Coco hadn't spotted Kayla Sue and Aben yet, or Vanna, she hoped to see them all soon since who would want to miss this chance to study the torti they were very pretty. Coco watched a sunset colored one walking along towards a hole that had a bigger torti that was green and purple in it. She watched them interact and wondered if they were family or friends. Coco took some notes on the interaction she saw before her. Then she looked to another part of the area to see if she could spot any other activities the torti showed.

Looking up for her note taking concentration, Kayla Sue notice Coco Across the way. So Kayla getting up form her place to go sit by Coco. Rubbing her bottom because it has fallen asleep she realized that she had been sitting still for far to long. Once to Coco Kayla smiles big and say "Hello how are you doing?" It had been awhile since they had chatted and Kayla had missed her new friend.

Coco smiled at Kayla Sue and gestured to the spot next to her "I'm feeling better, got a little sick on the boat, but I'm better now and are you having fun Kayla Sue?" Coco asked the little freshling. She enjoyed her time chatting with the little freshling it was nice to speak to a young one. They hadn't really gotten into many conversations yet but perhaps that would soon change. "I'm just watching the torti, aren't they lovely?" She asked the little freshling as she watched a sapphire colored torti walk by the spot she sat. Coco took some notes on the speed they moved.

Nashira was very entertaind watching the torti. They were quite adorable. She watched the little ones scamper around, seeming to carefully avoid the children. The smallest ones, she assumed they were babies, seemed to be at least a little curious about them. They still kept away from the children, but seemed a little curious.

As she was looking around, she saw Aedus wave, and she returned the gesture. "Aren't these little ones fascinating? Look at how they dig in the sand. It's no wonder they were hidden for so long. They seem to be subterranean. I wonder if they are cold-blooded?" That would make sense for them to surface to warm themselves. "Now what do you eat?" She asked a little torti that was looking at her.

This was exciting. Vega wanted to chase the little turtles, but he couldn't. He didn't want to scare them. "Look, is that one trying to eat that plant. I wonder if that's what they normally eat." Vega pulled out his camera and took a picture, then opened a notebook and wrote down what he saw. "They're so cute. I want to take like a thousand of them home."

Leto was extremely happy to get off the boat. While he did actually spot a familiar on the trip, he was happy to let them live in their own environment and get himself on dry solid and not moving land. It took a moment to collect himself and unpoof his feathers but he was ready to go observe the new type of familiar.

Of course what he wasn't expecting was the pair of twins he saw to be there at the docks. "No, find a new nightmare. Fennikets are drama queens and I already have to deal with my best friend's thank you very much. No don't give me those eyes. No..." Of course when he turned around to ignore them they just followed silently until one tripped. With a sigh, he made a note to talk with Jaden and picked it up placing it and their twin gently in his carry bag.

Of course his irritation was forgotten when they started viewing the tortii. He had to agree they were adorable.

" they would definitely be a hit."

"I wonder if they can burrow through anything besides sand? Wouldn't it be... you know, bad if they could go through cement and bring the school down? Gosh, do you think they could live in a terrarium?" Vega knelt down and studied the little tracks left by some of the baby torti. "Man, they're so small." He looked up at Leto and smiled as he picked up the fennikit that had tripped. "Hey, I wonder if they play with other familiars? ...Maybe I should not let those new bats that followed me off the boat have at them..." He had sent the bats back to the boat to wait for him, and hopefully they would listen and wait. They were pretty cool looking.
