Carter pulled her up out of her seat. "You are just too adorable, Niraya."
She stepped off the bus after it stopped. She waited outside the bus with her hands behind her back, hoping Niraya would stick to tagging along with her. She smiled innocently as two policemen passed behind her.

Carter turned to her with her hands on her waist. She pointed up. "We go to the roofs. The quickest way to get around town. Also, I can find the butcher from up there. I was supposed to be there thirty minutes ago."
She walked into the alley and pulled down the ladder to a fire escape. "Meow~! Up you go."

When Niraya reached the top, Carter smiled at her. "I loved you before. Now, I love you even more. I didn't know you were a Mage." Carter looked up at Niraya. "I am a bit jealous that you're tall, though. I can't pet your head like I want to. You're just too adorable."
Yes, Carter was hitting on her. She had a habit of finding something cute and sticking with it. Also, she kind of liked having the company of another woman. Being stuck dealing with boys all the time was rather boring since they were still young and they had a knack for trouble. Carter hopped a few rooftops before spotting the butcher shop. She pointed to it. "Across the street. Five blocks away."

Carter shrugged and knelt down. She eyed the streets. "Looks like the cops aren't on our tail anymore. We should be safe to walk the streets."
Carter grabbed the drain pipe and slid down the gutter to the ground. She looked around, making sure no one saw them. She waited for Niraya before heading across the street to the butcher's shop. Carter pulled a few packages of meat out of her quiver. Once she was at the shop she stopped and waited before knocking three times on the door. The shopkeeper opened the door and took the meat, thanking her. She looked at Niraya as the shopkeeper handed her some coins and went back inside. "Alright," Carter flipped one of the coins and caught it. "Dinner's on me, sweetheart."

"Look. I'm short, you're tall. The point is, I want to hang out with you. Be your bff. Something along those lines." Carter said. "I am serious, though. Dinner tonight is on me."

Carter took her hand and started walking. "I've got an idea."
Carter headed towards the highest building in the area. She looked up at it. "Up there's the highest point around here. It's beautiful up there."

She walked across the street and walked into the building. "A magical thing called pneumatic lifts."
Carter pushed a button on a panel in the wall. A door opened and Carter stepped in. She held the door for Niraya before leaning on the wall and waiting for the lift.
