Nightshade

The sheet of metal wrapped around Victor, contracting until he couldn't move any of his body without having to push back against the sheet of metal. He only knew that he couldn't because he was feverishly trying to free himself from the metal and failing. Nightshade's team had been disabled but Nightshade was gone. Nightshade, the arguably most dangerous member of the group and certainly the most explicitly powerful one. Three out of four wasn't too bad for their first night out even if Owen wouldn't see it that way. There were plenty of lingering questions but they would have to be answered another time. For now it was best to enjoy victory.

Kat and Andrea

"Stone Skin and Laser Eyes is contained." It was a serious situation of course, but Kat couldn't suppress the bit of mirth in her tone as she repeated Sam's last words to her before popping out of the room. "Is everyone else okay?" Before the Mind Link had been closed the rush of emotion she had experienced indicated one of them wasn't. Yet, Sam had seemed in relatively good humour when he came to get her, and both Owen and Andrea had spoken over the comms after that incident, indicating they were okay. She had her suspicions. While Owen had lost control of himself when they first met, it hadn't been fear, and it had been rather exceptional circumstances. She had a hard time imagining Owen giving into fear like that. They would have to find a way to use the Mind Link more tactfully in the future.

Normally Andrea would have offered a sarcastic remark or some kind of quip. Instead, she found Kat's cheerful tone exceptionally irritating. Somewhere deep instead she knew that wasn't fair to Kat. It was herself she was pissed at. Only that wasn't entirely true either. I am not afraid, she told herself. She looked over at Timor laying on the ground. Would Owen believe her if she told him it was an accident? Unlikely, but it would feel good. In the end, Andrea decided it was better if she didn't say anything at all, and contented herself with squatting next to the wall while she waited for further instructions.

Owen Hunt

By the time the team had gathered, Owen would have already been on the phone placing a call to one of his few friends inside the SIA to make the official pickup and clean up anything the Horsemen might have accidentally left behind. He wasn't happy that he'd been so short sighted that Nightshade escaped but there wasn't anything he could do now but make sure the other three did not. Sam had taken care of bringing the three criminals into the room with the horsemen and binding those who were not already bound.

"Good work." Owen said simply to the team after hanging up the phone. "Minerva and Nergal head back to the base. Aethon stay here as back up in case we missed something." Even in the face of victory, Owen found work to do. He couldn't leave until the SIA arrived and he was smarter than to stay back alone but he had more particular reasoning for sending those he had sent. He and Andrea needed to have a talk about what had happened.

Kat and Andrea

Katrina gave Owen a sort of questioning look, though he might not be able to tell underneath her mask. It seemed an odd command to her, as she didn't see a reason why all four of them shouldn't wait. It wasn't as if something pressing was waiting for them back at the house. It was her first outing with the group though, and as much as she didn't see a reason for them to split up, she also didn't see a reason to argue. So with a shrug and a "See you back at the base." She headed out with Sam.

Andrea, on the other hand, didn't think too much about it. She gave a bit of an absent-minded nod, but her thoughts were largely back in the room with Timor. The Waxman. Owen. Her desire to kill Timor. Maybe she wasn't so cut out to follow in her mother's footsteps, but rather her fathers. If she had killed the Waxman when she had the chance...

When Sam and Katrina had left, Owen turned to Andrea and spoke almost without missing a beat "Are you alright?" He knew it was her fear that had polluted the mental link. He'd known since he saw Timor when they were tying him up. Sam was too dumb to be afraid and Katrina hadn't been against a man who manifested as that which she feared most so for the first time- or at least the apparent first time, Owen really was just concerned. He'd certainly turn it into a training tip in the next few moments but when the question had been asked it was out of genuine concern for his teammate.

Aethon

The question caught Andrea by surprise. "What....fine." She was thankful she was currently wearing her costume. In particular, the mask which covered up her face turning red. How did he know it was her? It could have easily been Kat or Sam. The last thing she needed was for Owen to think she was some sort of scared cry baby. Or for him to know the Waxman had shown up. She definitely wasn't going to tell him that he showed up. So in the usually stubborn teen fashion when she didn't want to talk about something, she went with 'fine'.

"Fine?" Owen repeated. He could push it. He wanted to push the topic even, but he was beginning to think he couldn't. He was beginning to think she didn't want to let him in. Then he remembered he didn't care what she wanted, they were a team and if they were going to function they could not have this petty aggression between them. "I'm not fine. I don't know how to process Minerva... she's so much like Alice but I know it isn't her. I keep finding myself staring at her thinking about the old days only to remember she wasn't there." Owen spoke slowly and then turned his head toward Aethon, hoping that his willingness to open up would help Andrea.
