"Accepted," Magdelyn nodded once and that was it, Aya was off the hook for another day.

"As Hunters of Moon, our primary aim should always be a matter of protecting those unable to protect themselves. These businesses run by the Clans all have a hidden face, on of harm and exploitation of humanity. Much of the initial work will be investigating, which is not often part of work, but do not downplay your perspective as a Moon Hunter. You will very likely understand the far reaching harm and impact on regular humans in a way other division's have perhaps...lost." The leader sighed.

"In war, civilian's can become part of the other nearly as much as our enemies. Do not fall down that path, do not lose your ties to humanity or take their lives as less valuable than our own."

Meara

After she had gotten the three text messages listing out the restrictions and noting the meeting time, Meara took to time to make sure she was clean and presentable. After all it wouldn't do to show up dirty even if she had limited resources thanks to the storm. Thankfully her white coat hadn't ended up dirty seeing how that would have been rather hard to clean.

Once done with that she left for the meeting, knowing she would still be on time so she didn't end up hurrying. Once inside the meeting room, her eyes darted around to take in those that had already arrived, pausing to give the lead a respectful nod. Of the other Moon Hunter's there, only one ended up catching her attention since she actually knew him rather then only seeing them in passing and she headed over to the full Hunter with a smile. "Looks like I made it in time." She said as she took a seat by Spinar, opposite to the woman he was with. Once sitting down, the brunette gave a friendly smile to them both then summoned her weapon and set the sword down on the table.

Meara looked over the two Hunter's, though Spinar a bit more then the woman, and was glad to see they weren't too worse for wear beyond what everyone else was in the storms aftermath. "Been busy rebuilding?" She asked Jacob when she saw the dirt under his fingernails. While on one hand she was pretty sure they all had been doing some cleaning the best they could, he at least would have been actually building.

[Chao]

Once her phone stopped buzzing, no fun was disappointing. Cadence wondered if she could sneak into a portal or if they had been shut down. Still there was a division meeting starting soon and being late would be bad.

It would of course be even worse to come dishevel so she took her time running her brush through her hair, making sure all the knots where out before put it in its usual side ponytail and clipping in her flower hairpin.

She was glad that she had been wearing her coat during the hurricane, she could only imagine the amount of lecturing she would have gotten if it had gone missing.

She quickly found herself a seat and summoned her weapon, the scythe was about as tall as she was, and she was very tall, especially for a woman. So she set Aether behind her chair as she waited for the meeting to start.

[BORR]

Borr wasn't sure why everyone needed their weapons out. He didn't peg Moon as a division of show-offs or intimidators. Without immediate danger there was no reason to. He merely listened, large arms crossed over his chest, as their Division Leader spoke.

He was fully in support of protection and strength, of being a solid foundation, and keeping to traditions that other thought were long past.

He glanced at Lucien and gave his friend a little nudge. He wasn't sure what else was happening at the meeting but he was sure there was some training to do.

Kara sat pointedly straight in their chair, waiting for others to filter in. They had, of course, taken the time to groom and change their clothes before arriving at the meeting. Never mind that the repair work was dirty and exhausting, or that they had very little in the way of clothing left. One needed to be respectful for the division meeting.

You look nice, Delly chirped.

I make an attempt, Kara said, and cupped one hand around the curve of the flail's heavy metal ball where she lay on the table, touching the glowing white runes with affectionate fingertips. They couldn't help but like Delly; they had initially been somewhat put off by the many's bright cheer and determined optimism, but they had come to appreciate their weapon's sweet-tempered nature over the time they'd been bonded. Either that, or it was some kind of Stockholm syndrome thing. They weren't ruling that out. Nevertheless, they did like Delly. She was a good partner, more than just a good weapon.

Would they be performing missions in disguise as a horseman? That part of Magdelyn's statement caught their attention. They weren't sure they were a good enough actor for that. However, if they were assigned, they would have to be good enough. That was all there was to it.

They were frankly a little disappointed that Aya had not chosen to defend her conduct via combat. They shot a sly, narrow look in her direction, their mouth quirking into a slightly mocking smile.

Lucien Red

"I'm Lucien," he said to Aya, somewhat belatedly. At the last moment, he remembered to keep up appearances and keep up the idea that he was an excellent person to be around, Lucien flashing a bright, hopefully cheerful smile at the other two. "I'm still, uh, new-ish..."

Mostly. He was still working on being a better hunter, really, but -

A deep, familiar voice interrupted Lucien's thoughts, and he swiveled in his chair to catch sight of Borr's large form moving to stand beside him, Lucien's thoughts turning from nervous to relieved in an instant. He felt comfortable around Borr, which was more than he could say for anyone else, really.

"Nope, haven't missed anything," he said quickly. "I was just, uh, introducing myself and all to people and stuff and things."

He cast a glance at Haddy and Aya again, trying to smile reassuringly at them both before his gaze moved to their division leader again. Lucien shrank down in his seat and tried to pretend that he was nothing more than just - well, there.

Borr's nudge made Lucien peek over at him, his shoulders rising and falling in a helpless shrug, although he thought he understood the question that wasn't actually being asked.

Zana Sisulu

One of the first things Zana noted was that she didn't actually have any ... nice clothes left. Most of her clothing had been swept away, or otherwise destroyed in the hurricane. But she tried her best. She tried hand-washing her clothing, and taking some of the dirt and grime out of it. It wasn't the most effective thing she could have done, but she had tried?

Hopefully she didn't look so out of place that her pay got docked.

She slipped into the room, much more silent than her stature would imply, and hurriedly slipped her body into an available seat. She didn't want to say anything or do anything that would draw unnecessary attention to herself, especially because there were already so many people in the room that she was certain that she was not entirely on time. That, in itself, would draw attention.

Awkwardly, she fingered at her side before summoning her weapon as expected, placing it gently on the table in front of her. While she didn't understand why it was necessary for everyone to see her scimitar, she knew that it was required. At least it wasn't a big weapon. Around the room, she dimly observed some of the other weapons, like a big scythe. She felt fortunate she hadn't been chosen by a scythe.

An awkward smile spread on her face if she was looked at, but otherwise she kept her shoulders in, kept her mouth shut, and focused on the words of their division leader.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Zana is a trainee Moon hunter with dyed purple hair, violet eyes, and dark skin. She stands at 6'3" and has a curvy build, though she tries her best to not look very intimidating. With how nervous she looks most of the time, it's probably working.

Asteria slipped into the room, closing the door behind her quietly.
She felt a little bad she was late (partially due to her waking late and her hair being an untameable mess in the morning), but appearance was everything, as specified.

Coat draped gracefully over her shoulder, she tweaked the final touches of the ribbon in her braid, and smoothed the shorts she wore over her tights.
It probably would have saved her some time to get buckle boots instead of laces, but having them done up and proper showed off a sort of finesse she liked to exude.

Though she was but a trainee, Asteria took her role seriously. She would make sure to fulfill all she was set out to do and more. They were the support others depended on. They were the hunters others relied on. And she intended to do all this and more.

The inquiry startled Asteria, and she blinked.

Of course, Petra. It doesn't hurt to be enthusiastic, does it?
The kitsune chuckled.

It was a simple compliment, but it motivated Asteria further.
While she didn't show it, Petra never seemed interested in much, but whether feigned or not, always provided support to whatever Asteria did.

Ahaha...

Eh-hem.
Asteria cleared her throat, trying to stop the blush creeping up on her face.
Right, time to focus.

[ Tanner ]

God, he hated meetings. It was impossible to be much more than an arms' length away from everyone and he might actually have to voice his opinion on something. Tanner wasn't great at voicing anything. He'd much rather just listen to the mission objectives, give the bare minimum to acknowledge his understanding and agreement, and get everything over with. More people meant that someone might actually try to strike up some meaningless chatter. It wasn't that he didn't have time for it; he just wasn't a social butterfly to any stretch of the imagination.

At least he'd managed to get himself cleaned up, so the only thing he could possibly be reprimanded for would be his preference for staring at the tabletop rather than looking toward those speaking. The man didn't slouch, but sat straight and rigid in his seat. He was listening; they should know that. In the painful event that he was asked to repeat anything, he could remember it. Probably. If it was asked immediately. He could regurgitate the jest of it, ok?

Tanner wasn't unintelligent, but his memory was shot for some reason or another for as long as he could - or couldn't - recall. While some days he could remember exactly what he was supposed to be doing, the next day he could fail to remember anything from names to objectives and yet some meaningless memory from fifteen years ago would surface loud and clear. It was ******** frustrating, and not just for him.

His weapon was summoned mechanically, set on the tabletop in front of him. It was quiet as well. Thank God he'd been chosen by a weapon that didn't fill his mind with conversation day in and day out. He'd certainly heard about others who had the more enthusiastic sorts.

At least it had a better memory than he did.
