"I hear its quite easy for those ignorant of the world to overestimate themselves." Quipped Verosh in turn. Was this blue fish just something created to irk him? Even when he said his actual name the hybrid still felt annoyed. Obviously it would help if the other boy didn't stress his name so much, but it was also simply the fact that Verosh realized he was still standing here wasting valuable training time.

A rare chuckle escaped him as Zigaran crossed his arms, "Is that so? I hope your pride is stronger than you else it'll have a bad bruise later." Verosh shrugged his shoulders, "I do not wish to fight as I still have exercises to do." That and his mother would maul him for going into an unauthorized duel - though if it was against another hybrid would it matter? She didn't have to worry about him beating up a pure Alkidike then....who would make a fuss if two hybrids fought it out? Still as tempting as the offer was today was not the day for him to fight. Verosh narrowed his gaze thoughtfully, "See how you can keep up with my dust."

He grinned devilishly, "On the count of ten I'm going to begin running again and if you can keep up then perhaps I'll think about one, just one, training session with you."

"Other exercies? Right! I suppose that is reason enough for you to avoid a fight with me." He said, doing his best to use a serious tone even though he was kind of amused at the moment. The fact that the other guy seemed to be so against a duel with him was actually interesting. Was it because he didn't think that Zigaran stood a chance or was it vice versa and Verosh just didn't want to admit to it?

Lifting an eyebrow as the other suddenly offered him up a challenge he said, "Alright, I'll take you up on your challenge but no crying later when I beat you soundly, Verosh." He supposed that it would be more then worth it. The other was kind of... annoying in a way, but instead of making him want to punch him it actually made him interesting. He wasn't hurling insults or telling Zigaran that he was a lesser being because of his mixed blood. He was as stubborn and rough around the edges as Zigaran was. It was enough to make him actually want to train with him as opposed to just wanting to pummel him into the ground like he did with most people his age.

"Well then, get to counting I suppose. I'm actually pretty eager to see how this race turns out."

"Pft." Verosh could only shake his head in faint amusement, "When one abides by a schedule then they shouldn't deter from it." No matter how annoying the other hybrid was Verosh was determined to not fight today. Not without his mother's approval - the last thing he wanted was to be punished for fighting without cause.

Verosh quirked an eyebrow at the taunting, "Seems you will be the one with plenty of experience in that department." After all why would he cry? He would have to be the one to lose first which was not going to happen. That stated the hybrid braced himself before counting down, "Three, two, and go!" With that Verosh bolted through the jungle...

"Of course." Zigaran said simple, not really buying it but he'd leave it be. If the guy didn't want to fight with him today then he'd let it pass. At least he was getting a race out of him and that was at least something that would help him as far as training went. Better that they did something other then just standing around doing nothing but arguing since an argument wasn't going to really get either of them anywhere. Well... anywhere other then both ending up annoyed that was.

"I'm sure that will have far more experience when it comes to beating you, yes." He agreed with a nod before he instantly set off, racing along with Verosh. He probably should have asked where they were racing too before the race started but no matter. So long as the other guy didn't cheat and just decide the end of the race was some random place based on him being ahead then Zigaran was fine with it ending wherever. If the guy cheated... well, they would deal with that if and when it happened.

Hah! This blue hybrid was full of humor, wasn't he? Verosh stopped himself from retaliating with another quip of his own. He would show this kid who the true winner was. At least that was his desire as he darted around several trees and giant roots in the forest. Honestly Verosh had no idea of where to call the race quits, but instead just pressed forward continuing until his body finally lost momentum and he would just stop - whenever and wherever that would be.
