He was indeed a man of many appetites, so he didn't bother to comment on that particular speculation. There was a considerable amount of very heavy innuendo being thrown at him, and he slowed to a stop to look sidelong at the other man. "If you want to ask me questions about my sex life, you can just ask." He didn't mind word games, but there was a little too much mixing of hobbies going on. A small shake of his head, and he kept moving, making his way over to the pile of concrete bags so he could add this last two to the top. Then he was folding his arms across his chest as he turned to look at Melvin had on.

He set the bag down after Zeke and turned to him. "Well that wouldn't be fun. No one for innuendo?" He said, sighing. That was half the fun of getting into the spirit of things. Trying to think of something witty or dirty without exactly saying it and appearing polite and civil.
"How many people are you screwing around with again?"

"I'm not really one for beating around the bush." At least usually. He didn't mind innuendo on occasion, but he preferred the direct approach better. Saved time, and there was zero chance of a miscommunication. He actually had to think about it before he answered, gazing rolling up as considered it. "Currently only two, but at any given time it a been as high as five."

"So you just scope around on whoever is available and hit on them?" He asked, now switching from his disappointment about the lack of work games to a new idea. Zeke seemed to have game, which meant he knew the hows of how to hook up on the island with relative ease.
"And then bed hope for whoever is up to play? Surprised I don't hear more about you on Twitter then with the drama just 1 couple has most of the time."

"I don't really do much active seeking out of bed partners. For the most part it's all happenstance, or they show interest in me." He shrugged, letting his hands fall back to his sides and turning again to head back to grab something else to bring in. There was enough concrete, at least to start, but they needed buckets, shovels, boards, and other miscellaneous building material. He wasn't much for construction, but he could carry s**t. He glanced back at the comment though, brows arched. "Only some of my relationships or as casual as all that." He didn't consider it bed hopping, but he supposed it sort of fit. "And why would there be drama? No one's unhappy with the arrangements we have."

"Wow. Must be nice to have people throw themselves at your without lifting a finger." He wasn't about to pretend he wasn't jealous of whatever art of secret mojo Zeke possessed.
"There always seems to be drama. People change their minds about what their relationship entails. Some demand more. Some become jealous. Some mistake what they had. But maybe that's just the type of people you are blessed with."
Moving to get some more cement, he lifted up 2 bags and considered something. "Would....it be weird to ask you something about the topic?"

He could only shrug again. "I dunno what to tell ya, there isn't any drama. Things have been working out just fine for years." Which wasn't to say the possibility of jealousy didn't exist, it did, they just hadn't hit it yet. If something happened, and Zeke found that both Ever and Harley had turned the whole of their attention away from him, he imagined he'd be jealous. And while he wasn't positive of it, he believed the other two would feel similar if the opposite were true. He wanted to make a comment about all of them honest with each other, and there being no power plays, no boredom, no attempts at manipulation, but he was more interested in Melvin's question. "Aren't you already asking me things about the topic?" Which wasn't what the other man meant, and Zeke knew it. But e flashed him a smile, before adding. "Ask away."

"Well yeah, I've been asking but - this isn't the same. Just.." He took a breath. "You seem to have a healthy hold on how things work on the island and having people to interact with. What..........."
He slowly lowered the cement down onto the pile. ".....would you say helps....with all that......in hooking up?"
Because he honestly wasn't about to put posters up but didn't want to post on twitter he was available either.

Now that was a tricky question. He slowed as he started setting supplies down on a table beside the piled up bags of cement. There really was no one, easy answer to that question. Every experience he had that ended in some kind of physical intimacy happened different, and they were not all s=instigated by himself. "I don't really go out of my way to try to find people, that's not very helpful for you, I know, but it's true. I meet people by chance, we sleep together by chance, and if there's something there worth repeating, or holding onto, than that's what happens." He frowned, not entirely sure if that all made sense, but also not knowing how to explain it better. He didn't try to find bed partners, things just happened, and saying that didn't help Melvin at all. "I guess being willing to talk to a lot of people couldn't hurt." His arms crossed again, fingertips tapping against one bicep. "If it's sex you're after, than being upfront about your intentions might help."

He had to laugh at that, something that came out quick but soon ended before it had enough time to take hold.
"Oh right. I think you forget the reputation that lingered on people on the island. I can't very well go up to people I find attractive and ask if they would be down to ******** today. That's almost as ridiculous as putting up posters. You may be good looking and have no hangups or gossip trailing you, but I've got a bit of a cloud hovering around me like a bad smell."
He had to breath out at that, as if laughing was something he had found too strange and in turn exhausting. "Guess I should have guessed that the normal approach wasn't the best one. Though I can at least talk to people more. Lord knows I haven't been doing that enough recently."

So why ask me?He didn't think it, though at the burns in Melvin's voice it was hard not to respond in some way, and knowing Zeke, that response wouldn't have been all that kind. Apparently he was mellowing a bit. "Talking to people is the best thing you can do. How else are you going to figure out what they like, how they think, and what they think of you?" It would also help to rebuild a taniahed reputation.

He gave a shrug."Thought I'd be let on some magic move to hook up without any hassel. It was a lot easier on campus. Didn't really need to talk long. Just had to show up and not be a complete creep."
He dusted cement dust off his t-shirt. "Trying to get back into the game and you seem like a quarterback this season."

Zeke shrugged as well. "I don't really have any trouble finding willing partners, but as you say, I also don't have much of a reputation. I can only give you what works for me." He did chuckle though. "We aren't the same person. What works for me isn't going to work for everyone. You should try your luck on some of the newbies that haven't been here long enough to hear much island gossip if you're worked about your reputation."
