"It's something we've come to a mutual sort of agreement on. She's actually doing something more with her degree than just switching majors every other semester." She smirked, giving his arm a light pat as they walked up to the security gate surrounding the perimeter of her building's courtyard. She keyed the code in before nudging it open, gesturing for him to go on ahead of her before she followed suit. "So do you have a column or do you take pictures? Or is a little bit of both? Does this mean you're going to hook me up with whatever incredible bath products they send you that you don't use?"

"I thought she was going to switch majors until she just accidentally graduated with something." He paused inside the gate, letting her catch up to him, before following her up to the building. "What about you? How much progress have you made with all this bullshit going on?" He knew he'd have never managed to graduate trying to keep up with being a senshi and trying to focus on collage. Neither one would have gotten enough attention that way. "I try to stick to writing but I do have a pretty good following on my Instagram. Mostly writing though with a bit of editorial work. Small magazine so everyone kinda knows how to do a couple things and what makes you think there's stuff they send me I dont use?"

Abby laughed, shaking her head as she tugged her keys out of her sweater pocket, letting herself into the building so she could pause to check her mail while gesturing for him to hit the call button on the elevator. "I'm the one who's going to switch majors until accidentally graduating with something. Last I'd asked, she was actually making progress after her last switch." She tugged her mail out, thumbing through the envelopes. Two were torn in half before they were tossed into the nearby trash, leaving her with one that brought a smile to her lips. "Speaking of the devil... Letter from her." She held it up, waving it around as she stepped up to the elevator. "Are you telling me that there haven't been things that someone has sent you that just aren't your thing?"

"She still writes actual letters?" He raise a brow as he followed her to the elevator. "That girl is living in another century i swear." He shook his head, slight smirk on his lips as the elevator chimed and they both stepped inside. It was a bit too bad that Abby's sister had moved away for school if only because he couldn't tease them both at the same time anymore. He leaned back against the elevator wall as Abby pushed the button for her floor. "True. I got rid of everything before I moved though and I haven't gotten anything like that so far here. Either means someone knows me better or, more likely, the new collections aren't out yet." Since things ran in cycles it would be a few more months before he got more stuff like that unless someone did a surprise launch.

"Sometimes. Every now and then it's nice to get something tangible in the mail. She knows that I like to read." It was something they had always done while they were apart, ever since they'd started getting along with each other as children once their parents had remarried. "Are you hungry? Or do you just want coffee?" She cast him a quick glance before stepping out of the elevator onto her floor, heading to the last apartment at the end of the hall.

"Just coffee for now." He nodded as they headed down the hall. "I didn't have dinner that long ago so I don't need to be eating anything else so soon." If he really got hungry he could get himself a snack when he got home. When she let him inside he paused in the entry way, nudging his shoes off so he didn't track any dirt inside. "This is an upgrade."

The one bedroom apartment was modest, but modern. The door opened to a living room just the right size for a small sofa with a sectional ottoman that could either serve as an extension or an additional seat. A throw blanket had been tossed over the back of it, book left open to where she'd left it when she'd given into antsy anxiousness and made her way out for the evening. Two stools were tucked in against the kitchen bar and the only other sign of a table was the one for coffee near the couch. Track lighting lit the kitchen as she flipped the switch, and a string of 'fairy lights' lit up the patio when she flicked another. "Your coffee preferences haven't changed, have they?" She glanced over her shoulder as she drew two cups out of the cabinet before checking the water level in her Keurig. "If they have, speak now or forever hold your peace."

He slid onto one of the stools at the counter before taking down his hair so he could put it up into another bun. It was starting to fall out and he wanted to put it back before it actually did. "Same coffee taste. Got a bit more picky about where I buy it if i'm getting it out somewhere but what you usually make me is good." He didn't expect her to have any 'fru fru' coffee like he drank at the office or when he was going to business meetings.

"Good to know some things haven't changed." She flashed him a grin, popping the french vanilla pod into the machine before setting the first mug beneath the spout. While the first pot brewed she'd get the non-dairy creamer out of the fridge and the bottle of Baileys out of the cupboard. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable, Lys. Mi casa es su casa? That's how that goes, right?"

"Usually, yea." He leaned back in the seat, to get his hair up how he wanted and once that was done leaned his arms on the counter while he watched her move about. It was too bad she felt more like a sister since she was pretty. That wasn't what he was here for though. "Did you know that Negaverse agents can be turned into Knights?"

"Why would anyone want to do that?" Her nose wrinkled as she slid the first mug out from the Keurig, replacing the pod while shuffling in the second mug. A quick glance was cast over her shoulder towards him before she went back to doctoring the coffee. "I mean... I guess it makes sense, and all. They've got to come from somewhere. Chaos infects senshi, it'd make sense that it could infect other things too... s**t. Wait. Are you telling me that all of them are...?" Her eyes went wide and she almost overfilled the cup with the creamer, leaning down to skim a sip from the top in order to add a little Baileys. "You're shitting me."

"I don't know if all of them are. It would make sense given how similar the two are and Chaos has to have something to corrupt to work." That was his working theory at least. Knowing Mag Mell had once been a Negaverse agent, knowing they could be changed, meant most of the probably were the same. Just like the corrupt senshi Chaos had just infected them and turned them into monsters. "Remember how I said i punched a night? And it was complicated?"

"********, Lys..." The look on her face was more than disappointed, brow furrowed and lips pressed together as she held the cup of coffee out to him. "Don't tell me that the knight you punched is one of the bad guys you've snogged." The look on his face said that she'd hit the nail directly on the nose and that what she'd just said hadn't been funny at all. "Lys-- Lysander. It's a good thing if he's switched sides, isn't it?"

"In the long run, yea probably a good thing he switched sides. In the moment?" He shook his head as he took a sip of the coffee she handed him. She did at least remember how he liked it. "And technically, I wasn't snogging him as a Negaverse agent. He was apparently my ex." He leaned back in the seat again with a sigh. It still felt weird, the roller coaster he'd gone on in two days when he'd learned everything. "Found a grave stone with Rik's name on it a week or so after I came back into town. Figured that explained why he 'dumped' me by stopping communications. Knight I'd run into before saw me that night and we started talking. Turns out that knight was one of the ones that purified but he told me he 'killed' Rik when he was a Negaverse agent so I decked him. There was some yelling and whatnot and he didn't kill Rik, he was Rik."

"Wait... Lys, love-- hold on a minute." Her brow furrowed further as he continued to talk. She followed him over to the sofa, taking a perch on the arm of it so she could keep her eyes on him. "I-- I'm going to need you to rewind that whole soap opera that just came out of your mouth and start from the beginning. I promise I was following around, but somewhere in the middle I think you said a whole lot of.... Headache. That's what that was, right? A headache? Because I think I just heard what a headache sounds like."
