Remarque scoffed and rolled his eyes, though at which part of her speech exactly was uncertain. “I can tell you’ll have a lot of fun in the Court,” he said as he made his way towards one of the nearer mirrors. “The whole lot of you, troublemakers. Honestly, I’ve got to find some level headed Senshi somewhere or you’ll all be the death of me.”
Still, he managed to don a half grin as he walked. “In the meantime, though, you do me a favor and see if you can’t find out anything else about that crystal. I’ve got mine but,” he shrugged. “I haven’t made much progress. So just check in with me if you find out anything you think we can use. If I hear anything, I’ll make sure you know about it. Until then, just make sure you’re careful with it. We still don’t know what they are, or what they do, and I don’t want anything bad to happen to you. Troublemaker or not, I care about you and everyone in the Court, too. So if you’re ever in any trouble, you let me know and I’ll do everything I can.”
Especially if she was in trouble because he let her leave Mirrorspace with an artifact he knew nothing about.

"My Prince." Laverna managed with a grin as she followed him through the mirror, offering a half bow of her waist as she did so. "I promise you will be the first I seek out should I ever need the assistance of another. I also promise I will not make you go fully grey before mother nature does." Picking her head up, she winked at him, fingering the crystal in her hand as she did. "Just don't forget to have some fun yourself. All work and no play..." With a wave of her hand, she let the rest of the sentence disappear into the night. Slowly, she turned to go, to leave him to make his way home but only a few steps away, Laverna stopped in her tracks and looked back over her shoulder. "Hey Rem." She asked and the turned to look at the man she both thought intelligent and crazy. "I've been meaning to ask you but to you truly enjoy it? This I mean. Being the Prince of a Court of Troublemakers and putting up with all of us. Is it still worth it to you?" Still...she assumed at one time it had been but now... A light breeze went past her and Laverna shrugged, waving her hand again as she turned once more to go. "Forget I asked. I'm being too nosy."

Remarque watched Laverna for a few seconds. He was half tempted to let her leave wondering, but he wasn’t one for loose ends when he could avoid them.
“It’s worth it,” he said earnestly. “Might not always be the easiest job, and it might not always be fun, but that’s not what it’s about.”
His eyes found the horizon, viewing everything he could but settling on nothing. “This is the only world we’ve got, and if the Negaverse has their way, they’ll take it from us. I don’t know what they’ll do with all that power. The Court’s not large enough to take them on, and even if we were, I don’t know if I could ask it of everyone to put their life on the line like that. I’m just one man, I can’t take on all of them.”
He would, if he could.
“So we have to look at alternatives. I’ve got people I care about, and pretending like there isn’t a growing problem isn’t going to do them any good. So as long as I can do something to prepare, something to try and make a difference—yeah, it’s worth it.”
A moment passed, and a grin spread across his face. Besides. You’re not all that bad.”

Laverna watched him, taking in his expressions and the way he held himself. It was a weight on his shoulders and he appeared to take the world on alone. "Something to make even just a small place a little bit better?" Laverna offered, eyes rolling at the 'not all bad'. "We may need to check your vision. We are all that bad. Even you, King of the troublemakers." "But at least we aren't trying to take over the world. Are we?"

Remarque shook his head, half grin planted on his face. “I’ve never gone into this thinking what I was doing was bad—and,” he shrugged. “Trust me. When I was younger I did some ‘bad’ things. But being a part of the Dark Mirror Senshi isn’t one of those them.”
He shifted position. “We’re not trying to take over the world, though. We’re trying to make it better. Trying to stop the Negaverse, but with as much advantage as they have, it seems like a distant dream. Besides—running the world sounds like a pain in the a**. Doesn’t matter how much power, how much control, you’d have. If you wanted the world to succeed, you’d have to work day in and day out. No, thank you. A safe little patch, away from all the chaos and drama the Negaverse is going to bring is the most I can ask for. Unless anyone has better ideas.”
He tilted his head. “Do you?”
