"I'll talk to her. We work together a lot anyway." It was easier to take down larger youma together than alone. "She knows we're friends. She assumed we'd be good enough friends to tell each other something like that. I can see where she's coming from but ...." He shook his head. "She, Rik, and now you are the only ones who know. I do enough stuff I shouldn't do as him I didn't want it to bleed into me."

He did appericiate the apology though even if he wasn't sure her telling him about Rik would have changed how everything else went down. She wouldn't have told him about the new identity, there would have been no reason to tell him. "It all worked out. We're at least ... trying to be friends. But that's probably a conversation better left for later? AFter we make Abby buy is overpriced sandwiches?"

"They do make that really good carrot cake." He grinned. "With the really thick layer of frosting that will go right to my a** but it's so worth it."

He nodded as he looked up toward Abby again. "I will. She'll get a nice long talk that she'll absolutely hate but she needs. I'll make sure she understands."

Abby was a good student, usually, when it came down to it. Her heart was in the right place even if she got frustrated or didn't think things through.
