Just as Denahi was about to lunge for his prey again, the large form of Nuri stopped him greatly. Narrowing his eyes, the lion was about to go around her, but as her cold order gushed from her maw, his ears drooped immediatley. Claws retracting at that very moment allowed Denahi's form to move lower to the ground in a more submissive way.
"...why?" He had to ask. After all, just by the body language she showed to this other firekin early in the days could be proven she would've attacked him as well? Why couldn't he just finish his fun?

Finally turning her eyes onto Teleka, Nuri just starred at him, giving nothing in the glance, before turning away just as quickly. When Denahi responded, she made enough of an effort to roll her eyes, and she slowly shook her head.
"Denahi, you are to listen to every order I give you, not ask why, nor," She put a sharp accent on that word, "Go ahead with your own ploys and pretend I gave you permission. Attacking a member of the pride that is a higher status leaves you open for death." She let out a slight huff at that, showing that she would do no such thing, though only thoes close enough to know her could catch that action, meaning only Denahi would know that threat was not one fully supported.

Teleka watched Nuri move away and he smiled though not a viewable smile. He then turned to leave, after all he had a pregnant girl waiting for him somewhere.

Denahi always hated that rule, but of course, was he ever one to follow the rules? Nope, not at all.
For once in a very long time, the charcoal male glared up towards Nuri. "You mean to tell me this...lion," he was about to say thing, "is higher than me? See the way he acts, hmm? Rogue life has turned him to a loving feline." He hissed out, tail thrashing violently. He only spoke what he thought was the truth, too bad his stature of the pride was low. The charcoal male snorted, growling quietly as he walked past Nuri, something he had never done before.

Her eyes narrowing and darkening considerably, she seemed to represent the calm before the storm as she let him step by her. In that sudden moment he had moved out of her vision, she turned to her side and slammed her claws down hard on his tail, a growl moving from her throat as she hissed to him soon after.
"I told you to never disobay me, Denahi. I would think you would have learned from the mark I left you last time, though I sadly have overestimated you. Maybe this time, you will prove to me that you can comprehend my laws." Lifting her paw, she stalked around to his front, and let her claws spring to life, "Everyone will know you have made a grave mistake."

A loud yowl erupted from Denahi's maw as the larger lioness caught his tail. His ears pinned back onto his skull as well as his claws unsheathing from instinct. Embrace the pain, his mind screamed at him as his eyes focused into Nuri's darkened ones. Only one thing could be registered from his facial expression.
...Fear.

She saw nothing except the fear, and a smirk arose from her maw. With one slash, she dragged her claws across his face from his right cheek to the left temple under his mane. She didn't care if she got his eye, though she suspected he would close them before she struck, and as she pulled back, she licked her claws clean before turning her back on him.
"Do not disobay me again, or else you will die." She left that threat in the air before moving away from the oasis, and towards home. Denahi would have to get back on his own.

Bracing for the attack, he could only count the seconds before the claw struck. Three, two, one..bam! It felt like nothing at first; Denahi had managed to close his eye befor ethe foriegn object flew into it, marring it as well. It was only about five seconds later when the intial pain began. Snarling, not in anger but in pain, the charcoal lion's paw was thrown to his face, trying to rid the stinging pain that was beginning to throb.
The eye that had not been in the path of Nuri opened slowly, glancing at the ground that held a few spots of blood. His ears drooped dramatically, hearing the firekin female leave. As both paws touched the ground, his body slid onto the hot sand, both the pain physically and mentally began to show.
Denahi was worn out. He was a young father, not able to see his children because of the stupid mistakes he'd down in the past. And now, who was he to blame for it? Himself and only himself. The truth had finally dawned on him.
He was now a slave.
And he would forever be...a slave.
