"I was thinking maybe we could go to the back and, I don't know, talk?
I want to have as much fun as possible tonight but there's something I want to get off my chest first and it's a little too noisy for that."
Her reassurance was welcomed, finally putting his mind at ease as he finally released a plain sigh. To alleviate the awkward feeling inside of him, Thomas happily stuffed his face with whatever junk food was laid out in front of him. Chips, small wrapped candy, whatever would knock out the anxious feeling within him. The fact that the school's resident track star came up as if they the three of them were all buddy buddy didn't exactly help matters. Thomas had never talked to Paris before but his opinion of him was already set on be wary of the guy. He was associating with Jerome after all and who knows what he has going on.

"Actually, we were just heading outside so have at it. My friends have the music a little too loud! It was tasking to do so much moving around, hoping to find a place to just sit and settle upon. Something about his response felt rather rude to him and before Thomas had the chance to go with his gut, he had spun on his heel with an ever so cheerful smile. He didn't want to be a bad host on his first (and probably last) party. "Thanks for coming, Paris. You've been killing it on the track this year."

Issy glanced over to the person whose voice made its way into their ears. Her mouth filled with chips and other snacks of variety, she tilted her head up and away from a bag of chips aside from the other bags and cans stacked on the counter top. Empty boxes of pizza also filled a fraction of the large counter top, more of an island in the kitchen, but still managed to cut a bit of her face off from Paris's view. She recognized his voice however. "Hey...You're Paris right? The one in my for Art and Ceramics class?" She was more calmed and relaxed by now given she could feel the alcohol still slowing things down. This affect was one of the many she liked being in and though not often in this state, really wanted to embrace it for however long it was that it lasted.

The loud music was somewhat overwhelming and she nodded when she heard they were making their way outside to the back of the house. She wanted to explore a bit of her prowess, not to mention strike a more amazing feature to that of Thomas and probably the others, but something lasting that he'd be reminded of her from time to time. "I'm all for it, there's more space out there to be honest." Making her way out the back door and onto the pavement before them, she'd think of something to catch their interest, so to say something mesmerizing. It'd be a site to see soon enough however and the rest of the people, more price sly, Thomas would see.

The party had been building though Joe was mainly watching others. Half hoping the drama would cause a fight, Joe was watching the drama while sipping his soda. His solitude and boredom was broken when he was approched by a unknown partygoer. "Well I'm sure our age group has a tendency to do a lot do stupid stuff. Soda is the least poisonous." Joe replied before watching said male walk over to a couch of nerds and make them very uncomfortable. Hmmm he does have style in his pestering of others. The new company reterned and even teased him a bit. The fun kind though. "Going to need better music for dancing. As for pranking got any ideas cause I'm game." Joe said beore taking a swig of soda.

Regina was lost in thought, wondering how screwy things would get if the wrong people found out she was fighting crime. However, things spiraled out of her comfort when her grandmother’s car came to a stop and she found herself outside a house of teenagers.

“You said we were just going to buy groceries!”

“Who asks their granddaughter to get dressed so nicely over groceries?”

                                                  “…”

“We’re already here, anyways. You may as well go spend time with your friends.”

“You know I don’t like parties, or people, especially this many people.”

“Don’t say that. Isn’t the boy you like over there?”

“I don’t like him like that.”

                                                  “Sure…”

She glared at the elderly woman, which only prompted a laugh as the old-timer gestured to the door. Regina rolled her eyes, sighed, and stepped out of the car. It took about five steps forward before she was ready to turn around and insist on just getting brought home with an excuse like studying, but her grandmother just waved and drove off. “s**t…” At the very least, she would’ve wanted to switch out her current outfit to have some jeans; dresses were too girly, and she was a bit of a tomboy.

Roman was busy entertaining some of the other guests. When his attention was directed to another car pulling up. It stuck out because it was the only vehicle not blaring music upon arrival. He continued conversing but kept his eyes on the car. He didn't want another football game fiasco where fellow students were kidnapped and later found in a warehouse off on the docks in containment pods of the sort. Soon the door opened and out came someone he totally did not expect to come. At all. "Regina." he said in the middle of his conversation suddenly. Then turned back to the others and apologized, telling them to have fun, and that he would catch up with them later. They quickly began to whisper just like many others about his and Regina's relationship status but he didn't care. They were just friends. Nothing else, nothing more.

Roman would walk over to her casually, a smile finding its way onto his lips. And a hand brought up waving. "Hey. I didn't think I'd see you here. Not without hell freezing over first. You look...really nice." the delay was him trying to find words that were complimentary but not too mushy. "Are you hungry? Thirsty?" he began pounding her with questions but really it was because Roman was genuinely happy to see her.

Regina’s shoulders had loosened up a bit as a familiar face gave her a glance, approaching her. Frankly, she didn’t expect to see her there either, but her ride was long gone, so she would have to suck it up. Usually, people didn’t ever compliment her on her attire (the woes of a tomboy), so she found herself somewhat awkward, scratching her head and smiling, mouthing her thanks, but no sound came from her lips. He didn’t look too bad himself, but she felt like she’d come across as flirty, and she’d rather not give his friends a reason to interrogate either of them. She wondered how often she’d pull to do the “just the friend” card for the curious bystanders.

He quickly followed up with questions, and it relieved her, since answering was always easier than coming up with something to say, provided she wasn’t complaining about something, also her stress relief. “Heh, the most I’ve had recently was a slice of apple pie and a carton of juice, so…both? Lead the way, dude. What’s there to do around here, anyway? Aside from hunting the Wi-Fi password.” A smartass take on humor, but an honest one. When not screwing around with their friends, the teenager in its natural environment carefully pursued the means to access the Internet. Sally No-Name was gossiping with texts, while John Doe was likely browsing shitty adult films in the bathroom. The hormones were worse than AIDs, but Regina would survive. Roman was the expert survivalist, after all. He had to be, lest the horny teenage she-devils would feast on his soul. She mentally rolled her eyes.

"Plenty. Let's see you got your drunk wrestling over there." he pointed in the direction of two guys trying to take one another down on Thomas' lawn while their friends laughed and recorded. Roman made sure to wave at the group with a smile. "Hey guys." Then turns his head ahead directing his index finger toward the house. Specifically inside. "Beer pong is being set up inside. Assuming you drink." which he would jokingly begin inspecting her before coming to the conclusion she probably didn't. "Which I doubt you'd be interested in. Then there's the music and dancing. I know there was talk about truth or dares. Or even spin the bottle. But I think this is all." by this time he had led her to Thomas, Isabella, Paris and company. "Hey. Look who I found." Roman announced.

The one in my for Art and Ceramics class?❞ Isabella had just about said, she was clearly either too busy filling her mouth with chips or was drunk. Paris nodded gently and smiled, humouring her. It wasn't long before she excused herself and made her way outside, but Thomas was apparently a gracious host - having turned his heel. ❝Thanks for coming, Paris. You've been killing it on the track this year.❞ His brows darted up along with a smile. His shoulders bobbed ever so slightly as he laughed. ❝Yeah.❞ He mused alongside his gentle laugh. He held a small plastic cup in his hand and took a drink, shortly cutting eye contact with Thomas. It was as if in that small moment that a mask had fallen. Isabella had went outside, it was just the two of them stuck in a conversation. A prime opportunity to find out exactly what he wanted to know. ❝What's your endgame, Stanson?❞ He set down his cup and took a moment before turning his head back to Thomas. ❝I never took you for a heartless guy, but bringing those losers here--❞ He raised his thumb and pointed behind him, to where Thomas' old group of friends had all been sitting, ❝--and parading your climb of the social ladder in front of them? Cold. I think we will get along great.❞ He ended it with an kind mischievous grin. It spelled nothing good.

They were soon interrupted with the appearance of Roman Young and Regina Ray - which caused Paris to pull himself back. He hadn't even noticed that he had been approaching closer to Thomas. Unusual predatory and domineering behaviour that he rarely ever exhibited. ❝Hey. Look who I found.❞ Roman had announced. Now would have been a perfect time for Jerome to have shown up, so Paris continued to do what he did best and smiled towards Regina. He truthfully did not know much about her, so she must have kept to herself. ❝Thomas and I were just talking about how great of a party this is. You really outdid yourself, Young.❞ He said with veiled condescendence as he leaned back.

Jerome was off to the side talking with some of the other players on the football team. All up to no good as they watched Roman, Regina, Thomas, and Paris all gathered around talking. That Thomas kid was a real piece of work and needed to be reminded just what he was. Even if it had to happen at his own party. Jerome could feel a darker side of himself wanting to take over when he was dissed in front of everybody by Issy for that nerd. He finished talking to the guys making sure they knew what to do then walked over to Thomas grinning ear to ear like a Cheshire cat. "Waddup, waddup people. Tom Hanks. You know in honor of you throwing this fantastic party..." his words dripped a hint of something bad to come. "The guys and I.. wanted to show our gratitude.." pulling Thomas back by the shoulders some from the group and off his porch to the grass. Yelling out, "Now boys!!" Just then four big burly players would come carrying with them a cooler. Before continuing to pour our said cooler of beer on the head of Stanson drenching him entirely. "Cool enough for you?" Jerome mocked and winked, then started to laugh. The players made sure to have plenty of guests watching and proceeding to laugh as well.

Though Thomas has never actually been to a party, he imagined he's never been the only one to experience a jittery feeling that, at times, left him immobilized. Too nervous to move or react to those around him. Everything was all fine and dandy when saving the other super powered teens but he felt as though nothing could have prepared him for this. Thomas turned to Isabella trying to find a way to weasel out of his uncomfortable situation only to find that she was gone. She must have been really out of it to just up and leave him with Paris. An awkward chuckle escaped the young Stanson as he met Paris' gaze while he sipped at his drink. What the hell is wrong with him? With the two of them alone, the track star was quick to dig into his mind for answers on...who knows what.

"The only endgame I have is to have a good time around friends and classmates. He broke the gaze, grabbing at a handful of chips as he picked them up one by one to eat. "Besides. They're fine. They've been on that couch the whole night enjoying them-," Thomas' head tilted to the side as he peered around the corner to find CJ breaking down into tears in a corner. Not exactly the best setting to lose your cool but his weeping only made Thomas wonder why. "Maybe I should check in on them..I'll catch you around, yeah?" Stepping to the opposite side, Thomas was just about to tend to his friends when Roman brought an unexpected arrival up to them.
The last few times any of them had ever been within a mile of each other it usually involved more super powered antics. For once it was nice to just live and be normal for a change, even for Thomas.

"Hey, Regina. Didn't think you'd show. Never took you for a party kind of person." He imagined there was probably a number of reasons she showed tonight. One of them being Roman but he wouldn't outwardly share his assumptions. With that of the way, he tried his best to slip away to assist his saddened friend until the obstacle of all obstacles appeared before him.
Jerome. He knew he hadn't seen the last of him but he didn't expect to encounter him up close and personal like this. Forcing a fake laugh at Jerome's attempt to get his name wrong, he looked him in the eye, having to stare upward a tad. "Really, it was nothing." He tried his best to keep conversation to a minimum but as he walked away from him, he was held back, bound by his shoulders and within mere moments, he was drenched with ice cold beer.

"Cool enough for you?" The teens within Thomas' home fell silent, their will to converse was gone and instead replaced with laughter as they all pointed and joked at his expense. He traded looks with two of his mutuals,
both Roman and Regina. The situation couldn't be anymore embarrassing.
He said nothing as he glared at the lot of them, before lightly tapping Roman's arm, a small yellow flicker of light traveled from one teen to the other and just like that, Thomas had disappeared into the crowd of his fellow teenagers.
He climbed the stairs up into his room, drops of liquid still falling to the floor as he went. He could hear the the sound of music and chatter erupt once more from the first floor, fading only slightly as he he shut the door behind him.
Thomas wasn't sure what he did to deserve that in his own home and in front of everyone. Maybe he really didn't have to do much of anything, people were just generally jerks and that's that. Maybe to others it was that cut and dry and maybe others might have let it all slip by and let it go. Let bygones be bygones. That wasn't Thomas, though. He was angry and he planned to show Jerome his fury.

Thomas stood up in front of his window, peering out into the street below.
He obviously didn't know Jerome personally but at least knew where he sat on the social hierarchy. His eyes scanned over the cars below expectantly,
waiting for him to find his target. Shame, it was a nice car but he'd feel stupid for letting an opportunity like this pass him by. Thomas' eyes flashed a bright red, illuminating the room with a red tint. A blast of red energy flew from his eyes and impacted the expensive car, leaving the left side a melted mess that muddled into the ground. From the porch below Thomas could hear shouts and confusion, some of them stepping onto the lawn to look up and find out where the red beam of light originated from but Thomas had already stepped away from the window and into his closet, drying himself with a towel and putting on a change of clothes. He figured by the time he'd step back into the fray of things, Jerome would already be aware that his expensive ride was a mess of it's former self. As Thomas threw on a fresh dry shirt, he felt as though nothing changed, that his actions may have been an overreaction to a humiliating prank.

From his closet, Thomas could see kids crowding around the car, still red hot from the heat. Instinctively whipping out their phones to film the spectacle,
they all stared in awe. Only Thomas felt more disappointment than anything for using his powers like that. With a deep sigh, he stepped back down the stairs and back into the rest of the party, avoiding most of his usual friends and keeping to the far end of the corner in the living room.

Isabella White Circuit

Laughing and enjoying the scene of the moment, Issy glided her hand which had a half empty bottle of liquor and placed it on one of the tables in the backyard. She was quick to take a water bottle and downed it in less than 3 minutes. People began to swarm into the kitchen giving rise to Isabella's curiosity and soon she'd walk into the stench of alcohol along with a large puddle of it, not to mention the scene of a majority of the guests laughing and pointing towards the staircase. She was really confused at what had happened and started to ask around.

Placing a hand over her mouth, she hit both Paris and Jerome with her angry brown eyes. The crowd of people moved partially from the kitchen now to the front deck area where Jerome's car was scene--in a melted form. Issy crossed her arms and got goosebumps. She knew something was up, and that wasn't just from looking over at Thomas's friend who took turns whimpering and crying. She wanted to give him some space, but she also wanted to comfort him in any possibly way she could. Perhaps this was it?

Thomas came down in a different change of clothes from what she could make out, but she still stood by the doorframe to the patio. Looking over to both athletes, Issy muttered a few words out. "You both make me sick." Stomping out into the kitchen and through the crowd to the living room where she last caught a glimpse of Thomas, she cleared her through and drank a sip of the water she grabbed when walking out of the kitchen. By now, she was a bit aware of what was going on."Hey...if that was you out there a few moments ago, I'm impressed.." Subtle, but honest she let out a faint giggle which was drowned by the uproar of music and chatter around them.

Blinking a few time, Issy rubbed her eyes with her fingers making her mascara and any other oh-so-important beauty product known to the others that she had worn for display, run on her face. Patting her right hand onto her denim jeans, she slid it besides Thomas's hand and attempted to lock fingers with him. "I'll help you clean it up? They are...huge jerks."

It was fine at first, everything was just…fine. Her assumptions on parties were generally low, but she was comfortable; she wasn’t forced into anything she didn’t want to do, and she was in the company of friends. However, in a single instant, everything changed when a resident a*****e decided to pour an entire cooler on their host’s head, soiling him in the most humiliating fashion.

Her chest got heavy and her hands closed into fists, her temper spiraling out of control at the sight of her friend disappearing into the crowd in anger and embarrassment. If he was going to do something (which he did), she wouldn’t have noticed; she could feel the resonance of a thousand storms swelling in her lungs, glaring at the offender as her lips began to loosen, just about ready to scream habitually.

Seeing Thomas go completely silent was heart-wrenching to some, but to most of their other drunken peers, it was comedic gold. Pun very much intended. As the host of the party stood there drenched in ice cold beer. The laughter only grew in volume when Tommy boy darted through the crowd and eventually disappeared from everyone's view. Jerome stood tall watching and then glanced down at Isabella with a smirk forming at the corners of his mouth. He didn't care if she was impressed or put off by his actions. He wasn't about to be passed up for some shrimp.

Suddenly though, all eyes would soon make their way to the front of Thomas' home when a loud disturbance caused the ground to tremble slightly. Jerome like the others raced to see what it was and to his horror, saw his beauty dripping molten metal. Jerome grabbed at his head in confusion as he neared his former ride confused as how in god's name...then it hit him. It wasn't how,
but who. A scowl formed on his face as the football player turned aggressive and shoved those in his way out. "I'm going to kill that kid." he grumbled under his breath. Making his way towards the porch when Roman decided to get in his way.

"Get out of my way, Young. This ain't got s**t to do with you. It's between me and that freak of nature up there. When I'm through with him, he's going to wish he was never born."

Preventing Jerome from going on a potential kill spree was Roman who witnessed it all. From the beer dumping to Thomas' reaction and what felt like an arm tap? Okay so the last one confused him, but he was pretty upset with how things were turning out. This was supposed to be a fun event and yet Jerome just had to go and embarrass the host for no other reason than spite. He had failed Thomas before by not helping and he wasn't about to make that mistake again.

Standing in front of the taller male, Roman pushed his shoulder back after he explained what he planned to do. "Step off, Jerome. You started this and you know it. You have no proof he had anything to do with what happened to your car. It was probably karma anyway." by this time a circle of students grew around the two athletes prepared to see less words and more action.

Jerome laughed, rubbing his lip then started. "Oh right. I get it. Mr. Young, Captain-save-a-b***h. You sure you wanna stick up for that kid? You think that's smart Ro? If you know what's good for you then you'll step off." and to add insult to injury he returned the shove.

"I don't know what your problem is Jerome. But it's time to go."

Jerome laughed again, raising his hands as if he was letting bygones be and even started to turn around before turning quickly and swinging to punch Roman square in the jaw.

Little did he know, thanks to his newly enhanced sight, Roman could see the punch coming a mile away and evaded it. The crowd let out a 'ooh' in unison causing Jerome to feel like he had to prove himself now more than ever. So he swung again or attempted to, but was struck faster than he could predict by Roman and stumbled back. He spat some blood on the lawn from his cut lip nursing it with his free hand and backed away. "You just made a big mistake, Ro. A really big mistake. You win this round. But I promise we're only just getting started." Roman watched as the other jock walked off bitterly along with a few of their teammates who were closer knitted to him than himself.

He gave a sigh, and glanced upward at Thomas' window and then saw Regina. Going over to her, "Come on. We should go check on him." he told her.
