think it is because I know what's happening." Noah put the glasses back on and stared with fascination at the crescent sun. "We should take a picture or something," he suggested.

"Wont hurt our phones will it?" Al asked at the suggestion, already fishing his out anyway.

Noah stuck his tongue out briefly. "Does it usually hurt cameras to take pictures of the sun?" he asked, teasingly.

"I don't know," he pressed his body against Noah's in a subtle body bump. "And you know better than to flash that at me," he smirked at Noah but let it go. Noah was wise to him at the brief show as leaving his tongue unguarded for long has resulted in attack on many previous occasions. For now though, he was just enjoying the relaxed moment with him. He took his phone out and aimed it up at the sun but it looked like a normal sun.
"Not working..."
He lowered his phone, "I think we'll need to take them through the glasses?"

"It doesn't hurt cameras," Noah clarified, and smirked a little at the bump, lightly elbowing Al's side. He took the glasses off and handed them over. "Here, try it," he suggested. "We can see how it turns out."

Al took the glasses and held them in front of his phone to take a picture. It looked really small and distant but it appeared to be there. Al offered his phone back to Noah with the glasses. "What do you think?" He asked, definitely not a skilled photographer and Noah seemed to have a better idea at this than him. "Hey Noah," he suddenly said distantly, while peering off at the horizon and jungles in the distance. "You ever wonder what would have happened if we didn't come here?"

"Hey, there it is," Noah said, and tapped on the phone, touching the small dark bite out of the disc of the sun. He accepted the glasses back, and held up the phone to attempt a picture himself. His didn't come out much different from Al's. At the question, he stopped, his attention drawn back away from the phone and the eclipse. "Sometimes, a little," he replied, almost hesitantly. "I guess I would've been in college now." A pause. "I guess we probably wouldn't have known each other."
