He was a bit surprised to feel paws on his leg but didn't react outwardly. This cat was at least friendlier than the others and he wondered if that was how they were supposed to be. If the cats had their pens and knew how to upgrade them, well, the senshi obviously needed them. He wondered for a moment if that was something that used to be and stopped at some point. "Pretty sure there are a lot of other senshi who were meant to be 'more' more than I am. Thisbe needed someone to show her the ropes but she can take care of herself. She doesn't need me." No one really did. It wasn't a pleasant thought but one Arachne found himself having more often.

"How do you know what you are or aren't meant to be until you explore it to the full of your potential?" Her brow quirked as she watched him, lifting herself just a bit higher so that she could lightly butt her head against his shoulder. "All senshi work best in teams, even when they get it stuck in their stubborn heads that they work best on their own. Stars and stones, you're all so stubborn." Huffing she lowered herself back down, drawing her paws off of his thigh so that she could simply sit beside him. "You're needed, whether you think so or not. You wouldn't be here if you weren't important."

"What more is there to explore? Negaverse is here causing problems. I do better making nice with them than kicking their asses unless you count their little pets. And i don't really have anything against working with others. I just tend to irritate everyone more so it's not like anyone wants to." He smirked slightly, reaching over to brush a finger over her ear before leaning back on his hand again. "I also could only be important to be cautionary tail for others."

"You're just a Super Senshi now, Arachne. You have one more level of power waiting to be tapped into... And what of your home world? Have you been to space to explore that yet?" She resisted the urge to swat at his hand, instead slightly tilting her head towards his touch before her ears flickered. "There are different types of soldiers in this war. Sometimes the ones who make nice with the Negaverse are just as important-- it makes us seem more human and threads that spark that maybe they're fighting for the wrong side."

"Home world?" Space? He had no idea what the feline was talking about and his tone showed it. He knew there was a lot about the senshi he didn't know but 'home worlds' seemed like something important. The feline not tsking at him for making nice with the Negaverse was something he didn't expect. Everyone else just seemed to take it as getting into unnecessary danger. It wasn't always though. They weren't all bad. Rik hadn't been and Almandine didn't seem like he was either.

Her ears perked at the sound of confusion in his question. Could it be that she'd actually touched on something he didn't know? Was this a teaching opportunity? Eta shifted on her paws, scooting a bit closer to him once more so that she didn't have to talk quite so loud. "All senshi are able to travel from here on earth to the place that they draw their power from-- asteroids, planets, smaller planets hidden away inside constellations. It's one of the resources you have at hand to find out more about who you are and where you came from in the past."

"Yea, i think you lost me somewhere. We can do what?" How could they travel anywhere into space? There were these things called laws of physics and if there were habital planets he was pretty sure someone in NASA would have found one by now. He also didn't quite know what she meant by finding out where he came from but one question at a time. "You're telling me that i can somehow teleport to some asteroid floating around up there?"

"And it will be habitable enough that you can explore-- take others with you as well, once you've had enough practice. Sometimes it's easier after you've been to visit someone else's home world first. I could ask Corvus to take you to visit the castle, if you'd like? I'm sure she wouldn't mind. She's been spending an awful lot of time up there lately..." Enough that she was both proud of her senshi for taking that step to learn more about who she was and worried that she was spending too much time hiding away from what could be or might have been. "You can visit the Moon Kingdom as well, if you've gotten that upgrade to your phone... But only during certain phases."

"That sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie. And I say this as someone who can transform into a magical warrior." He laughed, pushing his hair behind his ear. He could go into space? And other people were doing it often enough they could take other people with them? "I doubt my phone has that upgrade. I haven't been in DC for the last five years..." He summoned the phone, holding it out toward the feline. "It's exactly like it got it when I first transformed."

"Mm, no, I don't see the ap and I don't think I see the charm either..." She peered around his phone after bumping it lightly with her nose, eventually making a face at the out of date technology. "I didn't bring any of my things with me to do the upgrade, and I would hate to ask to borrow it and leave you without your communication device for the night-- especially if you have a habit of chatting with agents from the other side. Hmm..." The silver tabby fell into thought for a moment as she settled back before eventually nodding as she came to an idea that she liked in part of what must have been an internal monologue. "That settles it. I'll just ask Corvus to take you with her the next time she visits her home world and while she's giving you the grand tour I can update your phone." And possibly convince Corvus to let her tamper with hers as well.

"You do know she might not want to take me to her home world." He laughed softly, shaking his head as he made his phone vanish and looked back down at the cat. Sure he and Cordy were friends but they'd only just started to reconnect and he wasn't sure she'd want to share something like that with him. It wasn't a bad idea though. If there was new technology he should keep up with it given his usual activities. He'd just have to be willing to give up the phone to the cat. As he thought about it he heard one of the large clocks in town click over and sighed before pulling himself up. "I shouldn't stay out all night. Work in the morning and I'm sure you've got somewhere else you want to be? Talk to Corvus and I'm sure she'll find me."

"Nowhere to be tonight but here, but if you've had enough for the evening." It was likely odd seeing a cat with an expression akin to a smirk on its lips, but she was wearing one just the same as she stretched while he stood. "Corvus will be in touch. Have a good evening, Arachne." With that she hopped down from her perch, heading back the way she'd come and leaving him to his night as well.
